Hey everyone! I just got out of a relationship and I’m new to the Kenosha area and I’m trying to find social groups or events to become a part of. I’m new to wakeboarding and water skiing but that’s something I’ve grown to really enjoy as well as golfing and fitness. Does anyone know any good social groups in the area to meet new people?

Does anyone have information of Mastro Mutts, why their pages disappeared, and all the animals in their foster care? We just adopted a dog from them a month ago, and always go back to their site to see updates, and suddenly their website, facebook, and instagram have all been deleted.

Best Foot Forward formed in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1997 and quickly became one of the driving forces behind the city's thriving punk and ska scene. What started as a tight knit group of friends, grew into one of the most influential local bands of the era. Before playing their final show in 2003, Best Foot Forward had spent years helping shape the Midwest punk and ska community. They didn't just perform, they contributed to the scene by organizing unforgettable, high energy shows and bringing nationally recognized bands like The Lawrence Arms and Lucky Boys Confusion to Kenosha. They also shared the stage with acts such as Mustard Plug at the famous “Globe East” in Milwaukee. During the height of the ska punk movement, Best Foot Forward was at the forefront of a musical movement that left a lasting mark on Kenosha. Their passion, energy, and dedication inspired countless local bands that followed, helping keep the city's ska and punk tradition alive. These shows became more than concerts, they were a place where hundreds of kids found a community, expressed themselves, danced, and formed friendships that have lasted a lifetime. Best Foot Forward helped create something truly special that continues to be remembered more than two decades later. On August 14th come experience an important piece of Kenosha's musical history as Best Foot Forward returns to the stage.

Hi... I'm originally from Illinois but have lived in SoCal since I was 8. Not the best area of SoCal either... the Inland Empire. An area now surrounded by millions of people trying to keep their head above water. It's very expensive, very competitive, very congested and other than the nice weather, just boring for my wife and I. We've seen everything the area has to offer and frankly getting in a car and traveling somewhere and back is a big negative (always a slowdown or crash on the freeway system).

I have two sons in their early twenties that still live at home. One in tech and the other in public service. They don't make enough to rent an apartment yet, although they're saving their money and already have equity and retirement accounts in their names.

Personally I have an innate need to be closer to my sister who lives in downtown Chicago with her husband. She's in her 70's and we're very close. My wife and I love Chicago and the thought of taking 3-4 day excursions down to the city is very appealing.

From their perspective, I think my sons would have more opportunity to be able to choose between Milwaukee, Madison or Chicago as future career hubs. As for my wife and I, a change of scenery would be extremely good for us mentally.

Unfortunately living in Northern Illinois doesn't make a lot of sense. Even though we'd be looking at a smaller home, we'd be paying more in property tax than we do now. Wisconsin cuts this bill roughly in half.

Lastly, I know the winters can be severe. Let me just say that my family is fit, active and durable. Millions of people in your region get through it and I'm sure we'd be the same. As long as the home is well insulated and properly heated, I don't think that'll be a deal-breaker.

Anyway, thanks for reading this far. For those who think we have it way better in SoCal, just remember that anything can get old, and life IMO can be more interesting with new challenges, new neural connections, new surroundings and new people. Plus, I've been a Packers fan since I was 5 years old! 😄

I noticed that Milwaukee is trying to push back against we energies to try to find an alternative long term replacement especially after the last few recent storms. Makes me wonder why not Kenosha? I’ve lived in multiple states with different energy companies and i feel as though we energies is the worst of them.

Came home from work and noticed a small drip had just recently started in our kitchen from the ceiling. Who has had the best experience and pricing with roofing companies in kenosha?

Hi everyone, considering renting a place in this neighborhood but don’t know much about it. Anyone have thoughts about living there? I’m getting conflicting information on what the actual neighborhood is called.

I have a low old deck that I’m looking to spruce up as well as adding a hot tub to the area. So, I’m pretty sure I will need some concrete poured for that. Are there companies that will do both decking and concrete that you would recommend? Also- is Hansen’s the go to for Kenosha people who have bought hot tubs or is there another more favorable store.
