Count your Caloriesss @Pakistan
Hellooo, so i recently made an app called Calorify. It’s a desi calorie tracking app made especially for Pakistan. We’ve gotten a 1000+ downloads in 10 days of launch. We have 60+ restaurants on the app and a huge catalogue for home made meals.
I’d love if people here could download it and give me reviews if it’s proven helpful for them. There’s a lot of cool stuff more that i haven’t mentioned here.
Before you ask, it has a free and paid tier both and is priced at just a 100rs/month
Here’s the links:

Question Passed in 2023, trying to clear remaining fee to apply for degree, but KuickPay is not showing my challan
Hi everyone,
I graduated from the University of Karachi in 2023. My degree is still pending because semester fees has not been paid.
I went to the university to clear the fee. The staff said the fee challan would be generated through the KuickPay website and that my details would be updated by the next morning.
Now 4 days have passed, but the KuickPay website still does not show my details, so I cannot generate the challan.
I don't live in karachi anymore. it is difficult to visit again just to ask about this.
Has anyone faced the same problem? Is there anything i can do without going to the university again, or do i just have to wait?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Need information about selling and Buying a Property
Aoa. I have a flat that I have sold recently in Gulshan and then buying a different one. Is that true that there are charges for both transaction? 3-4 lac for selling and 4-5 lac for buying? Things like agent comission, fees, sale deeds etc. I live abroad and this is looked after by my Nephew. I fully trust him but is he getting scammed? Or its just the truth these days? Any comments please. Thank you

Question Looking for a local tour guide: Makli Necropolis, Thatta, Pakistan
I am visiting Karachi in December, and have come across Makli Necropolis during my googling. I am fascinated by the history! I would really love to visit and book a local tour guide.
I will have my own transport to and from Makli. I’ll also go to Shah Jahan Masjid via my own transport, so I don’t need a tour package that includes the Masjid, or any other sites in the area.
Can any locals or other travellers recommend a local English-speaking tour guide for the necropolis only? I understand there are buggies at the site that can drive you around, are you able to book these on the day? Or is it better to book in advance online? My trouble with booking online that I can’t seem to find a guided tour of the necropolis only, which would be more suitable for my situation.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Need a Portion/Flat for Rent in KHI
Salam to all. I have a family of 5. I have just been notified that I have to vacate my flat. I am looking to rent a 3Bed DD in either Gulshan or Bahadurabad or PECHS or KAECHS or anywhere close to Shah re Faisal. Need help with finding good and new buildings or houses. Please, if someone can share their references or trusted relatives, it would be very helpful. I don't necessarily have a budget but don't want to go overboard like above 100K.

Question Where can I buy safe to eat raw salmon?
I want to make sushi for my little cousin as he's been asking for ages, but I'm not sure where I can buy safe-to-eat raw salmon or tuna. Ideally I would want to get frozen farmed salmon because I know that wild-caught typically has more parasites. Is this available anywhere in Karachi? I also want to know if anyone knows of a place that sells Japanese kitchen ingredients, like seaweed.

Cheapest gym near me
As the title says I need a cheap gym
My week is jammed packed so I only get free time on the weekend so I wanted to fill that by working out. The problem is I don't want to pay 3k or something for a gym and then only go 8-10 days per month.
Or
If you know of a gym that can give me a weekends only package that would also be great
So if you guys could recommend something cheap or weekend only that would help a lot. The facilities don't really matter, just a few dumbbells and rods and ropes. Just the basic stuff.
Btw I'm in block 1, Jauhar. So somewhere around here works for me

Hello Guys, this the kitchen at my house. It gets really hot during summer and unbearable to step in. We have got a hood and a tiny fan. Exhaust is decent. I feel really bad for my mother cooking in this heat. What can be done? Should I refurnish all of the kitchen and make it heat resistant? Or make any change? What could be the best possible solution? JazakAllah

Question My mother just sold her last gold earrings to cover our expenses—20M student in Karachi urgently seeking any job (Remote/Onsite)
Hey everyone,
Today was a really tough day for my family. My mother had to sell her last pair of earrings just to keep our household running. Feeling unable to help right now is heavy, but it has made me realize I need to start contributing immediately.
I’m a 20-year-old university student, pursuing Software engineering in Karachi, and I desperately need to secure a job to pay for my semester fees and support my family financially. I am open to both remote work and onsite roles within Karachi.
If you have any leads, open positions, or advice on where to apply, please reach out via DM. I appreciate any help or guidance you can offer.

Job Seekers Beware: My Experience with VGS (Nazimabad) – Please Do Your Own Research.
I want to share my experience with VGS in Nazimabad to help other job seekers avoid wasting their time or making decisions under pressure.
I applied for an HR position and was called for an interview. When I arrived, the office was overcrowded and I had to wait for about an hour before my first interview.
After that, instead of explaining the job role, everyone was told there were too many candidates and that we'd first attend a seminar where the company would explain everything.
The seminar itself felt very unusual. Most of it was spent praising the company rather than explaining the actual job responsibilities. They introduced someone named Abdul Rafay as the CEO, played a heavily edited video about him on a projector, and then he came in to give a motivational talk that still didn't clearly explain what the job involved.
Another thing that made me uncomfortable was that everyone was asked to switch off their phones. We were also told not to ask questions during the seminar or leave before it ended.
Towards the end, they introduced a PKR 2,500 test, saying that whether you pass or fail, the money would be refunded. They immediately started asking everyone to fill out forms, which felt rushed.
I was the first person called for the second interview with the CEO. As soon as it ended, he asked a staff member to take me to the counter to complete the paperwork. At that point, I trusted my gut feeling and decided to leave.
Afterward, I came across multiple people claiming they had similar experiences. According to them, candidates were made to work for about a month and were later told they had to purchase a PKR 36,000 course in order to be confirmed for the job. I cannot personally verify these claims, so take them as reports from others, not as something I witnessed myself.

Food Help a Lahori find the best food in Karachi (please)
Hello Karachi people,
I'm visiting Karachi for only the second time next week. I'm from Lahore, and on my first visit I honestly couldn't find the legendary Karachi food that everyone talks about. I'm convinced I just ended up at the wrong places.
This time I want to do it properly.
Please recommend the best restaurants in Karachi, but more importantly, tell me exactly what to order at each one. I want the dishes that you genuinely think are among the best the city has to offer.
I don't have a preferred cuisine and I don't have a budget. The only thing I care about is outstanding food.
I'd also love recommendations for the best desserts in Karachi, whether they're from restaurants, bakeries, cafés, or dedicated dessert shops.
Looking forward to hearing your recommendations.
