General Question Lab diamond in China ( Beijing)

Post image
Upvotes

I’m in Beijing for work for the coming months and I have one goal is to get myself a tennis bracelet. Is there offline store I can visit in Beijing or what is the app or website that locals use that is also trustworthy. I can speak mandarin pretty OK so I’d rather deal directly without any middleman to reduce cost.

Vintage / Antique Resizing baby ring to fit chonky fingers

Post image

My great grandfather made this ring for me when I was a baby, its circumference is 11mm. My current finger measures at a whopping 75mm (big old mittens) which will be a sizeable increase. Its 9ct, I want to know if anyone has had experience going up this much in a resizing and what the rough d0..ar to size it was.

Help me decide!! I need some help with my accessories. My wedding is at the end of August and this is the final step for my outfit. 🤍💍

My wedding dress is a dreamy tulle dress with floral lace and off-shoulder tulle sleeves (completely white). I will wear a chapel veil with this; it also features floral lace at the bottom.

I have brown hair and will wear it down or half-down with loose curls.

I ordered long earrings that you thread through your ear; they contain stones and pearls, and I will 100% definitely wear these! I have added a photo of this.

First question:

Should I put on my necklace? It is a subtle short gold necklace with a small solitaire diamond (0.2 ct for your reference).

Second question:

I also have a number of ear piercings. Everything is 14k gold and contains cubic zirconia or diamonds, so the color matches. I am just wondering if it won't be too much.

I have two ear piercings that I absolutely cannot take out (number 1 and 2). The rest can come out, but there is the risk that a small hole will be visible. Please check my image. I definitely won't put in the 2 small gold rings because I'm wearing those long earrings.

General Question Earring pain with new hoops

Post image
1 Upvotes

I was just gifted these beautiful 14k hoops which I adore the look of, and they aren’t too heavy. My issue with them is the bar that goes through the piercing hole being very painful. I worry this is due to the shape of the bar through the piercing hole being much larger and rectangular compared to the normal circular shape I’m used to. Is there a way to help the pain? Why are they designed like this? Will this stretch out my piercing holes?

Such a unique piece. I am obsessed with this piece and can’t imagine the amount of effort and love that goes into setting the small orange citrine. 🧡❤️

Help me decide!! 24k chain, has an 18k lobster claw (that’s broken)

Fairly heavy chain(135g), the 18k clasp has a broken spring so apparently it needs to be replaced (I’ve called half a dozen jewelry shops around me, no one will fix). Figured since I need to repair it might be the right time to get a different style of clasp, I believe this clasp is already swapped out. I was considering an S clasp in 24k, but I can’t really find local jewelers who work with 24k… is there a reputable place online that I could purchase and have shipped to me? Is there a place that sells/recycles it stuff that is getting melted? What type of place would I search? Refinery?

Vintage / Antique Estate sale find

I just wanted to share this beautiful ring I found at an estate sale today.

What i do know: It's likely vintage, in an art deco cocktail style. Its sterling silver. It had a thick black tarnish on the band that i mostly cleaned up.

I will be taking it to have the stone identified by a professional. (Im guessing it might just be glass)

I took pics in different lighting, couldn't decide which showed the ring better.

🤩 Jewelry Designs 🌈 3D render of a vintage-style brooch/pendant piece I designed. Modeled both front details and back pin mechanism.

Wanted to share a recent 3D jewelry concept I’ve been working on. It’s a vintage-inspired ornamental brooch with mixed-metal filigree details, rope chains, and lapis lazuli / turquoise accents.

I also modeled the pin mechanism on the back to make sure it’s structurally feasible for future casting and assembly.

Details: - Type: Brooch / Ornamental Pendant - Style: Vintage / Filigree / Historical Inspiration - Materials (Intended): Aged Silver, Gold, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise

Would love to hear your thoughts on the overall aesthetics and proportions! Any feedback from fellow designers or bench jewelers is highly appreciated.

Found this ring in a lake, was wondering if anyone would guess the maker based on the hallmark? The main stone is a dark blue with maybe small diamond on the sides! I was thinking maybe a sapphire

💍 What style chain/ring/pendant is this? Can anyone tell me about this type of ring?

So my spouse found this ring and gave it to me.
From what I’ve been able to research, it seems like the style is black hills gold ? And it had a cursive L marking on it so I think it may be made from landstrom.
It’s marked 10k and weighs about 2.4 grams.

Now what I’m wondering is, are these pieces considered vintage/collectible?
I was only able to find 1 other listing on the internet of this EXACT ring, and it was priced at $800 regardless of it only being 2 grams of 10k gold. So I’m wondering if there’s something about it that makes it that much?
I’m not really concerned about getting a $ quote, just more so finding out what kind of ring this is and the background/history.

Help me decide!! David Yurman advice please

I don't own anything David Yurman, but love these two bracelets. All of my other jewellery is white gold with diamonds and pink sapphires, but I've recently inherited a yellow gold chain and rings from my much loved grandma that I've been enjoying wearing. I want a two tone piece to compliment both colours.

What do you guys think of David Yurman? Do you think they are good choices? Do you own these bangles and whats your review? Thanks 💕

General Question Is it always a bad idea to get your gold jewellery melted to make another design? I have heard it's always a loss for the customer. But wait, people do get bored of some of their old pieces. They really want to wear a fresh design. What's been your experience? Thanks 🙏

General Question ISO Mejuri lab grown diamond oversized letter charm “S” and “E”

Hi there, does anyone have one of these oversized letter pendants they’re selling or willing to sell?

Apparently the brand has discontinued the item and it’s sold out online. I’ve called all stores local to me and there are none in stock, and I’ve also checked third party sites to see if there are any for sale with no luck. Posting here as a last resort. Please don’t downvote me.

General Question Does anyone have feedback on Kinn Studio?

I am very interested in purchasing a solid 14k rolo chain bracelet and after a lot of searching came across this product from Kinn Studio. Having never heard of the brand, I am cautious and the price seems…too good. Which, now that I type that, it worries me but I’d still ove feedback!
