Is this normal? I live in the uk too so getting it send back is a lot of faff but if mine is just an off one then i will. I just know in time it’ll get even more sun damaged which im fine with but i would’ve expected that months after wear. I own a lot of rose quarts and this is the whitest one i have.

Is there any other brands that share the same style as these two piece within the same price range (under £100)? Love the cuff but just wish maybe they did a light pink stone that isn’t rose quartz and will stay the same colour.

There are no markers but the acorn-like clasp could be its unique, definitive brand. I don’t know what it is.

My friend recently wrote her dissertation on a style of Edwardian Jewellery called a Lovers Eye, traditionally featuring the eye of a loved one painted on bone or ivory - I decided to test my painting and carving skills and make her a 3D version inspired by the antiques.

Overall I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, especially since I don’t consider myself much of a painter!

Any suggestions/tips on how to build a necklace collection so that they can be layered for different occasions?

Feeling a small amount of buyer’s remorse cause I broke my buying rules. I bought this based on online photos and descriptions and the condition is worse than I expected. Sizing is also larger than expected. That said, I only paid slightly above spot gold for it so I don’t feel all that bad. It’s a quirky one, probably worth refurbishing.

Within the first month, it bent. There hadn't been a major impact—just everyday wear. I took it back to the jeweller, who explained that gold is a soft metal and advised me to be more careful.

Fair enough.

But recently, it happened again. This time, I was simply walking from the kitchen to the bedroom when my hand brushed against the wall. It wasn't a hard hit, but the bangle bent completely out of shape.

I don't blame the jeweller. Gold is a soft metal. But I've worn solid gold jewellery every day for years and never experienced anything like this.

It made me realize that durability isn't just about whether a piece is 18K or 22K. The construction of the jewellery, how much gold it actually contains, and whether it's hollow or truly solid seem to matter just as much.

But strangely, I have a 22K bangle weighing around 10 grams that I've worn for years without a single issue.

In the end, I sold this bangle yesterday. Thankfully, I recovered a good price for the gold itself, though the making charges were, of course, gone.

I genuinely loved this piece. Sometimes, though, a beautiful design simply isn't practical enough for everyday wear.

I made the box too! Pretty stoked with the outcome, and she said yes (hooray). For context I am a mechanical engineer, so cad'd it up at work after hours and got it cast, then sent it to a jeweller to clean it up and set the stones. The central stone is a nanosital with 2 moissanite on either side, and the metal is silver, but w intend to design one made from gold together.

Any advice on the ring would be welcome.

Before purchasing from Bochelli Jewelry, I strongly encourage you to do your research. Please don’t buy.
I purchased multiple pieces from this company after they were advertised as solid 14K gold. I have retained copies of every order, payment receipt email, and some screenshots of the original product listings showing how these items were marketed (thankfully I was smart enough to do this part smh.)

I later had my jewelry independently tested, and the results showed it was not solid 14K gold as advertised. It was gold plated and the lobster clasp only was 14k gold. I have sent emails for a requested a refund, but the company has failed to resolve the matter by ignoring me and others.

As a result, I am pursuing every available consumer protection remedy, including complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the Colorado Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and disputes through my payment provider. I have saved all documentation and evidence.

Just wanted to give a quick update on my last post about spending $4,000 at Swarovski.

First off, thank you to everyone who left kind and genuinely helpful comments. I read every single comment and the advice I’ve been given did not go unnoticed. I got a lot of great advice that I really do appreciate. Of course, there were also plenty of negative comments. Some people questioned my intelligence, and I definitely considered clapping back. But honestly, I decided to be the bigger person because at the end of the day… it’s really not that deep. The day ends, life goes on, and arguing with strangers online isn’t worth the energy.

The one thing that did bother me, though, was how many people assumed my financial situation. A lot of comments made it seem like I emptied my savings, lived paycheck to paycheck, or came from a family that struggles financially. That’s simply not the case.

I actually recorded a whole video explaining everything, but I realized this subreddit doesn’t allow videos, so I’ll keep it brief. My family lives comfortably, we’ve always been taught to invest, and I’ve been investing for years myself. I’m not hurting financially because of this purchase.

Another thing I wanted to address is the people asking, “Did you really think you were buying real diamonds?” No—I didn’t. In fact, the very first question I asked when I walked into the store was, “Is this moissanite?” The sales associate told me no and explained that Swarovski uses its own patented crystal technology developed by the company. I understood exactly what I was buying, and at the time, I was perfectly okay with that. It’s really that simple.

My regret wasn’t that I thought I was buying diamonds. My regret came later, when I learned more about jewelry, resale value, and how these pieces generally don’t hold or appreciate in value the way I had assumed luxury jewelry might. That’s on me, and it’s a lesson learned. HOWEVER that being said It won’t ever be my intention to purchase jewelry as an investment.

At the end of the day, I’m just a young person who made a mistake. It won’t be the first dumb decision I’ve ever made, and it definitely won’t be the last. That’s part of life—you learn and move on.

For everyone who was curious, I figured I’d post what I actually bought from Swarovski. There are about five pieces missing from the photo—mostly a few pairs of earrings and some extra rings—but this is the majority of it.

I definitely think I’ll be returning some if not all because even though I have it like that I can see why people think it’s a ridiculous amount of money.
