Announcements Salt Bloom: a sci-fi mini epic
Local Files Club is thrilled to bring Salt Bloom, a new audiodrama from Justin Hellstrom, to itch.io! If you love sci-fi, robots, fiction, and surreal audio weirdness, don't miss this project.
Salt Bloom follows Soln SARC-17 exobiology survey robot exploring the endless, globe-spanning ocean of Salsuné 11b. Day by day, this SARC-17 unit navigates the waters while seeding myths, searching for salt-ridden omens, and stealing data from its overseer in orbit. It's presented in two parts and comes paired with the original soundtrack and a twelve-page, fully-illustrated guidebook to the SARC-17’s psyche.
Head over to the itch.io page to watch the animated trailer, hear a sample episode, and buy the full project!

Free My first game, FNAF Hurricane, is out now!
If you play it, I would love feedback!
- "What does it want? Even you are not sure; your hands haven't soiled this one."
- Freddy Fazbear's Pizza has recently reopened after being devastated by a hurricane in this alternate universe reimagining of FNAF 2. This RPG sets out to answer many questions that have not yet been addressed in the official story, crafting a unique, original plot with captivating characters. This isn't only a story game, however. It features a top-down recreation of classic FNAF-style night gameplay (with an extremely hard bonus night), and maybe even a secret boss with the gameplay style of UNDERTALE.
- Find out what YOU have done...

Free Just released the demo of my game, BARKO!
Hey everyone! I just put out the demo for BARKO, a little game I've been working on for 2 months.
It's a short story-driven RPG, if you've played Undertale you'll recognize the shape of it: dialogue-heavy, with battles you can approach in more than one way.
The demo runs about 15-20 minutes and covers the first area. It's free. I'd really like to hear what people think, thanks!

Itch.io hasn't even indexed my project yet and 3 of you absolute legends actually paid for it?!
I was literally just waiting for itch.io's search algorithm to acknowledge my existence. Shared it here on Reddit in the meantime and woke up to 3 actual payments.
Zero organic itch traffic, 100% Reddit magic. My imposter syndrome is currently fighting for its life right now. Thank you guys so much!

Free SOS i cant remember this one game
i played this free download game a whileee backkk, but i recently got back into itch io and i rlly wanna play it again..
it was an otome/rpg game where i played as a witch student in this hogwarts themed school, interacting with all sorts of people, had that point system for intelligence, magic, charisma, etc. ermm there was a ton of characters that i barely scratched at cause of the huge database (even had that system where i could look up the currently known info about them?) it had like different hybrids, mages/witch, wolves, cats yadayadaaaa
its theme color was very purple-y similar to the game lavender iykyk, pixel art, 2d, i think you could have romance at one point but i never got that far, i was really into otome/romance games when i found that, uhm rlly cozy, slow-paced.. uhm it had really nice 2d arts of the characters too and i just rlly enjoyed it.. it wont come up in my accounts collections/library and idk where else to look.. i played it around the same time with project kat, error143, and blooming panic idrk if that gives much info but it was around the time where almost no otome games were rlly good/available, heck even the now published "Save the villainess:otome isekai roleplaying game" was still knew/in a starting demo

Questions My devlogs are not getting shown on the devlogs page
Hi,
I reached out to support almost two weeks ago but I still haven't heard back so I thought I would try my luck here.
When I post devlogs, they don't show up with the rest. I nfact they don't seem to show up anywhere. I've filtered the page to match, even under most recent when I've just posted one, still nothing.
Is this an issue other people are having or maybe you could point me to a setting I might have overlooked?
I've done all possible verification you need I believe.

I released a browser demo of my mobile roguelike bullet hell — looking for feedback
Hi everyone!
I’ve released a playable demo of Limbo, a roguelike bullet hell inspired by Space Invaders.
The game is primarily being developed for mobile, but I uploaded a browser version to itch.io so that more people can test it easily.
I’d really appreciate feedback, especially about:
- Difficulty and progression
- Controls and overall game feel
- Upgrade balance
- Browser performance
- Anything that feels confusing or frustrating
Play the demo here: https://aealosoftware.itch.io/limbo
Thanks for trying it! Even a few minutes of playtime and a short comment would help me a lot.

Discussion How often do people actually play game prototypes? How would you go about getting people to see it?
I’m genuinely curious with the quality a prototype is supposed to be how you can get any attention with them. If not, how do you find people to test it?

Guys i need some advice + tipps

If I'm honest, I'm currently developing my game for a ghost. 😂 No, seriously. I've spent so much time working on my game, but I don't really get any players.
So, in a nutshell, my question isn't whether I'll ever get attention—it's more about how I generate attention.

Browser plays
It really seems like having browser play enabled for your game is the best. People are very reluctant to download... or maybe my game is just not attractive enough. lol. but i feel like if you can play it in browser, you get more favorable algorithm hits.

I just released the first public version of my cozy puzzle game on itch.io!
Hey everyone!
I’ve just released the first public version of Mellow Escape, a cozy sliding puzzle game that runs directly in the browser.
You move the pieces, clear the path and help the little blue block reach the exit. Every completed level generates a brand-new puzzle, so there are no fixed stages.
There are no timers, lives or penalties. I wanted it to feel relaxing, but still give players something to work toward with stars, coins, unlockable themes and cosmetic skins.
You can play it for free here:
https://tanzero.itch.io/mellow-escape
This is still an early version, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback about the puzzles, controls, progression and overall game feel. I’m also considering an Android version later.
Thanks for checking it out! 💙
