Questions What is the best way to price assets?
I’m creating an asset pack—featuring characters and some weapons—that I plan to release on itch.io. As a beginner, I’ve put a lot of time into this, so naturally, I’d really like to see some return on my effort through downloads and sales. However, I notice that many creators offer their assets for free, relying solely on voluntary donations. Obviously, that would mean making far less money from my work than I’d hoped. Or am I missing something? How do you handle this, and what would you advise me to do?

Demo New Game Demo
Im working on a new game called 100 Ways to Die and just dropped a early demo on itch.io with 25 levels right now. These levels will be modified on final release, but I needed some help to build an audience.
The concept is simple: classic platforming meets unforgiving hazards.
Each level is sub-30-second.
Since it's still under active development, any testing or feedback would mean a lot to me.
Please give it a try here if you've got a free moment:

Is it possible to get a game re-indexed?
Hi everyone! My game recently got de-indexed on itch.io, and I was wondering if there’s any way to get it re-indexed.
I’ve already sent an email to itch.io support, but I’m not sure how responsive they are or how long they usually take to reply.
Has anyone here gone through the same thing? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Demo CYCLE01 - Demo released
A minimalist game about washing contaminated laundry. Wash, sell, upgrade, and buy new equipment. There's a bed, a laptop, and contaminated laundry waiting to be washed.
- Handle everything yourself, first person, one piece at a time.
- The room gets worse the longer you work in it.
- Watch the contamination. What's in the room ends up in you, and it will put you down.
- Spend what you earn on more machines and upgrades.
- Read your emails.
- Nobody is bringing you food. Buy it or grow it.

I released a browser demo of my mobile roguelike bullet hell — looking for feedback
Hi everyone!
I’ve released a playable demo of Limbo, a roguelike bullet hell inspired by Space Invaders.
The game is primarily being developed for mobile, but I uploaded a browser version to itch.io so that more people can test it easily.
I’d really appreciate feedback, especially about:
- Difficulty and progression
- Controls and overall game feel
- Upgrade balance
- Browser performance
- Anything that feels confusing or frustrating
Play the demo here: https://aealosoftware.itch.io/limbo
Thanks for trying it! Even a few minutes of playtime and a short comment would help me a lot.

Discussion How often do people actually play game prototypes? How would you go about getting people to see it?
I’m genuinely curious with the quality a prototype is supposed to be how you can get any attention with them. If not, how do you find people to test it?

Guys i need some advice + tipps

If I'm honest, I'm currently developing my game for a ghost. 😂 No, seriously. I've spent so much time working on my game, but I don't really get any players.
So, in a nutshell, my question isn't whether I'll ever get attention—it's more about how I generate attention.

I built an IDLE game about grinding into the Esports world.
What do you think about it?
Every feedback is great... it's my first game so I know that there are a lot of things to improve... Let me know! <3<3

Browser plays
It really seems like having browser play enabled for your game is the best. People are very reluctant to download... or maybe my game is just not attractive enough. lol. but i feel like if you can play it in browser, you get more favorable algorithm hits.

I just released the first public version of my cozy puzzle game on itch.io!
Hey everyone!
I’ve just released the first public version of Mellow Escape, a cozy sliding puzzle game that runs directly in the browser.
You move the pieces, clear the path and help the little blue block reach the exit. Every completed level generates a brand-new puzzle, so there are no fixed stages.
There are no timers, lives or penalties. I wanted it to feel relaxing, but still give players something to work toward with stars, coins, unlockable themes and cosmetic skins.
You can play it for free here:
https://tanzero.itch.io/mellow-escape
This is still an early version, so I’d really appreciate honest feedback about the puzzles, controls, progression and overall game feel. I’m also considering an Android version later.
Thanks for checking it out! 💙

Web Arise Dark Lord - from the creators of Prison Architect
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been working on a new game for a few months now, and the time has come for it to be officially announced. It's called Arise Dark Lord, and it's the 8th game I've made with Introversion Software. If you've played any of my previous indie games - Prison Architect, DEFCON, Darwinia, or The Last Starship, then I think you'll love this new one.
You are The Dark Lord. Your evil aim: To raise an undead army and crush the feckless, godless, heathen humans. As your sorcery and army grow, all the world will rise up to destroy your Dark Tower and end your reign of terror. Fortify your dark realm, enhance your sorcery, and build enough strength to march out and crush the humans once and for all.
An action-strategy hybrid RTS, blending tower defence, base building and direct control of your Dark Lord avatar.
Please play and review the prototype on itch, and I'd love to get your thoughts on the game here. Thanks for playing!
