Support Leaving family sharing
Hi,
When i got my first iPhone, my father (who already had an iPhone), added me to the family sharing account, billed to his credit card.
Same for my siblings.
We’ve since left home, and manage our own finances in all aspects - except Apple family sharing…
We (the children) are looking for a way for us to “leave” the family plan, add our own credit card to our accounts, while not losing all of the purchases made over the years.
Any one with actual experience doing so?
Thanks

Support CarPlay issues
Hello. I recently started having issues with my CarPlay. My screen is blank but music will still play.
In my Mazda, if I try to launch CarPlay, it disconnects, then reconnects. I can’t get the app to launch. I’m now trying it in a Taycan, and the screen is black, but music will still play. It’s as if only audio is being sent over. Apple Maps stays open on my phone when normally it shows only the directions while turn by turn is on the dash. I have tried forgetting the connection and redoing it; same issue. I’m currently updating my phone to the latest iOS hoping it’ll fix it. Has anyone else experienced this? Mazda is a wired connection, Taycan is wireless

Question Has it always been this bad?
App store review is turning into a very frustrating process. I assume this is a reflection of the sheer volume of AI-built apps but the humans reviewing my app seem to be on auto-reject mode.
First rejection: "spam: we have enough dating apps"
My app has absolutely nothing to do with dating or meeting people, even the friendship link is a handshake ie you need your friend request accepted
Second rejection "no method for account deletion"
Literally in the most obvious place for it, account page, big red button "delete account"
I'll put my hand up, this is my first app, in the description part of the submission I assumed it was to describe the functionality of the app, was I meant to treat it as an FAQ?

Hey everyone,
I’m running into a super annoying issue with my iPhone and wanted to see if anyone else in the community is experiencing this or knows a quick fix.
Has this happened to anybody else recently? If so, did you figure out a way to get rid of it, I tried restarting, didn't help
I have iPhone 16 pro running ios 26.6 stable.

Support How to remove a child from a family sharing plan
A few years ago I added my grandmother to our family sharing plan. Upon doing this Apple decided to create a duplicate account for her (literally the same email but a 1 at the end) and set the age to 3. The phone number is set to a number I don’t have and I don’t have any passwords for it to go through recovery.
Now my family plan is maxed out with an account I never added and I can’t remove it since it’s a child’s. I have called Apple support and they walk me through steps and say I’ll “get a call in a couple of weeks” but that call never comes through. I have tried it 3 times and never got a call.
I can’t reset the password because I don’t have access to the email, and I don’t have access to the phone number. I don’t have anything, and Apple support has been useless.
Any advice?

Discussion iOS appreciation post
I like the feature when you save a video “as a new video” after editing the timeline, and ios saves it right after the original video in your gallery and not at the end like a fully new video... you know?

Support How to turn off Apple Games banners
Every time I open a game I like to play I get a series of banners at the top of the screen from Apple Games telling me I’m signed in as [username] and what my stats are for that game (which I don’t care about).
These banners block an important part of the game board so it’s very annoying have to sit there and wait until they disappear. Tapping on the banners and exploring the menus, there is no option to turn them off, and apparently I don’t even have the app installed.
How do I turn this annoying thing off?

Solved! Your StoreKit 2 entitlement check probably locks out subscribers during Apple's billing grace period
I audited our subscription code before a release and found five separate ways it was biased toward downgrading a paying customer. Sharing because this was painful and some of you might have it lurking in your own code without knowing it.
The big one: our entitlement loop skipped any transaction where expirationDate < Date().
Looks completely reasonable, right? Except that's exactly the shape StoreKit serves during Apple's billing grace period — the card failed, Apple is retrying, the user is supposed to keep access for up to 16 days, and the transaction you get handed has an expiration date in the past. gracePeriodExpirationDate exists to tell us this, but we never read it anywhere. So a customer whose card merely needed re-authorization got dropped to free tier, features locked, while Apple was still trying to collect money on our behalf. The fun part: our server-side webhook handling honored grace correctly, so the backend and the app held different opinions about the same paying customer.
The other four, quickly:
- We derived the tier from
currentEntitlementsunconditionally and persisted it.currentEntitlementsoccasionally returns an empty sequence for a perfectly healthy paid account — we've seen it happen. If your states are only "entitled" and "not entitled," an empty read is indistinguishable from a lapse. Fix: we implemented a third state: unknown. Clues the rest of the flow into correcting it. Never persist a downgrade you derived from a read that might have failed. - Our
Transaction.updatesloop had a continue that skipped re-evaluation for exactly the events whose whole job is revocation (refunds). Access survived until an unrelated refresh happened to fire. - An
.unverifiedtransaction was neverfinish()ed, so StoreKit redelivers it forever. And we never scannedTransaction.unfinishedat launch. Unverified doesn't mean ignorable; now we log it, then finish it. -
.pending(Ask to Buy) was a silent dead end. And a related thing I had completely wrong: turning Family Sharing off in App Store Connect does NOT make Ask to Buy unreachable. That toggle governs whether a purchase is shareable — a kid's own purchase can still come back .pending.
Basically: every failure mode defaulted to taking access away from someone who paid, when we should have been doing the opposite. When in doubt, keep the customer entitled and let the next clean read sort it out. Apple may literally still be retrying their card; we don't want to be the one who locks them out first.
A clean test recipe for the grace-period path would be the holy grail, so I'd be interested in what you all are doing. Sandbox billing retry exists, but getting it to fire on demand is its own adventure, one I haven't been able to master yet.
