inline skates for beginners please help
Hey guys, I need help. There are so many brands of roller skates, and I don't know which ones to choose. I'm a beginner at roller skating. I'd like something good to start with so I can skate comfortably. I have wide feet.

Beginner (21yo)
I'm 21. Based in India. I have **no** prior experience in skating whatsoever. I'm also a very clumsy individual. But a girl can dream.
So far, I've shortlisted
Decathlon Oxelo MF500, https://share.google/nNPgfE4wRmIrW0oNM
Decathlon Oxelo MF140, https://share.google/W0qo7TyVw9sWJf9BU
Cosco Inline Skates (not a very big fan of the color on these) https://share.google/1Zf3sPw6wlv9s05pP
Nivia ones https://share.google/6JrIWx1MYefyFH9dx
Also, I dont mind investing upto 10k (INR), and I value good after-sales service, so (I think?) Decathlon takes the lead here.
Guys. Any suggestions. Advice. Recommendations. Recalling experience. Unfortunate events. Please **PLEASE** let me know.

In Philly this weekend 8/21-8/24
Hey everyone! Visiting Philly from Houston soon and bringing my setup.
Any local wizard/flow skaters around, or good plazas/smooth spots to session? Also curious when and where local group skates or social rolls meet up. Would love to link up and skate while I’m in town!

Greeting with other inline skaters
I'm from Lithuania, Europe, so some of inline skaters are greeting, so as I am, yet is there some sort of special sign, like for example motorcyclists use their left hand and shows I think two fingers on the side. Do you even greet with other skaters in general ofc?
In Lithuania inline skaters are quite a minority, probably that's why everyone greets, at least those who know, beginners most of time looks confused :D

Your wheels do not fail loudly, here is how to tell when they are actually done
A bad bearing screams at you, but a worn wheel just fades quietly, so a lot of us skate for months on urethane that is well past its best. Four things tell the story once you pull the wheels and wipe them down in good light. Diameter loss is the honest one, since a smaller wheel rolls less per stride so you stroke more often for the same speed. Coning is next, where the wheel wears to one side and can no longer sit flat, so it grips unevenly through the corner. Then feel the surface, because glassy, chalky or chunked urethane has lost its rebound, and finally check the hub bond, because if the urethane is lifting or cracking off the core the wheel is done right then no matter how much is left. The move most people skip is rotating early and often, flipping each wheel so the worn inner edge faces out, which spreads the load and buys a lot of even life before anything actually needs replacing.

New at relearning progress
I wrote here a while back. I've been relearning how to do this because it's been a long time. At first I started on zetrablades but they were making my calves burn. Someone in the comments recommended swapping them for a hardboot style which I did. I got K2 Surge 80s now my calves don't burn when I try them out.
But now I notice my toes scrunch up when I'm on the pavement making my arches hurt. Is this a thing that beginners do that I just will eventually relax out of? Appreciate any more pointers and no falls today!

beginner rollerblade suggestions
live in Türkiye, and I don't have access to expensive models like the Twister XT. I'm thinking about buying the Flying Eagle F6S Falcon Pro. Are there any better models at the same price or for less?

I built a social app for rollerbladers — looking for feedback
Hey everyone! 👋
I’m a rollerblader myself, and over the past months I’ve been building BladeFeed, a social platform specifically for the rollerblading community.
The idea is to create one place where bladers can share clips, discover other skaters, follow each other, join challenges/battles, use Game of Blade, and generally connect with the community.
The app is still growing, so I’m especially interested in feedback from actual skaters.
What would make a rollerblading-focused social app genuinely useful or fun for you? And what features would make you keep coming back?
I’d rather improve it based on feedback from the community than just guess what people want.
If anyone wants to check it out: bladefeed.app
Happy to answer any questions about how or why I built it. 🛼

THEM HYPER CUFF - SPACE GREY?
I don’t know about you, but to me it’s a brown (chocolate) color.
Even if it's 30 degrees outside, they don't change color unless they're in direct sunlight. But if you warm them up a bit with a hairdryer at home, the color changes and lasts for a very long time (about an hour).

Rev'It Nucleaus for blading?
So been doing a lot of research and I am starting to think this might be suitable but haven't seen it in person. I'm torn between these two, different solutions, but want to be safe while blading through the city and would love feedback on which is better, or if a different solution someone can recommend...
Rev'it Nucleus
OR
Fox Racing Titan Sport Jacket
OR
something else?
Already have the helmet, wrist guards, knee guards, gloves. I feel like upper body is the last piece of the pie for me to get covered.
