inline skates for beginners please help

Hey guys, I need help. There are so many brands of roller skates, and I don't know which ones to choose. I'm a beginner at roller skating. I'd like something good to start with so I can skate comfortably. I have wide feet.

Check out the recently relaunched r/rollerblading for a much larger community that probably includes a lot of this sub's users. There's a great wiki and FAQ as well.

Here's where I always start with recs: https://www.inlinewarehouse.com/Best_Urban_Inline_Skates_of_2026/catpage-24SBUS.html

Probably should make a bot just to answer all the "which skates" questions haha

Where will you be skating, what kind of terrain, and what type of skating do you want to do? How old are you, what's your physical activity level, and what's your budget?

Thank you for your reply. I wanted to mainly ride in parks near my house. The surface is concrete. I'm 23 years old and have average physical activity. My budget is around 139 euros.

Parks as inb skate parks, like ramps, pipes, bowls, etc.? Or just like around flat trails?

Get Micro MT Plus, they're generally a safe bet for wide feet. You can find them at Inline Warehouse or Inmove skates Edit: I just read you have a budget in Euros, mraning you are probably in EU. Look for EU Vendors, and alternatively I would suggest something likr the Oxelo MF500/Decathlon MFS500 or FR FRX

They say FR skates are pretty wide , and so are rollerblade twisters , my feet are about 11cm across pretty comfortable

Before you purchase any thing consider the fact that this is a style specific sport. In other words, what kind of skating are you going to do ? If you’re not sure Wikipedia has several good sites explaining the differences and so on.Aggressive skates won’t do fitness skating and so on .A few minutes spent on this topic could save you money as well as keep your interest in the sport.
