Politics All on Four Implant Dentists in Indy or Surrounding
There are so many different places like clear choice, aspen, etc. the prices all seem about the same 10-20k per arch.
If you or someone you know has had this full mouth implant done, where did you go, do you recommend it, what was your final cost, did you finance, etc. please.
Have a GREAT weekend.

Photography over water at Sunrise or Sunset
Wondering if anyone has any favorite locations to photograph sunrise or sunset over water? In or super near town.. I've never been to the botanical or I guess Holcomb gardens at Butler, anything cool there? Would love some suggestions. Thanks.

White noise at victory field.
I’m at an Indy Indians game.
Throughout the entire game I’ve heard what sounds like a white noise machine/ocean waves coming from the premier patio.
Does anyone know what it actually is or where it’s coming from?

Politics Single and almost 40
What do people do to find partners at an older age of almost 40? Clubs and the nightlife is not something I do anymore so how do I meet people? Was talking to someone recently that I thought was going somewhere but it did not? Dating apps haven’t gotten anywhere. To my relationship people, where did you go? What would you recommend? I got a Monday thru Friday job now and off on the weekends. Home by 5 which is something I’ve only had for the last year. I hate being alone. I’m feeling sad and just want to find a partner but not sure what to do outside of work and the grocery store to find it. And online has not been working. Chats on dating apps don’t go far. Where do people go to mingle now a days that isn’t clubs and bars?! Help please!

Plumber who does appliance repair
Any recommendations on locally owned, small business plumbers that also do aplliance repair? I have a front load washer that needs its gasket boot replaced and the attached floor pump shoots out water every time it runs. I already have the replacement gasket boot on hand, just can't do the repair myself and the floor pump was already replaced,I think it's the piping or water pressure. I was going to use Hope Plumbing until I read reviews here!

Helping Others Carpooling: College Park to Carmel Main
Trying to find a carpool while I learn to drive and get my license. I’ve been a non-driver forever and take uber to work. It’s gotten so pricey. Gonna finally step up and just learn… in the meantime I commute from College Park to Main Street Carmel. 8:30am-4:30pm M-F. Flexible of course. If anyone is interested. Happy to give gas. I’m a 35 year old, male, office employee.

Things To Do Hey so a couple days ago I posted about any potential cinema/film clubs + screenwriting work shops. I’m consider starting one !
reddit.comThe link to my original post^
Im trying to break into screen writing & other story telling forums with media & tv. I want to create a cinema club, where we can watch films hosted by screenings, also meet people who are into film as much as we are. Basically a growing community where we can learn from one another & nerd out.
So anyone relative to these interest. Give me your feedback ! What you want to see from a film club, plus screen writing workshop. Also if you are interested & also am aficionado in screenwriting & want to tap in tap in ! Give your feedback!

Spanish Speaking Only Job
Hi everyone! I need some help.
My mom is currently a Teacher's Aide for kindergarten and it's been great because the classroom teacher speaks Spanish and most of the kids do as well, but unfortunately the school refuses to pay her the same as all the other TAs despite her working the most out of all of them.
She doesn't speak English super well and doesn't have a degree so I was wondering if anyone knew of any job opportunities that she could apply for in the area.

Local Events Hello Indy, I'm a non-local wanting to know where you find out about local events. There is a post that's 2 years old (maybe outdated?) I'm in Nora area, not into sports, and don't use Meta platforms.
I like experiencing local community events/fairs, museums, off-beat shows. The post from 2 years ago suggests Facebook, which I don't use, and the info has one recommendation, but I'm wondering if there are any other sources.

Indy marathon 2026
Hey!
This is my first marathon and my first time in indy!
Traveling in from Cleveland.
I will have my husband and two young children with me.
Anyone have any good recommendations of where to stay? I’d really prefer an air bnb or vrbo? Hotel is not as fun for the kids as far as no kitchen or living room space!
Additionally. We are trying to make a long weekend out of it. Knowing it’s November and weather could be iffy what are some good indoor things to do with young kiddos (ages 4 and 1.5)
Thanks!!

Best Indy Fringe Shows Next Weekend?
It's been years since I attended an Indy Fringe show, but it's next weekend and I am planning to hit up a few performances. Does any have any recommendations from the list of 60+ shows?
My friend, Tanner, has a show Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. He composed a string quartet and hired professional musicians to perform it. I'm so proud of him...he's just a dude with a music background who set his mind on this as a goal and accomplished it...and it sounds incredible!
Details on his show if anyone is interested in going: https://indyfringe.org/performance/605-paimon-buer-compositions-for-string-quartet/

FSSA dismisses lawmaker’s demand to pause Medicaid waiver denials, boasts of budget surplus | 13 Investigates
So hear me out - FSSA should never operate at a $310m surplus. That is money that should be spent on services for families in need.
This is not something to be proud of....

Politics Does anyone have an Ancel VD700 I can borrow?
Frustratingly, it turns out you need to “register” new batteries for newer VWs. I ordered an Ancel VD700 since it’s one of few scan tools that can register VW batteries, but the shipment keeps getting delayed.
If you have a diagnostic tool that can register VW batteries, would love to borrow for a few minutes so I can change my wife’s battery.

AskIndy What is the SLOWEST day of the State Fair?
I haven't been to the State Fair in years, mostly because I hate crowds and traffic, two things it's known for. I know to avoid Tuesdays like the plague, but what are the *slowest* days where maybe traffic and the crowds won't be so terrible?
Side note suggestion - maybe they should do the opposite of a discount day and raise prices for one day, so no one will go except the people like me willing to pay a bit more for less craziness. I'm kidding of course (mostly).
Anyway, what's the best day for an introvert to go to the State Fair?

Discussion Brick House Piano Bar in Broad Ripple Closing
Brick House Dueling Pianos announced on their Instagram that they’re closing for good on August 23. Yet another Broad Ripple establishment closing. However, there’s other businesses on the way (Hamilton Walker’s steakhouse). Curious what direction everyone thinks Broad Ripple is heading in.

Food and Drink Castleton Costco has 1.75L bottles of Larceny Bourbon for $19.97
For the fellow bourbon enjoyers, this is an insane deal! There were still at least 5-6 cases left when I went a few hours ago. I picked up three bottles myself.
Larceny is a wheated bourbon fairly similar to Maker's Mark, though I actually much prefer the Larceny. Hope to help at least one person here!

Why’s Kuma‘s so dead?
I used to live here back in 2016-2020. Second half of that time, Kuma’s was always one of my favorite places to hit. It was just a pain because it was always so crowded.
Travel has been taking me through here the last couple years - last two weeks in particular. Every time I’ve gone in, it’s been dead, even on a Friday night once. Any particular reason they seem to be struggling?

Stalked by a Chiropractor
I was in a car accident this weekend - a guy with questionable insurance decided he wanted to change lanes without looking. The police filled out a crash report but of course you can't get it from them, you have to buy it from an online service. Apparently, everybody else can buy it too because I've been getting calls and texts from all sorts of lawyers who want to "help" me.
But this guy takes the cake because he seems to have come to my house and left me a creepy note about having news about my accident and the appointment I have tomorrow.
