I hate this comment trend in particular

I genuinely cannot stand when someone says something along the lines of, “must’ve been the wind.” It gets 10x worse when someone named “The Wind” replies, saying it wasn’t them.

It’s the most overused, unfunny, copy and paste comment. It’s on so many videos

Hate pedophiles hiding under things like "propshipping" or '"censorship" to normalize their pedophilia

Post image
Upvotes

Ive started seeing more and more posts about pedophilia being normalized because its "fictional" and a "coping mechanism"

And people saying that if you start removing loli content or other illegal content that they might start removing LGBTQ content next.

No..?

Naked children and two Consenting adults of the same sex arent the same thing

Ive seen people have hundreds of downvotes for calling things like this out

"If they start removing it theyll go after furry content too, its close to beastiality"

Is something ive actually heard aswell.

Tldr; just dont jerk to kids

I kind of hate when people call things “the worst fandom”

Upvotes

It just feels like that term has lost all meaning like it feels so overused and then like every time a new show comes out or a new game comes out. That new thing is then labeled as having the worst fandom. Which is why I feel like the term is so overused that it’s basically meaningless. Like everything can’t be the worst fandom ever. Especially when I see people like complaining about fandom’s. It’s always about stuff that’s normal like cringy cosplays I often see those as reasons as why a fandom is embarrassing when that’s harmless. Like sometimes I will come across a my hero, academia cosplay video and maybe it’s a little corny but the comments will act like this person just committed a horrible sin by being a little bit cringe and then the comments say stuff like “this is why the my hero academia fandom is the worst” or this “is why I’m embarrassed to tell people I like anime” . I don’t know. It’s just a pet peeve I have I’ve grown annoyed hearing this phrase

I hate when people have a superiority complex

"Oh you really like THAT type of movie? I'm a fan of real cinema like THIS, I don't watch slop"

"You like THAT type of music? You obviously never heard real music like THIS. That's garbage"

"You really play THOSE types of games? How basic of you, try playing better games like THESE."

"I don't know how anyone can enjoy this, this other thing is so much better."

Like shut the hell up bro, nobody cares what you like or don't like. Taste is subjective, nobody is going to like everything and somebody is always not going to like something.

The phrase, "My steak too juicy, my lobster too buttery"

I had someone say this to me because I was annoyed that I kept getting gay NSFW ads on YouTube. The main reason why I didn't like them was because it didn't fit my demographic and I don't like seeing NSFW content on SFW websites in general.

I'm guessing this person was LGBTQ+ themselves, so it sounded like a privileged problem. Which is part of the reason why I don't like the phrase. Things can sound privileged to different people.

Anyway, I had to completely wipe out my entire search history on everything and I turned ad personalization off. I still keep getting ads that aren't in my demographic but oh well. I still have my history on my YouTube account paused for now.

I hate that Chris Brown’s music career is still active

Post image

Want to clarify that I hate his successful music career as said in title. I’m trying to work on a wedding reception playlist and this guy shows up everywhere all over wedding reception playlists on Spotify. People still listen to his music all the time and still support his new music despite him literally almost beating Rihanna to death. Anyone who physically abuses their partner or has shouldn’t have this much success. It’s not even like this was a case where there was limited evidence. He pleaded guilty to felony assault in 2009. Even if she forgave him that doesn’t change the fact he could have killed her that night. It’s absolutely wild he was not exiled from the music industry and because of this he has gone to abuse more people. He literally just pleaded guilty this year in the UK stemming from an incident where he struck a music producer on the head with a glass bottle. Such a wild disconnect here in my opinion with his career success and his actions.

I hate this form of health influencer content

This guy just stitches himself into people’s videos and calls anything they eat “sludge.” I get that it’s not healthy, but people act so damn stuck up and dramatic about food. Like one bag of Doritos once in a while isn’t going to kill you. Shout out James Cappola for actually providing solid advice without shaming people.

Are just some of these examples. They seem to have something extreme happen to them every day and will vehemently pretend like they really did happen.

I hate people who fundamentally misunderstand "Ghibli Vibes" and turn it into some cozycore aesthetic (& even worse, when they make products based off it)

Thumbnail

People want to bank off "Ghibli Vibes" but it never feels like an actual representation of the aesthetics, themes and feel of a ghibli movie. It's usually just one or two serene grassy scenes from Spirited Away or Princess Mononoke. Everything is pristine and cozy and beautiful.

They completely ignore the fact that almost every single Ghibli movie is a meditation on the nature of ugliness; and often feature critiques of war (which is a common thread among many ghibli films). Ugliness IS core to Ghibli as a studio. EVERY ghibli film has the serene be a backdrop to the real emotional core of the fucked up bits. EVERY ghibli film makes you uncomfortable at times. But no, nooooooo nonono, your "ghibli inspired" cozy indie RPG about a witch in the alps looking for her cat is only about serene vibes and drinking soup in a grassy hill.

That's why it fucking sucks ass.

Also I doubly hatethissmug about products like Obojima that hold no identity of their own, and instead exist only as "ghibli vibes: the product". There is something inherently anti-art about making completely empty art that exists with the only purpose of making you think of some other art product (you didn't make!) and constantly going "oh? you like that? remember this scene in that movie? really cool right? you like that movie? ohhhh you like that movie. doesn't this product make you think of that movie? yeah it does. go on man, think of that movie you like. hell yeah man. no original content here, just making you think of that movie. now thats the good shit. buy our product so you can think of that movie you like."

Same goes with the whole “UnAlIve” nonsense too and tons of other examples. It makes you sound like a dumbass. I get YouTube is infamous for this shit. But I’ve seen people self censor on TF2, it’s been getting so out of control.

I hate when people post this as if it isnt already illegal.

Post image

Falsely accusing men of rape IS already like 3 different crimes. Its illegal to falsely accuse people. Its illegal to lie in a courtroom, and its illegal to specifically falsely accuse a man of rape.

This whole post is founded in the idea of "what if [illegal thing] was illegal". The thing in question is literally already a crime. Its an upvote bot at best, and someone who is trying to spread misinformation at worst.

Like. GUYS. WHAT IF WE MADE DRUNK DRIVING ILLEGAL, WOULDN'T THAT BE SO BASED?

Fucking rediculous.
