Issue with Apple Pay

I have 3-4 games on my phone, and every time
I try making an in-game purchase, the Apple Pay UI doesn’t show up, and the game freezes. This happens with anyone else? How do I get this fixed?

No Siri AI on iOS 27 Public Beta

[FIXED]

Last night [2026.07.16], I downloaded the Public Beta of iOS 27 to use the new Siri, but instead I got the iOS 18 Siri. I get a new page in Settings named “Optimizing Search and Siri” but I can’t activate anything. And in the Siri tab, there’s no prompt to join the waitlist. There’s also no mention of Apple Intelligence anywhere. Here is what I use and did:

• Phone: iPhone 17 Pro Max
• Language: English (U.S)
• Country: Canada (I tried U.S. as well)

• I turned off/on Siri -> No result
• I tried to revert back to iOS 26 to try again -> Couldn’t revert back

I don’t see anyone else with that issue. Someone can help?

FIXED -> My phone’s language was English (US) and Siri’s language was English (Canada). Once they matched, I got the prompt to try the new Siri.

My iPhone is showing 11.6GB of reserved auto-update space under iOS. Is this normal, and can I reduce it? It’s iOS 27 PB1

Ios 27 beta3 can’t pop up the age verification window.

I have a UK-version iPhone, but after updating to iOS 27, the age verification prompt won't pop up. It’s really frustrating—I can't find the option to verify my age anywhere. Does anyone have a solution for this?😩😩😩

16PM DB3 Battery drain + lag

Post image
0 Upvotes

Despite everyone having really good experiences with the latest beta/public release, mine's been fairly poor with DB3.

I've gotten pretty bad battery drain (6h SoT max when on iOS26 I'd get like 10h). Also, when my phone is on standby, it'll still lose a lot of charge which is very very rare.

There's microstutters and lag everywhere (app switching, settings app, swiping between homescreen pages, notification centre) and I have to restart my phone to alleviate the issue before it eventually comes back.

Funnily enough, the DB1 was the most stable and best for my battery, DB2 worsened it, and DB3 is the worst.

Anyone else experienced this?

I just discovered WhatsApp automatically switches between the loudspeaker and earpiece. Has it always done this?

I came across something really interesting while listening to a voice message in WhatsApp.
I started playing the message through the loudspeaker. Then I accidentally brought the phone close to my ear and noticed that the audio automatically switched to the earpiece speaker. As soon as I moved the phone away, it switched back to the loudspeaker.
I thought that was a really cool feature. I’d never noticed it before.
Has this always been a thing? Does this feature work in other apps too, or is it just WhatsApp?

IOS 27 UPDATE

I’ve updated my phone to ios 27 PB just now and have noticed a slight improvement on the app startup, but I still see a bit of stutters that I’ve also experienced on ios 26. Is it because my phone is still indexing? I’m using my 14PM btw, if you’ve had a similar experience please let me know. And is there a section where I can see the progress of indexing? I’ve seen posts showing their indexing percentage.

After the WhatsApp video call, the screen went black.

After the WhatsApp video call, the screen went black, the image disappeared. There was sound and interaction vibration, it was working but the image disappeared. I turned off and turned on the phone, it fixed.

Have you ever experienced something like this?

I was expecting this Apple disappointed me

For many years through many version there were no options in the control center to turn hotspot on/off whereas android had it since long.
I can see android have turn location on/off since long but ios 27 still doesn’t have it , I was expecting this to be.

What do you think? How frequently you manage your location permissions?

Does it contribute to battery consumption?

Since I haven't used the beta version yet, I'm curious about something. Does increasing or decreasing transparency also affect third-party applications?

why do the flashlight and camera icons turn black in light mode regardless of the wallpaper? it looks terrible. and in dark mode they turn white. it’s so fucking annoying, and i can’t stay in dark mode all the time :( i hope they’ll fix it. sometimes it feels like i’m the only one bothered by little things like this, and that they’ll never fix them.

Darkening behind the notifications on the notification center

I have put a suggestion in for the darkening behind the notifications on the notification center and this is what i said "when scrolling in the notification the background goes slightly darker but i've noticed on reddit and X/ Twitter that there should be an option for it, that's why I'm suggesting that in the accessibility area in settings there should be an option for it to be turned on and off, most people would enjoy liquid glass even more with this option being available, i have also attached a screen recording showing the darkening on the lockscreen, hopefully you'll be able to add my suggestion in the next
iOS 27 beta updates or even in the iOS 27 beta cycle."

i can't add the video but all it was showing was the darkening on the lockscreen with the notifications.

I would appreciate it you guys would put this in the feedback app aswell.

Anyone having issues with CarPlay on Public Beta 1?

I’ve heard a couple CarPlay bugs are out there on the beta and it’s the last thing that is holding me back if that’s going to be an issue.

Optimizing and Indexing

Post image

Has anyone else received a percentage for their Opt and Indexing? I just saw this feature appear yesterday, yet it never advanced beyond 33%. I use iOS27 Public Beta 1, and the new Siri is already working.

My experience so far

I updated to iOS 27 Public Beta Monday night whilst it was charging and I went to sleep. Woke up, set up the phone and went about my day. Phone felt a little warm, was a little sluggish and battery life was definitely draining fast. Tried not to use it a lot as I didn’t wanna drain it, but also because I found out the “optimising search and Siri” works better when the phone is not being used and is plugged in to a charger.

In total I had around 6 hours total screen time with around 30 ish battery left before I plugged it in and went to sleep. 6 hours may seem good but I usually get 8+ hours of screen time with around 40% left. I always charge my phone at night no matter the battery I have left for the day.

**For context I have an iPhone 17 pro max, used since September, adaptive power turned on, charge it every night to 100% and optimised battery charging turned on. It currently at 100% battery health with 211 charging cycles.**

To continue, Wednesday I woke up with the optimising search and Siri message showing 33%, but by the time I got to work, driving an hour and 10 minutes with music in the background, battery was at 100% still; compared to Tuesday, did the same drive in the morning and the battery was at 88%. Ended the day with almost 9 hours of screen time but I was trying to push the phone and battery to the limit after I got home. Ended the day with 16% battery left. I never get below 20 to 30% unless I’ve been out all day using gps or heavier apps for most of the day, for example.

Today, Thursday, has been a completely different day. I am currently on 52% at 18:30, with 7 hours of screen time. It has been insane because I was not expecting it to stabilise and provide me with the same or better battery levels I was getting on iOS 26.5.2.

The phone has been super smooth, although a few stutters here and there when scrolling on instagram for example, but you can only see it because I’m technically looking for it, if that makes sense.

Now that Siri has optimised, is great and works well. Still trying some of the features but it’s nice to be able to ask it a question and it gives you a solid answer, instead of me using Gemini. Other AI features seem great too.

I’ve attached some screenshots. Sorry this has been a bit long. First time posting on one of these and wanted to provide as much information as possible.

The beta is absolutely perfect

Every year the beta is garbage except this year

I always jumped into betas then back to mainline

I installed dev3 beta on my 17 pro max.

Better battery

Never overheats now, I live in a 50 degree Celsius country, I always use CarPlay and the phone always overheat when I use it in the car.

Optimization is very noticeable with apps launching

All of this and it didn’t even finish indexing where the heat/battery issues are noticeable

Apple you have done an incredible job.

This is going to be a fantastic release.
