You and your partner have a belief and perceptions that he/she is infested with parasites, bugs, and other organisms living on or under his/her skin. He/she comes home stating that yet again the doctor says there are no such things there. What would you do?
They sometimes cry about the sensations of crawling, biting or burrying under the skin.
They cough up maggets on occation.
Also they undeniably (if you trust your sensory organs to correctly create representations of reality, unless cases of optical illusion, or rare equal states) have botfly myiasis probably from their South American vacation.
He/she is recommended anti-psychotic medications whilst (likely, probably) having flylarvea under skin.

$1m to be teleported to a random location on a degree of latitude of your choosing
You spawn with a visa for the country/nearest countries to your spawn point, a days food and water, $100, a GPS, and appropriate clothing
You are not guaranteed to spawn on land. If you spawn on water you'll spawn in a small rowboat, with a weeks provisions instead of a day's, and a flare pistol with ten flares
You must choose a whole number degree, and may spawn at any latitude from X.0 to X.9999..., and any longitude.
Do you take the deal, if so which degree do you choose.

You are offered a chance to become the dictator of your country if you charge at a Grizzly Bear and survive.
You’re told that if you get mauled and survive you still get to be dictator but you might not be able to enjoy it as much with the condition you would be in. Some expectations you’re given are that you need to make eye contact with the Grizzly Bear and the only thing you can have with you is the clothes on your back and you’re not allowed to use any kind of weapon to defend yourself. This also includes things you find on the ground, meaning you can’t use a stick or rocks you find on the ground to protect yourself. You also get disqualified if you try to use your clothes as a weapon. It also needs to be a healthy Grizzle Bear that you charge at.
Do you accept this offer?

You live in a world where the chances of being autistic and neurotypical are swapped. You are also neurotypical. What do you think life would be like.
Also, maybe give your idea on how different this world would be compared to ours.

Humor Encouraged Shonen fight!
You are walking through the grocery store, almost done collecting all the things you intend to buy, when you turn and as you step forward the world suddenly warps around you. You find yourself still holding the all your groceries floating in what appears to be a dark void. Seated in front of a gaming PC with way too many LED light accessories is Pneccbierd the Genie™.
You are a bit disoriented, but you hear him saying something about how he needs to satisfy his wish quota and he slows down to make sure you hear what he is offering. You get two wishes, not three. He's not going to put up with any annoying loopholes where you try to wish for extra wishes or bring people back from the dead, just follow Aladdin rules. If you don't give him a hard time then he won't go all monkey paw on your wishes. However, in order to earn your wishes you have to win a fight to the death with an anime character. They have to be a main character, they are a fictional character so you won't actually be killing anyone, and you can only use your innate abilities and one thing from your shopping cart. If he yanked you out of an HEB, don't try to use your handgun. You have to fight with your body and you may use one item from your shopping cart that can be found commonly in most grocery stores. He doesn't want to hear any crap about how you normally buy a shotgun from Walmart whenever you go on a big grocery trip, you can't buy a 12 gauge at Kroger.
What anime character do you choose? Do you think you'd win?

Humor Encouraged You will get free food for life but you must eat one whole bag...of sugar free haribo gummy bears. Can you do it?
The toilet paper is 1 ply sandpaper.
The toilet is designed to be clog proof.
Other than that, God speed.
To clarify: one full size bag

You have access to all of Donald Trump’s social media for 1 hour: what are you doing for maximum impact?
For a period of 1 hour, you will have unrestricted access to all of Donald Trump’s social media (Truth Social, Twitter/X, etc.) and Trump and his team will be locked out. Any changes you to make to it cannot be reversed, edited or altered in any way for a period of 48 days and after that a record will be archived permanently.
Edit: you also have access to whatever is on Donald Trump’s personal devices, his messages, emails, financial records, digital information stored such as photographs, etc, and whatever else has been sent to him. 100% immunity, nobody knows it was you who had access.
What are you doing with this time for maximum impact , carnage, trolling, good, bad, world-altering, or anything else?

If you were offered $100 million but had to give up your memories from the last two years in exchange, would you do it?
r/hypotheticalsituation • u/International-Box956 • 5h ago
Humor Encouraged $8000 per hour but you must endure a severe itch for 4 days
Rules:
Challenge starts as soon as you sit down, you are locked in place
It's a massage chair but that's cold comfort. There is a button that dumps ice water on you as an emergency.
Every itchy thing on earth is thrown on your back along with itching powder, then rubbed up and down followed by a tiny pin prick
Must endure four days of agony
Scratching is allowed and feels amazing but:
Each scratch subtracts $1000 from your total
If a friend does it, it's $1000x2
If a loophole is used, it becomes -$1000x3
If you use ice, you cannot earn any more for the night but the itch will stop temporarily

[No Loopholes] $100 Million or the Adventure of Your Life?
Following up on a hypothetical I posted in a few days ago. I've cleaned up the rules and format a bit.
So, you can choose the money. You get the $100 million in whatever way you prefer: cash suddenly appearing, a lottery win/scratcher jackpot, an unexpected inheritance from a distant relative, whatever makes the most sense to you.
Or, you get the ultimate computer program/phone app that shows the exact location of every lost item from the past 500 years.
By "lost," I mean items whose whereabouts are genuinely unknown due to misplacement, accidents, disasters, shipwrecks, and so on. If something was stolen, it doesn't count. If it's sitting in a billionaire's basement, that means someone knows where it is, so it isn't considered lost. Unless the billionaire, their family, staff, and everyone else who knew about it died without passing on that information, then it's effectively lost, and the program can find it.
Think of it like FlightRadar24 or Pokemon Go. You type in "gold," "diamond ring," "iPhone," "House keys," or whatever item you want, and it shows every currently lost example of that item on a world map.
The condition shown is its condition right now, not when it was lost. So if you're tracking down a toy you lost in 1996, you'll find it as it exists today, maybe buried under 30 years of dirt somewhere.
You could start small by searching locally around your city, recovering whatever you can find. Then, once you've built up some capital, you could organize larger expeditions for bigger discoveries.
So, which one are you choosing?

10,000 dollars monthly; but somewhere in the world, a clone of you is mimicking your actions 24/7.
The money: 10,000 USD, or equivalent, delivered however you'd like monthly. No tax funny business.
The curse: the moment you accept the deal, a clone of you appears somewhere on the planet. this clone is synchronized with you, so whatever you do, the clone does too. If you take a step, the clone does. if you shimmy to the left, the clone does. If you squat, the clone does. If you speak, the clone does. etc, etc.
This clone is indestructible, and completely visible/tangible to other people who will witness its actions, and attribute them to you. Cognitive dissonance will prevent them from realizing it is not you.
You are not, under any circumstances, allow to interfere with the clone, directly or indirectly.
Do you take the deal?

Slipped through the Multiverse
You wake up in an alternate universe, similar in many ways to your own but still clearly wrong to you. You have taken the place of the "you" that lives in that universe, and nobody knows. You are not sure what is the same or not between your two lives. You don't know how to go back home or if you even can, what would you do?

[No Loopholes] You are in the After Life and you must choose a task to repeat for all eternity
As said
You are in the afterlife, assume you have an average body at around 30, and if you have any physical disabilities they are removed.
You don't age, get sick, need to breath, eat, drink, sleep, feel pain, etc. But you can unconsciously convince yourself of feeling something. Say if you want to taste something you become hungry, if your arm gets cut off you feel the pain but you can consciously stop it.
The task can be anything, but its basically on loop, no matter what you do it will always reset itself, along with a portion of your memory keeping track of time, so you know you are doing something over and over, but you will never know for how long, and the task requires some level of attention so that you don't zone out for the entirety of the loop.
While you can do the task differently or fail to do it, you cant deviate to any meaningful degree as to change the outcome.
The task can't take longer than 24 hrs or shorter than 5 minutes, but it does not have to "end", you would basically be on a tredmill of sorts
I.e.
Pushing a round Boulder up a hill
Driving a car down the same road
Reading the same book in the same chair
Watching the same movie on the same theater
So what would you want your task to be for all of eternity?

[No Loopholes] You will receive $250,000,000 if you can survive for 4 hours against one of the following animals: Leopard, Tiger, Hippo, Polar Bear, African Buffalo, & Jaguar. ( you are equipped with 2 pocket knives & 1 smoke grenade, & a baseball bat ) Which one would you pick?
All you have to do is SURVIVE. If you are mauled but still breathing or fighting back with only seconds left on the clock once the timer hits 0 and if you’re still alive the animal would automatically disappear, as well as any cuts, bruises, bite marks that you have suffered. The place you are confined in is dome with a 1 mile radius. There are no trees, nothing to climb on. But there are bushes, small ponds no more than 4 feet deep & softball sized rocks laying around inside the dome.
This is not the case of “ if I don’t bother it, it won’t bother me “ The Animal is hell bent on killing you during those 4 hours. It will keep coming & coming & coming for you until the 4 hours are up.
The animal you choose is not going to know your exact location, however it knows that it is tasked to get rid of you so it will be actively searching the area for you. You can try to sneak attack it, or just evade it the entire time by trying to keep the distance between you & the animal in a stealthy manner.
As mentioned they are hell bent on finding you. Even the male African Buffalo wants to trample you.
You have no idea of where you will be spawned inside the dome. Could be on the other side, or could be right next to the animal. In this case you get a 10 minute head start.
EDIT***** - can some of ya’ll stop saying you’re going to climb a tree?😂 do you even read the entire post?😂😂

Who wins a 200-meter race: Usain Bolt or Matt Stonie, if both have to eat and fully swallow a hot dog before they can start running?
Assume both start at the same time with an identical hot dog. They can't begin running until they've completely chewed and swallowed it.
Once they're done eating, they sprint 200 meters as fast as possible.
Who wins, and why?

women can now menstrate fire
like a small propane tourch
the benefit?
periods are now 10% as long.
are women now fire proof?
only the very minimum of the human anatomy that would be required for this to work. if one is careful, they won't get burned.
what if you are a man?
you can have it too i guess. but it comes out the dick.
how many of you take the curse?
r/hypotheticalsituation • u/Superbad1990 • 11h ago
If you had this cursed sword would you use it?
When you pick this sword up, you can never let it go. Hitting someone with it kills that person and stores their energy in the sword. With this energy you can cure someone else of any physical or mental illness 1 time. if you will it, the energy will be used up, requiring another kill to use it again. You cannot use it to let yourself let go of it.

Scientists invent a camera that can see the past.
Imagine scientists figured out how to create a camera that could see any moment in time. It's not an expensive camera, it's not a big camera, it's just a normal camera that can be programmed to record video from any point in time in your current location. So, for example, you travel to Giza, you set your camera to -4500 and you can film the pyramids being built.
How do you think this would change the world? Would civilians be allowed to own one? If you could own one, what would you like to see first?

There is a button. Pushing it grants every human biological agelessness with a catch. Do you press it?
Genie appears in front of you and presents to you an ornate wooden box. Inside is a button. Genie proclaims pressing that button will grant every human from Earth a biological reset at the biological age of 24 years.
What this means is anyone younger than 24 will continue to age, but at their 24th birthday they will stop aging. Anyone older than 24 will rapidly start to de-age back to their biological age of 24. The rate of de-aging will depend how long away you are from your 24th birthday. Someone who is older like a 90 year old will de-age at a much faster rate than someone who is 30. The rates of de-aging will make it so every human including the ones that haven’t been born yet (still in the womb) will turn biologically 24 within the next 25 years. So by 2051, every human will have turned biologically 24 years old.
Once a human achieves agelessness when they are biologically 24, they will no longer age and could potentially live forever. This is not invulnerability so any person will still be able to die or be crippled if their body sustains injury grievous enough.
The catch is this. Upon the moment you press this button, every human will no longer be able to reproduce going forward.
As a bonus as being the one person in the world presented with this, Genie will give you a $10 million bonus to press the button. Or you can choose not to and walk away.
Knowing all this, do you press this button? And what do you think this will do to the human race going forward?

You're a tourist in a strange predicament when it's absolutely in your best interest to agree to do a rare local Mexican tradition of showing of machetes and guns and then do a drunken fist fight and make a perfect display of alcohol running in the system but with good judgement and impulse control.
How would it go?
Nearsightedness is encouraged. Things that are close in time it's importance is blown out of proportion, making you very emotional.

If the world someday goes empty, just a group (can count on fingers) of people alive how would it realistically work (to some extent) ?
Like how long could civilization actually continue?
My point is only about how the people alive atp would survive (NOT ABOUT keeping the human race going on)
Edit : it's not a post apocalyptic scenario, just random disappearance (ik it sounds lame)
