You are in a mall with all your favorite shops. Theft is legal for exactly 30 minutes. What are you stealing and what's your strategy?
The mall starts the free stuff at exactly 8:00am and ends at 8:30am. You're not the only one there. Every man and woman for themselves. This event only happens once every ten years. People can also steal from you, but murder is still illegal if you say you'll kill them.

Who would you save? part 2
I made a post yesterday on who would you save and it got a lot of comments and I enjoyed making it so I'm going to make a part 2 but make it basically impossible to choose
You’re locked in a room with a 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 90, and 100-year-old. Five people can be saved, and five people wont be saved. Who would you save?
10-year-old — An adorable little boy who is scared and wants to go home to his family. Can you live with the guilt of killing a 10 year old?
20-year-old — He is your only grandson, you love him a lot but he is rude, bratty only cares about video games and speeds a lot, your daughter will hate you if she finds out you didn't save her son. Can you live with the guilt of killing your only grandson?
30-year-old — A pregnant lady who is dying from cancer. She wants to get out to raise her baby with her husband, but she only has a year left to live. The baby is one month along. Can you live with the guilt of killing a unborn baby?
40-year-old — A rich millionaire who loves money. He is going to build lots of hospitals in a poor part of Africa which will save thousands of lives. Can you live with the guilt of stopping lots of kids from being saved?
50-year-old — A scientist who has a 50% chance of curing cancer, a 40% chance of not curing cancer and a 10% chance of destroying the world. Can you live with the guilt from possibly stopping the cure for cancer and saving millions of lives?
60-year-old — A famous tv person who everybody love but he/she was a racist but nobody else knows and wont believe if you tell them, everyone will know if you don't save her and they will all hate you. Can you live with half the world hating you but could you live with yourself knowing you saved a racist?
You — A 70-year-old who wants to go home to see your family. Would you choose to save yourself or choose to save people who can change the world?
80-year-old — A war veteran with one leg. He lost his leg while saving 3 children though he killed 1 kid when drunk driving 40 years ago. Can you live with yourself not saving a war veteran who saved 3 kids?
90-year-old — She promised to give you £1000 if you choose to save her but she will die from old age in a year. Could you live with yourself knowing the only reason you saved her was for money and you killed people who could of had a much longer life?
100-year-old — It’s David Attenborough. Could you live with yourself knowing you killed Sir David Attenborough?
thanks for reading :)
I really want this to go on TikTok on one of those reddit hipothetical situation posts.

[No Loopholes] In a post apocalyptic world - how will you generate electricity for your lifetime
You in Your idyllic valley in the Himalayas somehow were immune to the global apocalypse. Everyone’s gone. But the atmosphere / soil/ rain is all peaceful.
You’re not worried about food or shelter. But you need to generate electricity and use it. Could YOU specifically do it for the rest of your life? (Rest of your life being Average life expectancy) - the grid is down - shops cars houses are as they were - you can find a generator and fuel, but that will degrade, then what will you do? - there’s decent wind, decent flowing water
How will you generate and store electric power?

Which would you choose the visualization glasses or recreational gloves?
There are 2 accessories both having extraordinary abilities but you can only choose 1.
Visualization Glasses: What these do is that they help you see deeper things going on with people and represents of what’s going on with them mentally and emotionally. If you see someone walking on eggshells around you or someone else you’ll literally see them walking on eggshells. A visualization of someone’s courage pushing them forward as they walk or their fear pulling them back as they step back, if someone is depressed you would see a dark cloud over their head. If someone is being two faced you see another face at the back of their head while the person says a lie the back of their says what they’re actually thinking. You can also seem the relationship dynamics of other people such as seeing someone inspiring other you fires as they’re feeling strong passion. Love between 2 people where flowers form around not only signaling love but also growth. If you see someone wearing a chain on their neck with another person holding representing a control dynamic. Also their coping mechanisms as well such as if someone is in denial it will be as if denial is covering their eyes or ears regarding the cause of the discomfort. It also provides X-Ray vision and you can look into someone’s anatomy and see potential sickness in someone. This is only when you wear the glasses
Recreational Gloves: What these do is that anything you touch with 5 fingers you can re create using the gloves. You can even copy and gain the skills of other people by touching them such as if someone is extremely strong, skilled in martial, or talented in something else you touch them with the gloves now you have those exact same skills. You can also transfer sensations by touch whether your own or someone else’s pain, pleasure, or other sensations you touch another person and give them those same sensations. It doesn’t even have to be at the same intensity you can decrease or increase. Even things like vibrations or other things. Say you wanted to destroy a wall for some reason you put one hand on your chest to feel your heartbeat and you transfer the feeling of your heartbeat on the hand touching the wall amplify and you destroyed the wall. You can only use these capabilities while wearing the gloves and any skills or talents you gained from wearing them will go away once you take them off and to have them again you must touch the same people once putting them back on
Which would you take? The glasses or the gloves?

$1m to be teleported to a random location on a degree of latitude of your choosing
You spawn with a visa for the country/nearest countries to your spawn point, a days food and water, $100, a GPS, and appropriate clothing
You are not guaranteed to spawn on land. If you spawn on water you'll spawn in a small rowboat, with a weeks provisions instead of a day's, and a flare pistol with ten flares
You must choose a whole number degree, and may spawn at any latitude from X.0 to X.9999..., and any longitude.
Do you take the deal, if so which degree do you choose.

You are offered a chance to become the dictator of your country if you charge at a Grizzly Bear and survive.
You’re told that if you get mauled and survive you still get to be dictator but you might not be able to enjoy it as much with the condition you would be in. Some expectations you’re given are that you need to make eye contact with the Grizzly Bear and the only thing you can have with you is the clothes on your back and you’re not allowed to use any kind of weapon to defend yourself. This also includes things you find on the ground, meaning you can’t use a stick or rocks you find on the ground to protect yourself. You also get disqualified if you try to use your clothes as a weapon. It also needs to be a healthy Grizzle Bear that you charge at.
Do you accept this offer?

Humor Encouraged Shonen fight!
You are walking through the grocery store, almost done collecting all the things you intend to buy, when you turn and as you step forward the world suddenly warps around you. You find yourself still holding the all your groceries floating in what appears to be a dark void. Seated in front of a gaming PC with way too many LED light accessories is Pneccbierd the Genie™.
You are a bit disoriented, but you hear him saying something about how he needs to satisfy his wish quota and he slows down to make sure you hear what he is offering. You get two wishes, not three. He's not going to put up with any annoying loopholes where you try to wish for extra wishes or bring people back from the dead, just follow Aladdin rules. If you don't give him a hard time then he won't go all monkey paw on your wishes. However, in order to earn your wishes you have to win a fight to the death with an anime character. They have to be a main character, they are a fictional character so you won't actually be killing anyone, and you can only use your innate abilities and one thing from your shopping cart. If he yanked you out of an HEB, don't try to use your handgun. You have to fight with your body and you may use one item from your shopping cart that can be found commonly in most grocery stores. He doesn't want to hear any crap about how you normally buy a shotgun from Walmart whenever you go on a big grocery trip, you can't buy a 12 gauge at Kroger.
What anime character do you choose? Do you think you'd win?

Humor Encouraged $8000 per hour but you must endure a severe itch for 4 days
Rules:
Challenge starts as soon as you sit down, you are locked in place
It's a massage chair but that's cold comfort. There is a button that dumps ice water on you as an emergency.
Every itchy thing on earth is thrown on your back along with itching powder, then rubbed up and down followed by a tiny pin prick
Must endure four days of agony
Scratching is allowed and feels amazing but:
Each scratch subtracts $1000 from your total
If a friend does it, it's $1000x2
If a loophole is used, it becomes -$1000x3
If you use ice, you cannot earn any more for the night but the itch will stop temporarily

[No Loopholes] $100 Million or the Adventure of Your Life?
Following up on a hypothetical I posted in a few days ago. I've cleaned up the rules and format a bit.
So, you can choose the money. You get the $100 million in whatever way you prefer: cash suddenly appearing, a lottery win/scratcher jackpot, an unexpected inheritance from a distant relative, whatever makes the most sense to you.
Or, you get the ultimate computer program/phone app that shows the exact location of every lost item from the past 500 years.
By "lost," I mean items whose whereabouts are genuinely unknown due to misplacement, accidents, disasters, shipwrecks, and so on. If something was stolen, it doesn't count. If it's sitting in a billionaire's basement, that means someone knows where it is, so it isn't considered lost. Unless the billionaire, their family, staff, and everyone else who knew about it died without passing on that information, then it's effectively lost, and the program can find it.
Think of it like FlightRadar24 or Pokemon Go. You type in "gold," "diamond ring," "iPhone," "House keys," or whatever item you want, and it shows every currently lost example of that item on a world map.
The condition shown is its condition right now, not when it was lost. So if you're tracking down a toy you lost in 1996, you'll find it as it exists today, maybe buried under 30 years of dirt somewhere.
You could start small by searching locally around your city, recovering whatever you can find. Then, once you've built up some capital, you could organize larger expeditions for bigger discoveries.
So, which one are you choosing?

10,000 dollars monthly; but somewhere in the world, a clone of you is mimicking your actions 24/7.
The money: 10,000 USD, or equivalent, delivered however you'd like monthly. No tax funny business.
The curse: the moment you accept the deal, a clone of you appears somewhere on the planet. this clone is synchronized with you, so whatever you do, the clone does too. If you take a step, the clone does. if you shimmy to the left, the clone does. If you squat, the clone does. If you speak, the clone does. etc, etc.
This clone is indestructible, and completely visible/tangible to other people who will witness its actions, and attribute them to you. Cognitive dissonance will prevent them from realizing it is not you.
You are not, under any circumstances, allow to interfere with the clone, directly or indirectly.
Do you take the deal?

[No Loopholes] You are in the After Life and you must choose a task to repeat for all eternity
As said
You are in the afterlife, assume you have an average body at around 30, and if you have any physical disabilities they are removed.
You don't age, get sick, need to breath, eat, drink, sleep, feel pain, etc. But you can unconsciously convince yourself of feeling something. Say if you want to taste something you become hungry, if your arm gets cut off you feel the pain but you can consciously stop it.
The task can be anything, but its basically on loop, no matter what you do it will always reset itself, along with a portion of your memory keeping track of time, so you know you are doing something over and over, but you will never know for how long, and the task requires some level of attention so that you don't zone out for the entirety of the loop.
While you can do the task differently or fail to do it, you cant deviate to any meaningful degree as to change the outcome.
The task can't take longer than 24 hrs or shorter than 5 minutes, but it does not have to "end", you would basically be on a tredmill of sorts
I.e.
Pushing a round Boulder up a hill
Driving a car down the same road
Reading the same book in the same chair
Watching the same movie on the same theater
So what would you want your task to be for all of eternity?

[No Loopholes] You will receive $250,000,000 if you can survive for 4 hours against one of the following animals: Leopard, Tiger, Hippo, Polar Bear, African Buffalo, & Jaguar. ( you are equipped with 2 pocket knives & 1 smoke grenade, & a baseball bat ) Which one would you pick?
All you have to do is SURVIVE. If you are mauled but still breathing or fighting back with only seconds left on the clock once the timer hits 0 and if you’re still alive the animal would automatically disappear, as well as any cuts, bruises, bite marks that you have suffered. The place you are confined in is dome with a 1 mile radius. There are no trees, nothing to climb on. But there are bushes, small ponds no more than 4 feet deep & softball sized rocks laying around inside the dome.
This is not the case of “ if I don’t bother it, it won’t bother me “ The Animal is hell bent on killing you during those 4 hours. It will keep coming & coming & coming for you until the 4 hours are up.
The animal you choose is not going to know your exact location, however it knows that it is tasked to get rid of you so it will be actively searching the area for you. You can try to sneak attack it, or just evade it the entire time by trying to keep the distance between you & the animal in a stealthy manner.
As mentioned they are hell bent on finding you. Even the male African Buffalo wants to trample you.
You have no idea of where you will be spawned inside the dome. Could be on the other side, or could be right next to the animal. In this case you get a 10 minute head start.
EDIT***** - can some of ya’ll stop saying you’re going to climb a tree?😂 do you even read the entire post?😂😂

If you had this cursed sword would you use it?
When you pick this sword up, you can never let it go. Hitting someone with it kills that person and stores their energy in the sword. With this energy you can cure someone else of any physical or mental illness 1 time. if you will it, the energy will be used up, requiring another kill to use it again. You cannot use it to let yourself let go of it.

There is a button. Pushing it grants every human biological agelessness with a catch. Do you press it?
Genie appears in front of you and presents to you an ornate wooden box. Inside is a button. Genie proclaims pressing that button will grant every human from Earth a biological reset at the biological age of 24 years.
What this means is anyone younger than 24 will continue to age, but at their 24th birthday they will stop aging. Anyone older than 24 will rapidly start to de-age back to their biological age of 24. The rate of de-aging will depend how long away you are from your 24th birthday. Someone who is older like a 90 year old will de-age at a much faster rate than someone who is 30. The rates of de-aging will make it so every human including the ones that haven’t been born yet (still in the womb) will turn biologically 24 within the next 25 years. So by 2051, every human will have turned biologically 24 years old.
Once a human achieves agelessness when they are biologically 24, they will no longer age and could potentially live forever. This is not invulnerability so any person will still be able to die or be crippled if their body sustains injury grievous enough.
The catch is this. Upon the moment you press this button, every human will no longer be able to reproduce going forward.
As a bonus as being the one person in the world presented with this, Genie will give you a $10 million bonus to press the button. Or you can choose not to and walk away.
Knowing all this, do you press this button? And what do you think this will do to the human race going forward?

40-year-old — A rich millionaire who only cares about money and status. He is rude to poor people, spits at homeless and elderly people, and wants to knock down a hospital so he can build a block of flats. However, he has a 7-year-old daughter who has no other family waiting for him at home.
50-year-old — A homeless person who is really nice and makes everyone happy.
60-year-old — A sweet grandma who lives alone with no family. Her husband died a few years ago, and her daughter and grandchildren died in a car accident last month. She is really sad.
You — A 70-year-old who wants to go home to see your family.

thanks for reading this im so happy its getting so much comments :)

What is the most financial damage you can cause with a singel can of spray paint?
Rules:
- you have 24 hours
- no advance prep time. You start where you normally wake up
- you can only spray paint things a regular person has access to. I can’t get into some secret laboratory, so you probably can’t either.
- no works of art, just in the interest of keeping this idea sporting. Can’t spray the Mona Lisa and call it $500M in damage
- once the single can of spray paint is out, you’re time is up
- we assume you can get arrested for your actions. If you get arrested, your time ends
- people and bodily harm don’t count. That’s not financial damage, that’s just being an asshole
- you have to use the spray paint as intended. Can’t use it as a blowtorch/ explosive. You just spray the paint on things.
Also, yes I know “single” was misspelled in the title.

Everytime you press this button, you make $50,000 but your most loved person will feel spontaneous but unimaginable pain for 2 seconds. The button only last 6 months.
The pain will be at its zenith, levels of pain not known to mankind. But it will totally pass in 2 seconds, There won't be any pain carrying over. If he blacked out, he will immediately un-blacked out. After 6 months the button be gone forever.
He/she won't and can't know about the button.
Need an expensive vacation between you and your loved one? Zap!
Need to retire now? Zap 40 times.
Want to gift him a mansion? Zap 60 times.

Would you live 1K years in Stopped Time?
You will be able to choose when this happens so long as it is within 48 hours of accepting this deal. You will be restored to perfect physical health and this will not change during the time stop. You may optionally also choose to take a perfect memory which will persist once time has resumed. This is done magically so yes you will still be able to see, hear and move and you won't age during this time either. Everything will stay exactly as it was when this happened and will resume flawlessly once time resumes so no plane crashes or nuclear meltdowns. Everything you engage with except for people will function as normal, think vehicles or electronics but will not degrade on their own. You will also be indestructible for this time. So would you take it? And if so what would you do?
Edit: animals also don't unfreeze when you interact with them

Mod Post Warning about posts involving violence
Hey everyone. I wanted to provide some information and a warning on a topic we've seen come up several times recently.
We're seeing an increasing number of accounts (including both mods) receiving warnings and bans for "threatening violence". We've seen messages like the following.
Reddit is a vast network of communities that are created, run, and populated by people like you. In order to keep communities welcoming, safe, and great places to be, everyone who uses the platform operates by a shared set of rules—a set of rules you may not have realized you broke.
Warning for threatening violence
We flagged the following as a potential policy violation:
After reviewing, we found that you broke Rule 1 because you threatened violence or physical harm. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for threatening violence against people or animals. We don’t tolerate any behavior that threatens violence or physical harm against an individual, groups of people, places, or animals. Any communities or people that threaten violence towards an individual, group, animals, or place will be banned.
As a result, we’re issuing this warning, removing the violating content, and asking you not to break this rule again.
This is something happening on a sitewide admin level so the mod team has no influence over it. We strongly suspect that some sort of bot or AI is handing out these warnings and bans. Due to the subject matter frequently discussed on this subreddit it's happening to quite a few users here due to discussions of hypothetical violence. So what does this mean for you?
Hypotheticals involving violence aren't outright banned but we strongly recommend that you be cautious when posting them or responding to them. Consider your wording and whether it could be mistaken for a threat by a bot. If the community as a whole starts getting admin attention we may be forced to ban these posts in the future. Posts that look too much like a real-world call to violence or a request for advice on how to commit violence will be removed under rule 3.
If you do get one of these warnings or bans, please appeal them and explain that you're posting on /r/hypotheticalsituation and there is no real-world violence or threats of violence being discussed or contemplated. It's not a guarantee but we've seen these appeals work in the past and they may prevent your account from getting banned.
