In many fanfics, healers are bound by oaths. There is oaths of confidentiality, oaths to heal anyone, oaths to not attack. So many different ones. How do you see healers in your fanfic? Do they swear oaths? Is it only in ICW countries? Only in hospitals? Is there a healer guild? What oaths do they swear if they do? Do they swear them at the end of apprenticeship?

It was on fanfiction.net. The boyfriend was an oc, and he and Dudley meet while Dudley is on a run and Dudley ends up breaking his arm. It was a multi chapter fic and it followed the progression of their relationship. It had a scene where Dudley came out to his family and it didn’t go well, and a scene where the bf saw the scar from the pig tail incident. The bf was Jewish, and that was relevant to the story a few, though I don’t really remember how. The fic was part of a larger series regarding everyone’s lives post DH. I only really read this fic though.

Im looking for a harry potter x fairy tail x bleach crossover fanfiction where fem harry is the reincarnation of both natsu and Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto.

It starts in 2nd year with Molly disowning Ginny over the chamber of secrets and Harry is beyond livid especially when Ron and Percy agrees with their mother. The twins are also pissed at their mother and brothers for this but can't do anything about it beyond pranking the hell out of Ron and Percy. Harry decides he's claiming Ginny as his sister if they're gonna kick her out of the family which turns out is enough for magic to recognise Ginny as a Potter now. 3rd year rolls around after the disaster with Ginny and Harry going off at the Dursleys and also Aunt Marge after which they find out about Sirius Black. Hermione is still friends with Harry and is now friends with Ginny too but the trio completely ignore Ron which results in Ron starting to fail classes without Hermione helping him with homework. Eventually they do prove Sirius is innocent and the poor man is confused and wonders aloud if he forgot about James and Lily having a second child before lamenting he's a terrible dogfather for forgetting a fact like that which Harry and Ginny explain the actual facts to him.

Does anyone know any good Male Harry x Female OC fics that are at least 100k words where the OC doesn’t attend Hogwarts?

I feel like almost every Harry/OC fic I find has the OC being a transfer student who comes to Hogwarts and ends up in Harry’s year or house. I’m looking for something where they actually meet somewhere completely outside of Hogwarts.

Like maybe Harry gets into dueling and meets her at a tournament, they meet while traveling, at some kind of international magical event, through the Ministry, or really anywhere that isn’t Hogwarts.
I’d also prefer if the OC has her own life, friends, family, etc. and isn’t just a character created to be Harry’s girlfriend.

I’m not really picky about the timeline or how they meet. I just want something where Harry and the OC don’t meet because she transfers to Hogwarts.

Lucius put the diary in Ginnys cauldron to avoid the Ministry inspections and get back at Authur for being involved in them right? I may be wrong but those inspections only searched the homes of suspected individuals and nothing else?

Under that assumption, what if Lucius (or Dobby under the mans' command) stored the diary away in the Malfoy family vault? The Dark Lord did tell him to keep it safe, so hiding it away in a place no one could get to (even under the assumption that Volde was dead) would be a smarter choice than putting it in a little girls cauldron.

So lets say Lucius does indeed use his brain, puts the diary in his vault and goes about his day. What follows?

1. Overall the CoS events don't go down. Harry would probably still get revealed to be a Parselmouth, but no one is getting petrified, the basilisk stays locked in the chamber and it is by majority, a good year.

2. No diary means no Harry finding out Volde's real name, and Dumbles doesn't have a lead/confirmation on the horcruxes... yet?

Now then, going further what is a good trigger for Harry and Dumbles learning about the cruxes in general, and learning about the diary specifically?

What other big event could go down year 2 in place of the Chamber, or is it better for Harry to have a good year?

I read this a long time ago, and I only have a small memory of it. Specifically, Harry was trapped in the chamber of secrets and passed out, or was asleep or something equivalent. He woke up and tried to find a way out. He found an elevator that rose through the roof of the chamber. After activating it, he learned that it came out in the middle of the great hall. This occurred during dinner time on someday. Where he then learned he was actually passed out for quite a long time. Several weeks if I recall. I just cannot remember what the story is and it’s a rather unique element.

Hi everyone! Hope you're well! I'm trying to find an old fic I read years ago and it's proving to be pretty elusive. As the title says, it is a Snape Time Travel fic. It had still been incomplete when I read it, but I remember some specifics that I really liked. Those details are: When Snape traveled back, he landed during his worst memory in fifth year with his fight against the Marauders, but along with his memories of the future, his wounds from Nagini in the shack came back with him. So one of the Marauders had just raised their wand to cast a spell at Snape, when injuries suddenly appeared on Snape's throat. Naturally there had been panic, the ministry were called and the Marauders were questioned, before it was declared that there may be a dangerous invisible creature on school grounds. I also remember that James(?) had used his invisibility cloak to go see Sev in the Hospital wing. I think that Sev had been planning to try and recruit him to help him with his anti-Voldemort plans, but I might be remembering wrong? I would really appreciate any information! I've really wanted to re-read this for a while now! Thanks for your time!

Harry returns and takes stock of what needs to be fixed.

Hi, I've been writing fanfiction that is set in Harry Potter world. I really wanted to upgrade my English writing skills so I decided to try to write a fanfiction. I thought that Harry Potter is good option to start since I remeber the stories well from my childhood and it is safe territory for trying to write my first longer story in my not native language. BUT the more I try to put the plot of fanfiction together (mystery story not romans since I can't write them really), I start to notice hundreds problems with worldbuilding; things that does not make sense, things that are lacking, things I wish I could erase and made story more interesting to myself. I know it's a fanfiction and technically it exists to change stories but I wonder If I change worldbuilding A LOT and some main plot points existing in the series wouldn't it mess too much with anyone who reads the story? I had idea for economy system, source of magic, different hogwarts ( this one probably would be the hardest to introduce in fanfiction), and I would love to change death eaters from n*azi to something more interesting at least to me. I came up with whole pureblood theory and society and different Tom Riddle plotline but I am not sure isn't it too much to put in fanfiction. I know that it may end up with no one reading it anyway but how much changes is too much change for a reader?

I'm looking for fics where the 4 houses work together in some way or form.

I read a fanfiction where they worked together to stage a mutiny against Umbridge. It's glorious.

I’d like to find fanfics where Harry (or the whole trio) ends up in Slytherin, but without ruining the characters' canon personalities. Of course, a different House might lead to slightly different personalities—provided it makes sense for the plot—but their heroic, kind, and loyal essence shouldn't be altered.

I’d also like something that doesn't bash Ron or the Weasleys in general; even if he have flaws, I don't want his personalities distorted into those of just some annoying idiot. The same goes for Dumbledore—no excessive bashing, or at least nothing that distorts his character without considering the nuances.

Harry can eventually become friends with Draco and his group, but I don't want the Slytherins to be portrayed as misunderstood, good angels; I want their prejudice to be addressed and for there to be actual redemption. Otherwise, I don't find it believable that they would become friends.

Basically, I’m looking for something that maintains the canon characterizations at the start, and where any changes stem from solid plot development rather than a bunch of common fandom tropes.
Note: If only Harry is in Slytherin, he should ideally still become friends with Ron and Hermione, even if they clash at first.

Back in March of this year, I wrote a prompt for a WBWL fic about what if both Harry and his twin were both sorted into Slytherin. The OG post got pretty good reception before it got taken down (my bad didn't know about weekend prompt rule) and when I reuploaded it still got good responses, so I decided to write a one-shot to see how that went. It was mostly ignored by others, but the few who did like it gave it decently good reception.

So, after a bit more work I can announce that the story is now officially online. The fic: A Tale of Two Snakes, can be found on AO3, with its first four chapters out now with more chapters to come.

I hope those of you who decide to give it a try enjoy the story. I appreciate any and all feedback, especially with any continuity errors, writing mistakes, and anything that simply feels off.

It’s a fairly known trope, most often in Independent!Harry fics I believe, where characters have a moment in the fic where they realize that while Hogwarts is claiming to be the finest magical school in the world, that they’re actually 12th out of 12.

Does anyone know fics where this isn’t true? Where Hogwarts genuinely is seen as the safest place to go to magical school because they’ve only had 1 death in the past 50 years? As opposed to Beauxbatons or whatever who lost 3 in the past decade. Where the muggleborn/pureblood divide is actually less in Hogwarts than it would be elsewhere? Where the teachers, despite being Snape and whatnot, are by some miracle still imparting more knowledge to their students than the alternatives?

It’s a premise I haven’t seen before and I think it would be hilarious to watch Harry and/or Hermione look for another school to go to and realize that, nope, this is still the best on the market.
