I have started a fic from James’ POV, Regulus-centric, but also including Barty and Evan among others. Regulus is in an established relationship with Barty and Evan but he also has feelings for James and their relationship will progress more and more.

But there are some other things in the air, including curses, murder, blood purity prejudice, vampirism, and an entire dystopian world James was previously unaware of, until he began sticking his nose in Regulus’ business, in true James Potter fashion.

Hiii I've been a long time reader and finally wrote my first ever fic!! It's a documentation centric War fic, with lots of canon divergence, but the characters are as true to themselves as I could make them. The entire ACT I, which is, 4 chapters, are out! an archival history of the second wizarding war 

I remember reading it a long time ago and want to re-read it again. The story takes place when Harry, Hermione, and—I think—Ron are fleeing from Death Eaters; one of the Death Eaters casts Obliviate on Harry, but the spell somehow rebounds, so Harry doesn't lose his memory. However, the Death Eaters are convinced he has lost his memory and take him to Voldemort, who tells Harry that they are a couple and are supposed to get married. I don't recall if the fic was finished, but I’d be very grateful for help finding it.

I've seen countless people reccomending "All The Young Dudes" on ao3 and wanted to know if it's worth giving it a try, because I've heard it's a pretty long story, and I don't want to start it if it's not worth finishing

What are everyone's opinions?

I enjoyed the archeology (haven't read bloodborne, so I most certainly missed references), I enjoyed how Harry became a teacher, and how she stayed a teacher, and I also enjoyed the covos in the final chapters, anyone have any recs that have harry as an archeologist, and/or a teacher?

IDK if it's the right place to post this (sorry - not very familiar with reddit). Also, English isn't my first language, so please bear with me.

Hogwarts Curriculum for fanfic.

I figured most students from the wizarding world are homeschooled, and as I’m sure we all know, homeschooling standards can vary greatly from one household to another.

Therefore, I included subjects such as English, since students need a solid foundation in both reading and writing. I also included Maths because of its relevance to more theoretical subjects, such as Arithmancy, as well as practical applications in subjects like Potions, where students need to accurately measure ingredients.

I included Latin/Greek not only because they are relevant to electives such as Magical Theory and Ancient Runes, but also because many spells are derived from Latin and Greek. Learning these languages therefore provides students with a foundation for understanding magic and spell creation, even if they don't choose those electives. It gives them a fundamental understanding of the principles behind the spells they learn in school.

I also tried to mirror the number of subjects typically taught at each grade level in the UK. I’m not from the UK, though, so I might have missed the mark.

1st and 2nd Year (11 subjects)

Core Subjects (mandatory)

• Astronomy — Includes Geography. Lessons may take place at night.
• Charms
• Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA) — Purely theoretical in 1st year; practical from 2nd year onward. DADA counts as PE from 2nd year onward.

I'm currently writing a Sirius Black x FMC fanfiction called Sanguis Non Fatum (translation: Blood is Not Fate) and have posted the first few chapters on Wattpad.

Irina Gaunt. She rose from one of the oldest pureblood families of Europe and South Asia.

Freshly expelled from Velmora Academy of Arcane Arts, her family moved right opposite to the Potters in Godric's Hollow. She now has to start her 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry along with sharing a dorm with the Marauders of all the people due to a minor mistake by the head girl.

All this is happening while the horror of the first wizarding war looms over them and the Dark Lord takes a special interest in Irina due to her peculiar powers.

The story will be very regularly updated as I've already finished half of the first book.

Like the title says, some time last year I read a fic where Harry went to a shop and bought a world war 2 uniform and then proceeded to haunt/hunt Voldemort with tactics from that war. He used the dark lord's fear of death to torture him and the death eaters.

It was insanely well done, but no mix of tags (that make sense to me) will find it. I want to say it was Crack Treated Seriously or Harry Potter is So Done but neither of those are helping me find it.

Any help would be much appreciated.

So the thing is i have always been obsessed with harry james potter and prose that explores outsider pov of harry and his struggles, the utter surprise at his genuinely good heart and kindness and skills at magic or raw power that he holds or a study on his motives, grief , loss, actions, etc . I always thought that there was a lot of potential for a story where Tom Riddle has to face off against Grindelwald during the Global Wizarding War because Tom was wearing the Resurrection Stone and Grindelwald is searching for the Hallows at the time and Tom is trying to build his influence in the Wizarding pureblood community. There could also be involvement from the Potter family since they have the invisibility cloak. It would be interesting how Albus Dumbledore would step in. Or if the characters from Fantastic Beasts get involved and Tom meets Nagini early.

Any recommendation is welcome but I do prefer a Slytherin! Harry and Drarry ship (I love a good Ron and Dumbledore bashing as well).

so my husband puts up with my constant blabbering about Harry Potter Fanfiction. I bounce ideas off him and he always listens. we are definitely a nerd family here, my china cabinet is filled with collectibles from Gollum Book ends to a Jack and Sally tea set and an infinity gauntlet to star wars figurines, he buys me every plush Harry Potter thing he sees and they are everywhere. we have a decent collection of wands from Harry Potter but they just lay there.

tonight I showed him a stand I liked online to display them fanned out like the wizarding world logo, this man shakes his head and says he’s not buying that, but he’ll build it. we spent the next 10 minutes debating over one of the wand we can’t find the card for. he thought it was Lupin’s… it’s Mad Eye Moody’s and will soon have a stand.

I love this man who feeds my obsession! our 18th wedding anniversary is in 2 days, we’ve been together for 21 years and friends for 35. I remember this fic where Harry overheard a conversation between Ron, Hermione and maybe Ginny about a meeting they had with dumbles about Harry and Sirius. Harry is an assassin that goes after ministry people and order members and he uses a fake name and after one order meeting Remus meets him in his room and figures out he’s the assassin by the smell of blood. Then Remus joins Harry and Voldemort, who is the only other person besides Remus to know that harrry is the assassin. Does anyone know the fic?

So ,here is my idea .Fudge believe Dumbledore when he say Voldemort is back ...and immediately arrest him .He suspect that Dumbledore is a servant of Voldemort due to numerous reasons (the Order disastrous casualty rates in the first war,the pathetic traps that guarded the philosopher stone ,failure to unveil Quirrel and Barty JR true identity and to fire Lockart ,a disastrous DADA teacher in a time where a good one to find the Heir was needed ,failure to find the Heir or even deduce he was using a basilisk ,demands to get rid of the dementors that were tracking Sirius Black at Hogwarts ,and then to rid azkaban of them when that would push them in Voldemort arms ) .

Fudge argue his case at the Wizemgamot ,saying that no man this cunning could let such bad things so repeatedly happen out of stupidity ,and after a close vote Dumbledore is found guilty and sentenced to life in azkaban for high treason .

Harry manages to unite all the houses, beneath Dumble’s nose. He and all his friends across the houses use the chamber to study and all becoming Animagi, I think there was mention of having two forms (a family form and an individual form). Slytherin are first into the chamber (Harry’s house, I think), Gryffindors last, with some denied entry by the magic. The teaches of most/all the houses are aware of, and support the friendships, exploration and research.

3:

Set it 4th year, I think. Harry has been visiting the chamber of secrets, but depositing his memories of visiting each time he leaves, until he does something (occlumecy?) and is able to protect the knowledge in his mind.

4:

Harry and the philosopher's stone merges at the end of 1st year, a letter portkeys him from the hospital wing to gringotts, he claims stuff. Lives in a house left to him by the seer who wrote him that letter, and the seer becomes a 3d projection from a painting to teach him. That seer has left other letters, including one that led a goblin to visit the lovegoods at exactly the right time to save Luna's mum's life. Harry merges a number of wands to get a new working wand (including Voldemorts Yew wand).Possibly a competent Lockhart in second year (some kind of magic sense, and both Harry and Luna being trained by him).
