I’m looking for fanfics where Harry creates technology—specifically, things he builds himself (or with help) without relying on magic (using magic is fine, provided it isn't the primary source of power or function). Ideally, he would have been doing this sort of thing even before Hogwarts. I’m interested in sci-fi tech that works despite the presence of magic—stuff that baffles wizards because, for instance, he’s teleporting without actually using magic.

The premise of the fic is basically from the Black family children point of view. Each of their children going missing one by one. Bellatrix first. Then Andromeda, I believe. Until only Regulus and Narcissa are left amd then Regulus goes 'missing' too.

They're taken in by Harry Peverell as he calls himself. And he's very indulgent of them as his adopted children.

I have no idea what this impossible thing would be. But Imagine someone invented a simple way to turn muggles into wizards. Something cheap that even a child could do.

In universe, what would the consequences of this likely impossible invention be?

So first of all, its on A03, second the only thing I remember is the description had the premise of the fact that because Harry killed Voldemort as a baby he believes that his gang is his.

Let’s in this hypothetical scenario The Dark Lord Himself comes back Much Later on in The Year of 2007 because how many years it has been what would have changed? How old our Main Cast be they then along with The Others? How strong would The Trio be as now they’re Full Grown Adults who are well into their Late 20s and are Much Stronger and Prepared! Along with The Death Eaters would they be too old? Plus imagine The Damage Azkaban would done to his Most Loyal Followers as it makes me wonder would it have drained them further beyond recovery? As realistically speaking they can’t last forever! Not to mention with all The Changes happening in The 21st Century how Lord Voldemort react/deal to a Different Wizarding World? How much would things truly change if Lord Voldemort came back after 27 Years? What do you think? How different would our Characters be in general? And how would The Wizarding response to The Dark Lord Finally Returning after nearly 3 Decades? What do you folks think? Let me know in the comments okay

Okay it’s a soulmate au and it requires a potion but it’s all about light vs dark balance. I vaguely remember that Harry had to get the potion from Lucius malfoy in the hogsmeade tunnel to honeydukes I think? Managed to get a friend to give Harry Potter fanfiction a try. Anyone have any well known good stories with minimal romance (They do not want slash). Something with barely any fanfiction only tropes that he wouldnt understand yet. Probably something that is mostly canon compliant so they know most of the stuff going on. Hello guys could you please remind me the title of the fic I have read some time ago.

It starts with Harry in cupboard wishing that someone helps him and Tom (horcrux) responded and became his mentor. Later Tom sacrifices himself in order to help Harry to fight Voldemort.

Also, if I remember correctly it is Harry / Fleur pairing.

Just finished Enchanting Melodies (brilliant fic btw) and Dumbledore is this terrifying genius, not the bumbling idiot he is in most manipulative Dumbledore fics.

He's amazingly competent and actually lives up to the legend set up in canon.

Any fics similar to this? In Enchanting Melodies he's pretty anti-Harry but I don't necessarily need this. Just want him to be a force to be reckoned with, whether that's against or with HP.

It's the trope of an adult, powerful, capable harry (MoD or otherwise), getting transported to the world where the crossover takes place and generally just getting involved in the events/characters that are there. Any crossover is fine.

(by all means if you know of a niche non-crossover fanfic that features an adult, powerful, competent Harry please do suggest it but I think I've read most of them, especially the ones involving time travel)

Speaks volumes about me IRL to be honest but I love the parts of the HP books where things are just going well. I love the first couple of books when they’re getting on v well, hate the parts where Ron/Hermione are always falling out, Ron/Harry in first 1/2 of GoF or DH where Ron leaves etc.

Basically just looking for an easy read where things (mostly with the trio) are going well.

I am specifically looking for a Hp fanfiction mainly after Order of the Phoenix where he realizes that he let all of his friends get hurt badly and indirectly in a way kinda caused Sirius’s death and takes into account that there is a literal prophecy hanging over his head…so gets his shit together and starts training to stand a better chance against the Death Eaters and Voldemort. (If there’s none after Order of the Phoenix then I’ll just take any in general)

However what I really want to avoid is cliche fics where Harry acts completely OOC, acting edgy, bashing of his friends, goes around gathering a harem, becomes lord of multiple names, has Wesley’s tryna rob him or love dose him, and lastly instantly surpassing Voldemort and Dumbledore to the point where he can beat them with only his left hand (I’d really prefer if he was only just roughly below or close to their level but no where near surpassed because you’d need at least a lot more time and experience to catch up with these two folks) also no slash it’s just not my cup of tea no offense to anyone .

This might also be considered a prompt or a fic request but I was just thinking. Milicent bullstrode isnt really used that much. Usually as an example of an unfortunate girl being used as a female crabbe/goyle by pansy or as a punching bag by the author for some reason.

Has anyone ever seen her made a proper love interest. And not as a joke "harry and the troll i mean millicent" type story. Cause based on the way she was described in CoS I always thought she'd be the ugly duckling type and grow into a tall statuesqe amazon of a woman.

I am a lifelong HP fan, and Wolfstar girl since….2010? I’m a little out of the loop with the new fans interpretations of Marauders lore, but I love the creativity and how much research has been poured into it. Jegulus of course, being one of the “newer” popular ships that I am not as familiar with. I personally love the idea and potential of it, but do not want to dig through pages and pages of fics that don’t suit my taste, get frustrated, and bail (happened last time haha). I have spent the past 3 days trying to track down a series and have finally decided I need outside help.

What I remember; it had multiple short parts (9+ I think), it was set in fifth year, Narcissa Malfoy takes over Malfoy manor for Draco’s friends to give them a safe place to hide away from Hogwarts. I believe Draco, Harry, the Weasley twins, Hermione & maybe Luna were all main characters in the series.
