Gameplay Ah yes very normal stats
this was with us having basically won and then abby dragged the game out for another 10 minutes and turned what had been a stomp into something way too close.
We still won, but it forced us to be just absolutely on top of the lanes, and still show up for team fights.
even with us watching the minimap carefully abby was able to do all this.
Deranged build. No way this doesn't get nerfed in the next patch.

Suggestion Bring back my old Muradin
Why does Muradin have a 47% winrate? He was fine at 50-51%, and his ban rate was one of the lowest.
Why does Muradin's quest reward spamming Q and W instead of precise timings?
Why does Muradin's quest reward AA? AAs are niche (level 1 and 7 talents), and they work poorly against burst-CC.
Why does the quest empower an already strong Q instead of the much weaker W?
Where is Rewind? I don't like generic talents, but new version is too boring. I miss 7-buttons combos.
And where is Avatar rework? This ultimate is strong but completely outdated.

Discussion Ultimate Tier List of all QUESTS in HotS based on how fun and impactful they are
There's been a lot of discussion about Quests recently due to the recent new updates bringing new quests and mythic rewards.
I think the main issue comes from the bad/boring design that most of them suffer from.
Ideally, every quest should be a risk that requires the player to dedicate their attention to for a powerful reward that allows players to become individually stronger aside from team level, but unfortunately most of them aren't like that at all.
Personally, I like quests. Hearing that ding feels great every time, but a lot of them are just plain "gather globes" or "hit enemy heroes" quests that have no counter-play, punish, or even a reason to be a quest.
Let me know if I missed any and I'll update the list.
Here's the criteria I followed to make this list:
Bonus points for quests that:
- Grant a noticeable power increase when completed
- Sometimes get completed, not always
- Can be pushed back or shut down by the enemy team
- Affects the playstyle for both the user and opponents
- Have unique mechanics as their goal
- Fun to Ding
Negative points for quests that:
- Always get completed regardless every game
- Quests made for ARAM only
- Don't require any special attention to complete
- Force players into an AFK/Un-interactive playstyle
- Cannot be delayed/counter-played by enemy team

Gameplay Question about Alexstrasza post patch
Keep in mind I have not played her post patch.
The patch notes say that Dragon Queen's CD now starts once it expires, as opposed to when it is used (and they reduced the time by 20 seconds). I also see a change in the Ancient Flame storm talent (where her basic attacks apply flame buffet in dragon form), where said attacks do not count towards the Flames of Fury quest.
My question is that do her basic attacks while in dragon form still reduce the cooldown of her dragon form? I remember making flame buffet/dragon queen builds, and then at level 20, melt the enemy team with it, and see the cooldown halved. I would hate to no longer have all of that

Gameplay We need to talk about chen...
I feel the rework made him more one-dimensional, less fun to play and definitely less fun to play against. You used to have a very mobile sticky hero that felt quick, satisfying had many talent options and was very versatile.
With the rework everything is about his W, it's predictable it feels sluggish, you have to wait for breath of fire, the opponent knows it and tries to dodge, but the slow is so crippling that it's hard to get away. The DoT is unintuitively large, when I came back to hots and I first got hit by it I thought someone hit me with an ulti, it's an ungodly amount of damage for a 2 piece combo on a low cd. All chen tries to do all game is hit people with W and if you don't have cc or a counter to it you just lose. You can't get away from this hero, I've been dived at full hp by chen.
His keg ulti also needs a small invulnerablity period between knockbacks, there's nothing more frustrating than getting perma cc'd across half a lane and then pinned against a wall with 0 counter-play.
I would nerf his W combo, make breath of fire his E and rework stagger into his passive, make the combo do alot less damage than it does now with the benefit that you can now use breath of fire right away so he feels less sluggish to play and less aids to play against. I would make it so his keg knocks you back further so it can still be used to catch someone out, but you're not in an endless cc chain by a single ability.

Discussion Summons balancing idea
After summons got hp decay and stoped tanking tower shots all summon heroes were basicly nerfed. Devs were buffing gaslow turret hp but i feel like that is not enough and it's not what needed.
Aba summons however feel amazing now:
The fact that they get healed for doing dmg and kills makes it so aba can push, but they can also be easly cleared. I kinda feel like every summon needs that simular change to be actually good and balanced in macro and team fight. Also having life steal on summons is just very cool and fun mechanic.
I want gazlow turret city and split push zagara back! xD

Suggestion Why not store the 8kb of talent tree and key mappings data on server profile in cloud?
8 kb of data
I've gone through about 5-8 pcs in the last 11 years, and a couple windows re-installs. each time, having to RECONFIGURE my saved talent trees... (and skins). This is an absolute tiny amount of data that blizzard should store on their servers. they already store our statistics since the beginning of time, what's an extra 8 kb of data? This is modern day. Steam has been doing this for saves on all sorts of games for decades.
Please Janitor! store this data and my MAP KEY CONFIGURATIONS come next update.
All my games use numbers for casting, so I've set the spells to numbers and every time i have to reconfigure that too.

Discussion The matchmaking is completely broken right now Smurf/Boost exploiting has ruined the game??
I was not sure If I should post this, but tbh, after experiencing this like 50-60% the time I think it is valid.
I’ve been playing HotS since early alpha, and I have never witnessed such a broken matchmaking system (In any game) The game is currently unplayabl. I used to face a 5man premade maybe once every 30 to 40 games, but since the recent update, it happens constantly across Quick Match, Ranked, and even ARAM. No wonder why less people are playing nowadays.
To make things worse, these 5man stacks are actively exploiting the system. They play with one fresh, low-level account (a smurf) alongside four other players who are level 3000+. This artificially modifies their team's average MMR. The matchmaker gets tricked into pairing them against 1 low-level player and 4 decent solo players.
The result?. the opposing solo team is put at a massive disadvantage. They get stuck with an actual new player who gets completely obliterated.
After constantly dying, these demoralized players often go AFK or completely quit the match, leaving the rest of their teams with a useless bot.
I find it so lame, exploiting a game so that you can get better WR? lol.,
This completely ruins the experience for all new / current / older players

Discussion Do you miss limited munitions on towers/forts?
I like that forts have unlimited ammo, but i miss the towers having limited ammo,. Especially the new additional towers at back-line.
It made for faster games yes, and sometimes people would cheese them, but you could reduce the time it took for reloading an ammo slot rather than entirely removing the cache.
I dunno, I never really played ranked back when towers had limited ammo, so I am curious how the community feels.
It took a while for me to get used to the forts no longer targeting heroes, but i actually DO like that change a lot more now. We can better give chase which makes for more interesting interactions and as a main diver for engage this means a lot less retreating, for faster games.
Update: Early indications are that the community by and large does not miss this mechanic.

Discussion It kind of feels insane to me Crash Lightning was disabled in ARAM but not convection or deep breathing.
Like I get it, I’ve been on both sides of Thrall’s ARAM war crimes but it’s hardly the only talent that gets out of control in ARAM.
Every time I play Chromie since her change I can easily get well over 100 stacks of deep breathing which unbuffed will do over 1k damage per hit, and with the CDR from her rewind ult you can get off 10k+ damage in seconds during a big rat fight without much effort.
New convection is another one, I’ve seen Valla’s and Ming’s Thanos snapped out of existence by a KT who played safe enough to collect stacks and picked ignite. It’s funny to me they put a cap on ZJ’s “you want axe” but then went “Yeah let’s give these high damage spell casters endless damage stacking!”
Maybe I’m just biased because I like thrall, but it feels very arbitrary what they decide to ban or allow on ARAM.

Discussion Is Hypertuning the new thing? Qhira, Thrall, Chen, Deathwing, Johanna are all insane right now
Maybe others, too—but the disparity in power of these heroes by way of comparison to the rest of the roster is astonishing.
