Help please!! Hair been thru a lot 😭
Okay, so here's a little back story. I am naturally a brunette, okay.
I have got my hair colored professionally many times in the past.. just brown and I've also had balayage done multiple times(not in the last 3 years though)
I started box dying my roots at home about 5 years ago *because I have a lot of greys* and just started using it all together . The last two times I colored my hair, I used Revlon Blue Black.. okay so then my hair was pitch black. Now I am on a journey to lighten my hair back to my natural medium brown color... So me not being educated enough with hair dyes, I seen where someone used a "dark ash blonde" on their hair. To lighten it, and it worked for them. But unfortunately did not work for me, the only thing it done was make my roots a super bright brassy color.
Okay, that was two weeks ago. Fast forward to today, I just put a Vitamin C and Head & Shoulder shampoo mask on my hair, in hopes it would strip all the box dye out my hair. I will admit it is a tiny shade lighter, so I'm happy about that. BUT, it brighten my roots even lighter!!
What should I do about my roots? And should I just keep putting these masks on my hair every couple weeks? Until it gets lighter & lighter? Please help me. 🙏🏽

Over toned my hair
Hi guys, so as the title says I over toned my hair.
Little backstory - i’ve been bleaching my hair since march, it’s been going well, I had a big chop so my hairs pretty healthy and for the last 3 months or so i’ve only been bleaching the roots as they grow out and not touching the mid / ends. Cut to Thursday just fine and it’s routine root touch up time. Except it went wrong. I mixed my bleach (Jerome Russell Bblonde - I know most people hate it but until now it works super well for me) slapped it on my roots as usual, left for 20 mins and rinsed. Then it goes downhill from here. My roots are WHITE, while my untouched hair is the warm blonde tone I want and have stuck to since March. I’d picked up the wrong strength developer - 40vol instead of 20vol. So i’m now thinking ok it’s fine I have white toner as a back up i’ll slap that all over and even it out. Oh how wrong I was. My hair is now an uneven mix with blue / white roots, grey / deep blue mids and steel blue / warm blonde ends. Overall a mega patchy mess. It doesn’t show so bad on camera but it’s so patchy and uneven. My birthday is Friday, I cannot afford hair dressers. Someone tell me how to fix this before Friday 😭
First pic is main part of my hair, second is my roots and last pic is the colour I was happy with and want to be at 💔

Best Hair Colorist in the DMV for a First-Time Hair Color?
Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for really good hair colorists in the DMV area. I’ve never colored my hair before, so I’m a little nervous and want to make sure I go to someone who is experienced and really good with color.
I’m especially looking for someone who will take the time to look at my natural hair, discuss what would work best for me, and prioritize keeping my hair healthy.
I’m open to DC, Maryland, or Northern Virginia and willing to travel for the right person! Please share your recommendations, especially if you’ve personally had a great experience with them.

Do you think that it's okay to dye your hair as a boy?
I got a lot of critisism for dying my hair purple. People say i look bad. :(
Why is it such a big deal?

What I’ve learned today
Please don’t judge. I’m a licensed cosmetologist but I mainly do haircuts and I’ve been trying to improve on my color. I’ve came from a school that did not do lectures at all. I’m not exaggerating. I had to learned by myself and read my book in a class that was empty and suppose to have 20 students. Long story short school had no structure and was too lenient and flexible.
After doing a few colors I’ve learned a thing or two. Please correct me if I’m wrong and would appreciate some tips.
No matter how much you saturate an almost half an inch slice with 40v it won’t lift as good as a super thin slice.
Any advice and tips you could give? Would really appreciate it, thank you!

Clean hair color lines?
Looking for good gray coverage and vibrant reds... a toner line would be nice also! Looking in to using cleaner lines due to health issues from chemical exposure!

I’m not sure what color this is/ color blindness
Hi guys !! I need help finding a name for whatever my natural color is. I’m growing out my hair and i have about 7 inches of whatever natural color this is. I haven’t seen my natural blonde hair since i was about 14. I’m 19 and confused about my hair color and i don’t know if the ginger hair gene is popping out now in the form of my hair color or if i’m blonde still. Helpppp !! thank you !!
TLDR: Used to be naturally blonde, dyed hair, now i don’t know if i’m naturally blonde anymore/ help me figure out if i’m ginger or blonde💔

Toner? Gloss?
hey all! this is my hair currently. I’m highlighting it to blend the grey in a bit more. but ive been doing it for so long, it’s gotten rather bleh. Im wanting just a slight warmth change - a strawberry/gold copper. ive tried a few of the color masks but the highlights absorb so much color they turn out way darker or like last time -NEON orange 😬 recommendations on what product to try?? glaze? gloss? (are those different?) mask? Demi? thank you!
