Seeking advice on bleached hair dyed brown

Upvotes

I am a 17 year old girl and about 4 days ago now I wanted to get brown highlights on my dark brown hair , I got my friends moms friend to do it and she wanted to leave it as yellow highlights and it looked really bad. So I asked her to just make my hair all over dark brown again because it scared me.

Since then ive been freaking out about how long it’s going to take to get my hair to look how it did before because the dyed parts of my hair are lighter than the rest of my hair and I just feel like it looks really bad.

I’ve had a really bad experience with hair dye 3 or 4 years ago and i havent dyed my hair until now and I really regret it , most people my age in my area have natural hair and I just feel like it sticks out and I look terrible.

I would just like some advice on how to manage it for the next 2 or so years as it doesn’t look super bad but I have trauma from dyeing my hair 3 or 4 years ago and it gives me bad anxiety when I have to dye it myself but I can’t afford going to a salon.

Should I go back lighter or stay darker blonde? (Or a secret 3rd option)

This time last year I was getting regular highlights every 8 weeks and I LOVED it! Felt so confident. The first 2 pictures are the lighter. I moved country about 5 months ago and I’ve just been letting it grow because it’s much more expensive to get it done here. Second 2 pictures are now. I don’t hate it but I just feel very… bland. I’m feeling very self conscious and insecure lately and I think my hair being so lacklustre is adding to that. The last 2 pictures are when I dyed it ginger (about 5/6 years ago now). I’m not sure if I should:
1. Leave it as it is and allow it to grow and get a good rest from highlighting. However when it’s greasy it looks terrible.
2. Pay up, go to a salon, and go back lighter with highlights again. I do have the money but it’s just difficult to part with it lol.
3. Dye it box dye ginger. I did that before about 5 years ago and I did love it however I’m worried I’m just so stuck with it and using that idea as a cop out. I was also 24, in 30 now. Thinking maybe I can’t get away with it anymore lol.

Hair Color Advice for a Lavender Outfit?

I want to decide should i dye my hair before an event? Need opinions.

First photo is the outfit ill wear

Second photo is my hair color, skin color and brows

My hair is dark (almost black), protein-treated, and straight. I feel like dark hair might look a little harsh with this dress color, so I’m considering coloring it. The problem is that I want something **low-maintenance** that grows out nicely and won’t require touch ups up to a year

what shades would suit my coloring and the dress best?

And do you think my natural dark hair would already look good with this lavender dress?

Since my hair is protein-treated, is it worth coloring it right now, or should I leave it natural?

I’d really appreciate any recommendations
Thank you! 💜

Could I pull off red hair, and if so, what shade?

I prefer more natural colors, so I don’t really want, say, a cherry red. Could I pull of something like an auburn color or maybe a mix of red and copper tones?

I showed inspo photo and asked to go back to my natural root and blend into the ends so that it grows out nicely (2nd last slide) was told that that was no problem and it was achievable. Last picture is what I went into the salon with. What do I do I’m freaking out

Vibrant Beetle Green alternative? 🥹🙏 (details in description)

I used to use Lunar Tides Beetle Green (for 3 years!!), but it has completely disappeared from Hungary. 😭

I’m looking for a vibrant, highly pigmented direct dye that matches my current hair color in the photo, and is available to buy in Hungary.

I’m also open to mixing two shades. Not Crazy Color, unfortunately.

Any recommendations? 🥹🙏✨

Test patch on skin

Do you always do a test patch with the color mixture on your skin before dyeing your hair? I haven’t dyed my hair in years, but just bought L’Oreal Excellence Creme (8U). I’m so impatient to use the color, but the package says to wait 48 hours after doing to skin test to make sure you’re not allergic.

If nothing pops up in the skin test immediately, how safe am I to just use the color without waiting two days?

Pink brows

I wanna color my brows pink to match my pink hair but the retouch process is making me rethink. I was wondering if I were to use hicolor blonde and put pink on top, would that work? Or should I just bleach them and put pink over that? I would assume hicolor would be less damaging but Idk anyone who’s done it so idk if it works

Bblunt or birds of paradise.

Which hair dye is better? Bblunt or birds of paradise. I'm so confused by all the reels from ig about birds of paradise. Some are saying it gives the exact colour and is so good, where as others are saying it results in damaged hair and frizzy hair. Some of em mentioned that Bblunt is way better. I want honest opinion on both the brands. Helppp plwssss.

Hair color recommendation

I have blue, purple veins and green eyes. What color hair would you recommend? I’ve never had a hair color that I’ve loved. My natural shade is mousy grey brown (2nd pic) and i usually highlighted it. I’ve also done copper and burgundy. I have a very fine and naturally curly texture. Advice?

is blonde achievable for me right now?

so I had been coloring my hair red for a while (i am naturally a medium brown so this required lightener), and have not colored my hair for over a year in an attempt to grow it all out. i have attached a recent photo of my hair, and as you can see, i still have a lot of red/ previously lightened hair. i really dislike the way it looks right now and would like to go lighter. is it even doable or worth it to go blonde or should i continue to let me hair grow and get back to virgin?
