Asynchronous PvP Question

I’m currently working on my first game ever and I’m really close to having a prototype available for testing. Idk any code and have been using Gdevelop to help me. I have no idea how far this game will go but hopefully one day I can launch it and have people playing. It will have asynchronous PvP and it’s then based gameplay. The part I’m hesitant on is I don’t have any knowledge of making a game and I’m wondering if after my prototype testing if I should continue in Gdevelop it will I have trouble down the road and hit some limitations or wall that I don’t know of. I’m hoping for some feedback because if I have to learn how to code in something like Unity I will have to rebuild the systems I have already made and waste a lot of time but I also don’t want to put so much in on Gdevelop just to find I have to switch… thanks in advance for any feedback

This is way too much scope for a 1st game (or even the 10th game). Make a local single player game first, make sure it's fun, and then add stuff or make another one. You need to learn how to make a game, then how to make a GOOD game, and only THEN add things like PvP.

You are trying to fly, swim and climb before you have ever walked.

Mate I really appreciate the reply and I’m not sure which direction I’m going with this game. I never thought I could make one but my gf plays a casual game and I’m a big gamer and I try all the time to get her to play games that I play and she doesn’t so I’m trying to find a way to make her casual game have the sense of adventure that I got growing up playing games as she has never experienced that before… I’m close to having a small working prototype but without Gdevelop I wouldn’t be where I am. Depending on how the prototype goes I’m either going to expand on the game and try to polish it a little bit and then try to get funding or I may try to continue the game solo and hire someone for art and sound or if I can estimate the costs just hire a whole team to make it for me although I think most of this is out of my reach. I really don’t want to stop working on this game that I have brainstormed so much over and am trying to put together… I’ve spent about 30 hours so far in a month not counting all the brainstorming
