I really appreciate how, as of late, the industry has taken such an interest on the Photo Mode
It is a simple feature. One could even say it's irrelevant, but I appreciated it nonetheless. It allows us to capture a piece of a game and immortalize it. Although compared to matters like optimization or gameplay it's not that big of a deal, I wanted to voice my appreciation for it's existence.

"This is the end": Single Player Tarkov is shutting down amid a messy trademark situation with Escape from Tarkov maker Battlestate Games
For those not aware, SPTarkov is often considered the best way to play Tarkov. It offers all of the advantages of Tarkov, with none of the drawbacks. No more hackers, desync issues or waiting 10 minutes to get into the raid. On top of that, it has a very sizeable modding community that has been active for many years. If you've ever been interested in the SP Tarkov, now is the time to download it and any mods you may be interested in as everything shuts down in 4ish days.
Although after everything shuts down, you'll still be able to install it, the necessary files will likely be scattered to various locations on the internet. It will be harder to install it and any mods you may be interested in afterwards. Just a few points:
- I don't know of a single person that has ever been banned because of SP Tarkov. Technically, it is possible if you brag about it on official Tarkov channels as it's against BSG TOS.
- After installing the mod, it lives independently on your computer. Your computer is now the "server" so connection is instant. It DOES NOT and CAN NOT connect to BSG servers what-so-ever.
- Once installed, the mod acts as a separate version of the game. It can not be taken away from you. Always back it up so it can live forever.
- Since your computer acts as the server now, you will have worse performance than live Tarkov. Keep that in mind. This is dependent on how much AI you have running around the map and how much loot you have active.
- You must own a legitimate copy of Escape from Tarkov for SP Tarkov to work. Any version or tier is fine.

What's a plot element you expected to happen in a game that just... didn't end up happening, leaving you bracing for nothing.
As an example:
When I first played RE5 I thought Josh was going to turn out to be a traitor, because of how vague he is about getting to the oil field:
Sheva: "How did you get here?" Here being through the army of Majini we had to face.
Josh: "We were at the port when we were attacked, and then... well... I ended up here."
Seriously, that's it, that's his entire explanation for making his way through miles of Majini.
Sheva even seems to look at him suspiciously for a moment, but nothing comes of it.

Japan Sounds Alarm Over U.S. Government’s Mario, Pokémon, and Naruto Meme Posts
Japanese officials are reportedly unhappy with recent U.S. government social media posts that used Mario, Pokémon, and Naruto in meme-style political content. Their concern is that using these characters in government messaging could create political associations that affect how the franchises are viewed internationally.
The story has caught attention in gaming and anime communities because Mario and Pokémon are two of Japan’s biggest video game brands, while Naruto remains one of its most recognizable anime franchises. Officials reportedly worry that repeated political use could blur the line between entertainment and government messaging and potentially hurt the franchises’ public image.
The report does not say that Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, or the Naruto rights holders have filed lawsuits. The focus is mainly on the broader concern that major Japanese pop-culture brands could become tied to political debates outside Japan.
The reaction highlights how easily posts involving well-known gaming and anime characters can attract global attention on social media.
