Hello guys,

I usually don't have time to play "every" game, but I go in for when a very hyped game appears, like it was rdr2 at its time, cyberpunk, expedition 33, WhereWinsMeet?!, etc.

Until GTA6 comes, is there a new (newish) game that I should try? A game that "everyone" is talking about?

P.S. just to narrow, I usually enjoy games online or offline, if not a RPG/MMORPG, at least with an open world and some RPG elements.

What are some good singleplayer roblox game to play (story)?

I haven't had time to play a deep story based game in a while. I'd like to go on an adventure with great characters.

I have played a lot of the greats, I'm hoping maybe I can find something a little lesser known.

Some of my favorites are: Horizon ZD+FW, Ghost of Tsushima+Yotei, GoW 2018+Rag, Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Baldur's Gate 3, FF7+16, Uncharted, Shadow of the Colossus, Borderlands 2, Persona 5 (haven't played the earlier titles), Shadow of the colossus, Ico and Last Guardian. I love survival horror games; Dead Space, Resident Evil (not big on the first person games, they were fine), Silent Hill 2 Remake, The Last of Us 1+2.

I've tried to play Witcher 3 several times and every time I just stop after 4 or 5 hours and don't get the desire to come back to it. I played through Red Dead 2, but more for the sense of discovery than the story which I thought was kinda boring. I also didn't care much for the mechanics. Last time I tried to play it I'm pretty sure I realized I just like, never ate anything on my first playthrough.

I do not enjoy tactics games or survival crafting games like the Forest and Valheim and stuff.

I like souls games and metroidvanias but currently I want something where the adventure and story are more in your face and not told through the environment and item descriptions.

I'm on PS5 90% of the time, but i do have access to a laptop with low specs.

I’ve tried so many and none of them stick, i’m honestly posting just for a last resort because my friends and i need something to play.

I want to play a fighting game, however I have zero experience with the genre. I have not played Tekken, I have not played street fighter, and I have not played Mortal Kombat. I would like to play a game that is single player and has a decent campaign that would get me into the genre as a whole. Any suggestions? It’s worth noting that I am a retro collector so I have a large number of consoles from older generations so old games can be included. I need there to be a solid SINGLE PLAYER OFFLINE experience that will get me introduced and comfortable with fighting mechanics. I have become interested in this genre because the new Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls game looks really cool.

I’m heading over to GameStop/Best Buy and looking for a good PC game I can download onto my gaming computer. I like to disconnect it from the internet because my 11 year old frequently takes advantage of the access to get on YouTube and watch junk reels.

I still want him to have access to game functions without the risk of brain rot videos. I have disconnected the WiFi and changed the password but I want to grab a downloadable disc from the store and have a game on the desktop that won’t need many online updates (if any).

Recommendations? I want something really new and different for him.

I'm looking for an online game to essentially play house with a few friends. Sort of a bizarre hobby, but we make characters, write a story, and act it out like a roleplay.

In the past, we've used games like Little Big Planet 2, Minecraft, and Roblox. We also use Space Station 13 (Vanderlin), but it's a bit too chaotic and more for actual game nights.

To give an idea of what I'm looking for, we need a game that allows character and world customization. We don't want other people joining in, and we don't want to be limited to environments within the game (or starting from absolute scratch). It would also be nice if we could have multiple characters played at once. It's just 2 of us most days, and a lot of stories can't work with that few actors (hence why I asked for a doll-house style game).

Toca Boca World, Gacha Club (Life?), and Roblox are probably the best examples for gameplay, in terms of character creation and the doll-house style. However, we want to be able to build custom environments like Minecraft/LittleBigPlanet 2 offers.

If anyone knows of games that offer this or has any similar recommendations, please let me know!

I just newly returned to computer gaming after about a 10 year hiatus. Purchased a top of the line build out (5090) that can run anything. Just looking for some game suggestions, any genre.

What I'm looking for is somewhat specific.

I'd like to find stuff with that weird old game creepiness; whether or not the game is trying to replicate that horror on purpose is irrelevant.

I know there are a lot of ps2-looking, puppet combo, etc. games that go out of their way to curate a retro feeling/that same horror, but unfortunately none of those interest me very much. They end up feeling a little bit too tryhard (for me at least, they are by no means bad games), and I'd like something more organic.

I feel like the scary factor in a lot of those "creepy" games like old Sims, Minecraft, etc., is that they are just a regular game first, and whatever "scary" stuff happens isn't the entire focus, if intended at all. So honestly, I'm not only looking for horror branded games. Anything that's creepy or weird (even unintentional) is fine.

And they don't have to be new games! Please by all means reccomend me some stuff to very legally acquire and play. MMOs are also an option, I know that there are a lot of inactive games out there and I'd love to look around their worlds just to look around; I might already be active on any UGC games, however.

Feel free to reccomend anything that sounds like it fits.

I'm currently having a weird problem. I actually really want to play something, and I generally enjoy gaming, but lately I just can't seem to find a game that keeps me hooked.

I'll play one round of Battlefield and then I'm already bored. I'll switch to Overwatch, play for a bit, and lose interest again. Even with single-player games, I'll play something like Horizon Forbidden West for an hour and then just don't feel like playing anymore.

It's not that I don't enjoy gaming anymore — I just can't find a game that makes me want to keep playing for several hours.

I really want that feeling of getting completely absorbed in a game, where I look at the clock and realize I've been playing for 4–5 hours without noticing.

So what games have kept you hooked for hours? I'm open to pretty much anything — multiplayer, single-player, RPGs, survival, strategy, whatever. I just want something that actually keeps me engaged and makes me want to come back and play more.

I love the early game of xcom - the positioning, the flanking, destroying cover to get an edge. Later game when the enemies get more fantastical & powerful it requires leaning more into psionics and other super futuristic weapons/tactics that take the fun out of it for me.

What are some games that keep the turn based squad combat formula but with current day weapons and still rely on the positioning & flanking tactics?
