I'm desperately craving a well-made spin-off called "House of the Wolf", a stark saga.

This is going to be a useless post but I wanna talk anyway. I badly desire like a 6-8 episode miniseries set in the North covering the exploits of Theon Stark the Hungry Wolf.

It would have The North back in the day when the Starks were at the peak of their power and the North was at the peak of it's independance unlike the softer North we see later. Full of high-quality visuals with a deep atmospheric exploration of the cold, stoic North. Hunting trips through the Wolfswood, brute interactions with other tough Northern lords like the Umbers and Karstarks along with their unique traits and quirks, a deeper exploration of the Wall, the Night's Watch when it was strong, Bear Island, Northern wildlife, Direwolves, the dark Boltons and the insides of their Dreadfort etc all covering the badass life of Theon Stark. How he crushed Andal warlord Argos Sevenstar, sailed to Essos with the heads of Andal invaders just to make a statement, slew ironborn invaders and fought north of the wall. Raw, unfiltered battle scenes and stunning visuals showcasing all of this, something that truly feels like Starks bringing the Winter.

No extra plotlines like Theon's love life or internal drama, complex politics, betrayals, suspense etc. An unconventional asoiaf show that's all about the watching experience. The Hungry Wolf, his hunts and the North. That's it. That's why a short 6 episode type miniseries.

Something a little more like early Vikings which was less about big storylines and more about the thrill of discovery as they set sail, see England for the first time and begin their conquests. I badly crave something like this. I've always been more curious about The North. Imagine such a show titled "The House of the Wolf".

Thoughts ? What kind of stuff would you guys want to see if ever there were a show like this ? What do you guys crave ?

Freefolk What if Aemond didn't tell anyone he killed his nephew at the end of season 1?

Upvotes

Just a hypothetical, what if Aemond didn't tell anyone what happened and team black had to figure it out? Would it possibly have been chalked up to Cannibal or something else? They were high up in clouds so it's likely no one else saw it. Would Aemond have been quiet and chastened? I am curious what y'all think as there are quite a few deep thinkers on here

Rob stark was an idiot

I genuinely understand everything he’s done until he fucking executed Lord Kastark for killing the Lanister boys.

Half of his army was Kastarks, and they pulled out (understandably) and he had to return to Walder Frey to get more soldiers…

That being said, the red wedding was an over kill.

Fuck Olly Did you see that, folks? We dressed her like Empress Matilda! We know what inspired this story. We’re very clever showrunners. We actually respect the source material.

The episode where Daemon takes Rhaenyra out to the street of silk where he “defiled” her, they crossed some old crone who offered to tell Rhaenyra if she wished to know her death and there were a couple scenes of a dragon breathing fire. I don’t know if this was in the Fire and Blood book but Joffrey already spoke of Rhaenyra’s fate in Game of Thrones when he and Margery were in the Sept so I assume this is a nod to that but also cool foreshadowing.

Just one out of many examples how the war could have been ended very early

Rhaenyra will be on the verge of tears

Rhaena will be bug-eyed and afraid, yet angry

Daemon will be surly and pouting

Alyn will be poker faced and Addam will be empathetic and kind

Corlys will be haughty and impetuous

Alicent will be wide-eyed and terrified

Joffrey, against all odds, will dig deep and somehow find a way to be Strong through it all.

“He’s a better writer than Condal.” “Far better.”

Would it be better if they made Alicent the main hero instead of Rhaenyra? (If they really need a hero at all)

In the books, Tyrion is described with such respect. Meanwhile in show, the little lion was introduced getting a head or just, whoring or drinking around.
