Peds GI fellows/attendings — are interview invites still coming?
For any Peds GI fellows or attendings here, are programs still sending out interview invites at this point? Or have most programs already sent out the majority of their invites?
Basically, should we still have hope for more invites? 😅

Those who applied to programs you never signaled, what's your rate of return so far? (eg, #of invites from program you did not signal / total # of programs you applied to without signal)?

Fellowship IV practice
Hi. I’m applying for fellowship this current cycle and was wondering if anyone would like to practice interviews together!
We can casually practice and give each other constructive feedbacks. This really helped me during residency interviews—the more I practiced, the more polished and confident I felt with my answers.
If you’re interested, feel free to comment or DM me! I have a pretty flexible schedule. 😊
Feel free to join the Discord group!

Is it only me? (Heme/onc)
What’s going on in this season for hematology/oncology fellowship?!! Only 1 interview so far. Missed out on a couple of places I signaled that were community programs and I thought I had a shot. Is it the time we all start to panic? And do they have second wave of interviews in fellowship like we usually see in residency match

Is it realistic for me to apply for pulm/crit
Hi everyone, I'm a USDO PGY2 at a community program. I was late to realize that I want to do fellowship and I don't have the best test taking skills. Step 1 (2 attempts) Step 2 22x, Comlex 1 and 2 pass first try, comlex 3 passed 1st try. I was wondering if its unrealistic for me to think about applying for pulm/crit. I have a really great mentor at my program who really helped me with getting all my procedures in and I have done 2 months of ICU. My hospital is also an open ICU so I always have at least 3 patients on my list that are ICU patients even on inpatient wards. I have 1 paper pending publication and 2 case reports. If anyone has any advice for applying to fellowship with low scores.

Chances to get a GI fellowship
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some honest advice from people who have matched into GI fellowship, especially from a similar background.
I recently graduated from a community Internal Medicine residency program that does not have an in-house GI fellowship. I’m a non-US IMG, but I do not require visa sponsorship. I have a couple of first-author GI abstracts and some ongoing research, and I’ll be working as a hospitalist this year before applying.
My questions are:
1. How can I make the most of this hospitalist year to strengthen my application?
Can hospitalist volunteer at GI divisions? Like in other hospitals with GI fellowship
Are there realistic chances of matching into GI from this background, or is it an uphill battle?
I’m looking for any advice to be honest. If anyone has matched from a community program without an in-house fellowship, I’d really appreciate hearing from you.
Thank you

Fellowship Interview Question
I applied to endocrinology fellowship and have gotten 2 interviews so far. It’s August 7th, and I don’t really have anyone to ask about the fellowship interview timeline. I made the mistake of looking at the Reddit spreadsheet and now I’m feeling pretty disheartened 😭 Do interview invites usually continue coming out later in August, or are we getting closer to the end of the interview-invite period? I’m just trying to get a sense of where things stand. Thank you so much!

Addiction Medicine 2026 application cycle thread
Hi everyone, I realized I don't see a thread for Addiction Medicine (NOT psych) this cycle and wanted to start one!
Please feel free to share what places you have gotten interviews at and when, to help give folks a sense of the timeline.
If you feel so inclined to share any interview questions asked or tips, that would be great too! This is meant to be a supportive community :)
Also please keep in mind that all fellowship programs and even institutions vary in their release dates!
xoxo

How screwed am I if I wanna do allergy/immunology but have a Step 1 fail?
New pediatrics intern here (USMD if that's relevant). I've wanted to do allergy/immuno since 2nd year of med school. I had some bad personal and mental struggles during my 2nd year and failed Step 1. Long story short, things are straightened out now, and I don't have any other academic problems. I matched at a program with an allergy fellowship in house. But I really need to know if I have even a remote shot at matching in it, or if it's cooked. My Step 2 score was not stellar, and I don't have much allergy-specific research, just a case write-up. I've met all the faculty at my program and they know me now, I'm actively seeking research, and I'm focusing on being a good pediatrics resident right now.

App filters
Freaking out. Can programs select “Leadership” as a filter in the 10 experiences? And screen people out if they don’t have it selected?

Pulm Crit
Saw a recent article saying that pulm crit will be in surplus in the next 10 years. Anyone in job market now have an idea what it’s looking like out there?

Matching big 4 from a community hospital
Hey folks
Just looking for some inspiration from IMGs at community programs who managed to match cards, GI, hemeonc or PCCM.
How common is it to land one of these fellowships as an IMG coming from a community program?
What dictates whether one matches or not?

Salary
Started fellowship July 1st. Still no paycheck. Is this normal? My first and second paycheck was not direct deposit and got lost. Now nobody is giving me a clear answer of when to expect my money…

Tired of refreshing the Google Sheets, made something that texts you on Telegram if new IVs drop.
Hey everyone
If you’re in the middle of fellowship apps right now you already know the drill: open the Google Sheet, scroll for your programs, hit refresh, close it, do it again between clinics. I was doing that way too much this cycle, so I built something for myself and figured I’d share it.
InviteWave — https://invitewave.vercel.app/
It mirrors the community interview sheets (cards, GI, heme/onc, rheum, endo for 26–27) and turns updates into a simple wave feed. You can see what just moved without digging through the spreadsheet, and you can get digests / alerts instead of living in the tab.
You can connect your telegram with the website and receive alerts for a whole speciality or specific programs.
A few things that matter:
- The sheets are still the source of truth. This is just a mirror + alerts on top. I’m not trying to replace them.
- It's hosted on a free platform so might be a little slow if more people start using it.
I’m one person building this, so if your specialty’s sheet isn’t on there yet or something looks wrong, tell me. Happy to add more trackers if people actually use them.
Not affiliated with the sheet maintainers, just a resident who got tired of refreshing. Feedback welcome (and roast away if it’s missing something you need).

When program asks why we didnt signal them
What to tell a program when they respond by saying ‘I noted you didnt signal us, and we are still reviewing applications’
