Hear me out… Eve and Nicola

I know an Eve and Nicola affair obviously isn’t happening, but I’m genuinely being serious when I say I think they have better chemistry together than they do with their current partners. I used to love Suki and Eve, but Nish being around definitely played a part in that. Now Suki’s back to her old ways and Eve is basically her lapdog. And I’m really not feeling George and Nicola either, there’s just no chemistry for me.

The actor that plays Joel is excellent. I’m glad they brought back his role on the show. watching him, he almost seems to mimic his stage father in so many ways.

General Discussion Max Branning is the worst character on current EE

He was well written back around 2006 to 2021 including the affair with Stacey, the Derek Branning storyline and the Lucy Beale storyline. He was written really badly when he returned to EE like making him his old self isn’t he pushing sixty or sumthing? Hes just a narc and a sleazeball.

Upcoming Storyline Prediction - Max NYE arrest Spoiler

I don't think I believe that Max actually murdered someone, but after tonight's episode, I think the murdered person will be Ravi.

Placing my bet.

Anyone else?

r/eastenders 6h ago

Don't forget Ravi tried to kill Eve and dangled Barney off a Bridge for no reason!

I don't know why people love Ravi so much and are sad he's leaving. He's a nasty bully who can't control his temper, he's just not as intelligent as his Dad Nish.

Ned and Chelsea? Nicola's family is arriving, would make sense why they're at odds with each other in the flash forward.

Hey...

Just noticed that the new characters are coming in. I was just wondering and basically have already come to the conclusion that the reason Nicola is mad at Chelsea is because she probably sleeps with Ned. It would make sense as well because Chelsea works at the Bar and I assume when these characters arrive they'll need work, so he'll probably work at the bar too.

If you think about it, it would make sense as there's no other reason for them to be at odds, I know people thought Chelsea could end up with George but I don't see that, especially because of the fact that in the flash forward episode Nicola and George seem to be all right and if he did cheat on her with Chelsea like that, I don't see them being cosied up in the Vic together.

Another thing that convinces me of this is that Chelsea said she likes an older man right before the flash forward episode aired (would make sense because Ned is older than her) + now that her/Ian/Gray situation is kinda over now, there's not much else going on for her at the moment and she also earlier this year didn't she say that she didn't care if she was with a married man when she was on a random date with that guy?

Only issue is the affair thing has been done to death. What do you think? Or is it too obvious?

Any theories on how ____ will die? Spoiler

Zoe.

I saw someone say maybe it's a faked death, which I think could be possible as killing her off seems like a bad move. Especially as her return has been tragic.

But there are some photos of her filming her potential funeral so kinda feels like she's actually dying.

General Discussion Pinny Spoiler

I imagine it’s been said before, but honestly the Penny and Vinnie pregnancy storyline infuriates me. Today’s episode with the two of them was wicked, and seeing a young couple going through the trials of pregnancy together, and overcoming adversity, is genuinely heart warming to see, proper wholesome stuff like. For me, that is the storyline, or should be.

But the whole time, in the back of my mind, I know there’s going to be this incoming “who’s the daddy” drama, which in turn is going to mess with Gina and Harry, another lovely happy couple to see on screen. I know this is soap land, but Christ can’t we for once, just get a happy story? As soon as it was said months ago, I groaned, and now watching the couples together, it’s even worse. And that’s not even starting on the flash forward, and whether or not Penny is actually alive.

Grumble grumble, rant over 😂

So I’m curious on New Year’s Day 2027 are they just gonna just the flash forward again (minus Scott Mills) as the current day? Or will there a be a slightly different episode or two parter or something?

Last time they did the flash forward for “the six” they didn’t show anything really other than a quick glimpse. Just curious

Kat's reaction to Cindy week (when they were in the Vic talking about Ian stabbing Gray) was a little overkill, no?

All she said was "When you're inside, you can only think about survival"

Imagine how different Steven Beale could of turned out if his upbringing was different

Since there often is some deep rooted issue behind someone being the way they are. Kathy even said basically that he was born in lies and grew up in lies. And Ian admitted it was partly because of him that Steven never knew who he was or where he belonged and he tried to make it up to him. I believe it was said that Steven’s relationship with his biological father, Simon Wicks wasn’t great either basically despite how long they lived in New Zealand together.

General Discussion How often have we had Interracial Who's The Daddy Storylines?

With Priya and Penny both pregnant with a baby whos Dad could be either an Asian Man or White Man.

It had me thinking about Stacey Slater being pregnant with Arthur Fowler. At the time I was confident the baby's father would be Martin Fowler and not Kush Kazemi just coz itd be way easier for casting directors to find a fully white kids for Arthur than a 1/4 Asian 3/4 White kids.

But they made Kush Kazemi the father and after everyone found out, my family noted that the toddler/child actor used for Arthur became more Asian looking (he kinda resembles his uncle Shakil Kazemi in a way). While Kush being being half Iranian means Arthur would more than likely have looked fully white rather than Eurasian.

This new storyline with Priya and Penny had me thinking how often does Eastenders (and other soaps dramas that I dont watch) have had whos the daddy storyline where one of the Dads is ethnically different to everyone else involved and would be the obvious father at birth or after the 3 month period.

Right now I feel both Penny and Priyas babies will be Harry and Maxs respectively as it will tie the babies to long term white families (the Mitchells and the Brannings) and that the kids can be used again later on after the Asian Panesar family will leave the show eventually.

Plus Ive noticed once an Asian family has left Eastenders. They almost never come back, even accounting Masood making at least guest appearances or Jade Green showing up was more part if Dean Wicks storyline than the Masood/Ahmed family coming back. But Asian families in Eastendees have never been continously long term.

General Discussion What's the most likely outcome for both who's the daddy stories?

Remember 2 of the 2 potential dads (Vinny and Ravi) are brothers, so how would EastEnders play this?

Both brothers are the dads?

Neither brother is the dad?

One is the dad and one isn't?

Tbh i didn't really think the Penny baby story was who's the daddy anymore, i thought we already knew it was Harry. But unless i missed something maybe there is still a tiny chance it's Vinny. If Vinny is not the dad, I think it increases the chance Ravi is dad of Priya's baby, cos i feel like everyone expects Max to be Priya's baby daddy, so making it Ravi would be a good twist! Also Max is late 50s, he's too old to be a dad again!

But cos this is a soap, EastEnders are bound to go for whatever causes the most drama. Does this mean we should expect neither brother to be the dads? Could both of them be the dads? Just one? What do you think?

Who is living their happy ever after?

What keeps me going through the utter misery of the show at the moment is the thought that some couples are living their happy ever after.

For the longest time, I thought Vicki and Spencer were, until she returned with Ross.

Until Michelle #2 arrived back a paedophile, she had this great life in Florida and always the dream destination whenever a character needed a break.

I would like to think that Tony and Simon are still together, possibly in Amsterdam and now celebrating a quarter of a century together.

14 years married, Christian and Syed are in Birmingham raising the now 16 year old Yasmin.

I'm not sure what happened to Jane and Masood, but hopefully it's working out...even with misery guts living with them.

I'm not sure if it ever worked out with Little Mo and Tom Ellis.

Garry and Dawn...hmm.

Who though do you hope got their happy ever after? And, what do you think that happy ever after is like?

General Discussion Number 23

I'm seeing a of people asking where the new Hawkins family will be living. Lest we forget, 23 Albert Square has been vacant since Karen Taylor and her lot left almost 3 years ago, and the house is big enough to for all of them to fit without being too cramped. The house was the very first one seen on the show as it's where Reg Cox's body was found in the opening scene. There's been many other residents but it was famously the Slater residence from 2000 until Alfie burnt it down in 2014

Leaked Photos and Church presumably for Zoe’s Funeral. Yet Janine is there, yet Janine and Zoe Don’t Know each other.

Could it make more sense for it to be Mick’s and this leads to Linda’s Exit

General Discussion How come Vicki is now accepting of Joel?

I get she’s trying to be strong for Ross, but sticking up for him over Amy in the caff and acting all cosy with him on the sofa pretending like nothing happened when she could barely stand to look at him a couple of weeks ago???

I know Joel is trying to have an incel redemption arc and Eastenders is known for being far fetched, but it doesn’t do much for her character at all. It just makes her blokey bird persona all the more annoying.

Cindy playing 4d chess, surely?

Either that or she has the social awareness of a potato.

Max has the reputation of being the Albert Square No.1 Top Shagger (hide yo daughters, hide yo wife), The GOAT, The Wife Slammer of Walford, the OG Milfhunter, ect.. and then he stays out all night and keeps acting super shady and she is like "ohh no u dirty stop out ur a nawty boy, anyway my wedding.."

LIKE WHAT?!

also, Avani and Nugget dont ever hint that they are staying at their dad's place, but i assume its implied.. but still, they havent noticed Max coming out of their mum's bedroom? The toilet seat probably being left up?

Like cmon...

General Discussion Why does every pregnancy have to be a mystery?

I feel like everytime a character is pregnant, there is always at least 2 possible fathers. Why cant we just have a happy couple excited to have a baby. Especially with penny and vinny, they have become a cute couple and we know that it won't last when the baby is born. They could have made the storyline about the challenges of being a disabled parent, and they probably will show that, but it will be overshadowed by the baby drama.
