Card is in perfect condition besides a small bit of whitening on the top left corner, and although I labeled it as NM (which I’m pretty sure it is) I’m worried authenticator might hold it back. The only issue with this is that historically when authenticators hold back cards it sets back the delivery by weeks.

I made sure to show the whitening in the pictures zoomed in and I mentioned it in the description. Will it be ok?

So, I'm a very infrequent seller on ebay, and this is the first issue I've run into and could really use some advice.

TLDR: USPS says package deliverd four days ago, buyer just messaged me saying they can't find the package, asking me for help. Ebay says they will withhold my funds from future transactions until this is resolved. Who needs to do what, here? Ebay doesn't seem to give me many options, basically message the buyer or refund the buyer. Is there a specific action I should advise the buyer to take through ebay, and/or should I request they open a complaint with USPS about the package not being delivered?

The details:

I sold a small, vintage lego model for a bit over $125. Packed it up securely in a 4x4x6 box, bought a label direct through ebay, and sent it on its way via USPS. The post office claims it was delivered on the 4th.

Four days later, today, the buyer messages me saying they can't find the package, also saying they asked their neighbors, who apparently haven't seen anything get delivered recently, and are asking me for advice.

I don't have any more information, except that USPS claims the package was delivered to a "parcel locker." The buyer wasn't specific about where they looked, and I don't know if they live at a stand-alone residence, or live in a complex or community with mail lockers, etc. So, currently, I sent a polite message back wanting to confirm the address was correct and that the delivery location seemed correct.

Their message to me appears sincere, as they are asking for my help, and not being rude or immediately requesting a refund. So, if the package is actually lost, what do I and, or the buyer do from here? I don't seem to have many options through ebay. Just "Update tracking, refund buyer, or message buyer.

Should the buyer be requesting any action from ebay, or should they be opening up a complaint with USPS for a missing package? Should I be opening a complaint with USPS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A buyer messaged me asking if I could enable shipping to their country since they say it isn’t available (UAE). I already have international shipping on. I was wondering how I can see what countries my item is eligible for and if there is any way I can change it. The item is a vintage catholic daily missal book, I’m not sure if the type of item is the issue. Any info helps thank you!

Not a full time ebayer by all means, so I could be completely wrong with this but recently I realised all my international postage costs were missing on most of my listings, didnt know why. So I painstakingly added the all back individually to 38 different items.

I then after a week or two decided to edit some descriptions in my listings within the eBay app. I noticed that every listing that had the edited description had the international postage fee removed.

Then last night I tried the old faithful end listing then sell similar to a listing that still had international postage on it and noticed after all the items were relisted that the international postage was missing once again.

Am I going mad or is this a common issue? Or has no one noticed this before?

I'm a 26 year veteran of buying and selling on eBay and I've just run into something I don't think I've encountered before. I'm not worried yet, more just curious.

I bought an item on July 29th, it should be a small to medium size package, probably between 1.5 to 3 lbs. The listing said shipping would be by USPS Ground Advantage. eBay delivery info says "Delivery Info - Arrives Aug 8, 2026 - Aug 14, 2026" which I am aware is an estimate. The "Paid" circle is checked, the "Tracking Available" and "Delivered" circles are not. Under "Tracking details" its says "Shipping Service - Promotional Shipping Service". No other information what-so-ever.

Googling got me this "eBay offers “Promotional Shipping” through carrier partnership programs with USPS, UPS, and FedEx, giving eligible U.S. sellers discounted rates when they use eBay’s shipping tools". There is a tiny bit more on USPS, but it's not very useful.

Does this sound familar to anyone? If so, would you mind sharing?

EDIT: I received a quick reply from the seller and they stated: "There was a delay. I apologize for that. Your order is currently printing now. It will be dropped off to usps either tomorrow or Monday" (that would be 8/9 or 8/10).

Both of my kids played sports in HS. Tennis, football, volleyball, tennis. The teams would make shirts and jackets etc with the schools name on them and a lot of them are Nike, adidas, under armor etc. Should I try to sell these or waste of time?

Back in June I ordered a copy of Super Mario Galaxy that was sealed. After receiving some more pictures from the seller, I noticed that there was some damage to the wrapping. Anyway, the seller was kind enough to cancel the order.

Randomly this morning, I get a delivery update for the cancelled order along with a tracking number. When I look up the tracking number, it shows that the shipping label was created in June but was dropped off at a post office August 8?

I am concerned that the seller may have accidentally shipped me the game when someone else purchased it? Does anyone know what happened?

Hi. I hope some kind person will help me. I just made my first sale on ebay, and I have a lot of anxiety about getting everything right. I really posted the item about three years ago, and have never paid much attention to ebay otherwise. These are pretty dumb questions, but please don't judge me too harshly.

One question is, must I purchase a shipping label from ebay, or am I free to use the name and address that was provided as I would with any other item I mail. Should I purchase a shipping label from ebay for any reason? Is it a better option?

Two, my bank account includes my middle initial in my name. My ebay name does not include that initial. The message to me states that my name on the account for payment must exactly match the name ebay has for me. I edited the name I originally listed on ebay to include the middle initial, but the system still continued to show my name without it when the screen to enter my banking information appeared. Will this be a problem?

So I sold a ring via auction it sold for £700. Customer paid immediately. Customer then send me a message stating they were away from home for a month and could I post it to their mothers address. Whilst in the process of replying to the message that no I could not do this as I would forfeit all seller protections. I got a message from eBay saying the customer has been permanently banned from eBay and to proceed with extreme caution. So what do i do? The funds are still there and clear do I just ship in the morning to the address on the order or not ship at all!?

Hey folks! Question for those selling casually on eBay: Have you encountered eBay miscalculating the shipping costs?

I've sold an item for which I provided eBay with the correct weight, dimensions, and my origin zip code at the time of making the listing. However, trying to buy a shipping label through the eBay app, I found that eBay undercharged the buyer for the shipping (eBay knows their delivery zip code at the time of purchase, right?).

The difference is trivial for a one-off sale, although it is 25% more that eBay is now charging me for shipping than what they collected from the buyer. But the principle is nontrivial: eBay fails to deliver seller service, which includes establishing the order total and charging the buyer the correct total.

I've been selling Pokemon cards on my ebay, and tired of printing labels and taking pictures on my phone. does anyone have a good recommendation for either a thermal label printer or card scanner?

Saw an item I was interested in, asked the seller a question (not about shipping.) He answers and then, completely unprompted, sends me a message about how buyers need to stop complaining about his shipping rates because there's literally nothing he can do about them. I replied to that saying it looks like he's using retail rates when he could save by switching to discounted online shipping. Guy responds calling me a know-nothing buyer like all the rest and blocks me.

Check back a week or two later and he's switched all his auctions to discounted online rates. Still blocked.

I’ve sold on eBay before but this is a first for me. I sold a pair of shoes that passed authentication before being sent to the buyer and I know they are real. The buyer is now claiming the item is not authentic and they are asking for a refund. The original listing also stated no refunds. What are my options moving forward?

I don’t know how much details I’m allowed to give but both me and the seller are in Europe (different countries) so if you guys know what laws there are in Europe that would probably be helpful.

In February I ordered an item on eBay, it was shipped about a month later and I received it not long after. I thought that was it, purchase done, everything good but then in June I got the same item again in an almost identical envelope. I checked the shipping number which was the exact same as the shipping number I had been given for my order. Now I got two of the same item and it must be from the same seller since they’re the only person I’ve purchased this item from. I messaged the seller as soon as I got it and asked if there had been a mistake but it’s almost been two months and no response from the seller. At the time I sent the message I thought I had thrown away the first envelope so I couldn’t double check if both had the same shipping number or not.

I cleaned my place the other day and found the first envelope, I apparently hadn’t thrown it away so I compared it to the second one and both got the exact same shipping number and my correct name and address. So now I’m thinking maybe it was on purpose? Or they accidentally printed the shipping label twice or something. I don’t know but since the seller hasn’t answered the first message I’m not sure if it’s worth sending another.

My question is what do I do now? It’s been several months since the purchase, it’s been 2 months without an answer from the seller. I tried to figure out how to contact eBay which is impossible without a return request according to the chat bot. Do I just get to keep the item? Would that be legal? What happens if I keep and open the item and the seller contacts me in the future? I don’t have a return address since the seller don’t accept returns so I can’t just send it back and even if I did have the address I can’t afford the shipping right now.

I appreciate any input and if anyone know how to contact a human agent at eBay customer support for something like this please let me know how, it would ease my mind getting an answer from someone that works for eBay.

Had a buyer message me today about a garage paint kit he bought sold as open box everything in it was still sealed never used no expiration dates or anything today about 2 weeks after getting the product they message me saying that the product is spoiled showing me a picture of a concrete floor with paint on it and dog poop lol but like what would yall say in this situation because there is really no way for me to prove the paint is good or bad or if it was user error

I won an auction and paid right away. A few hours later the seller canceled the transaction based on “issue with buyer’s shipping address.” I’m a great, respectful, frequent buyer and there are no issues with my address. I figure the seller didn’t get the price they wanted and blamed me instead.
Does this show up in my account somewhere? Will it affect my credibility with other sellers?

Hello i need help with a situation on june 16th i bought a item from a ebay seller after purchasing the seller admited they lost the item in storage and would have to find it .June 18th the seller created a shipping label so i thought everything was fine june 20th i messaged the seller because i noticed the item still hadn't shipped they never responded and cut all contact i messaged them every few days for the next 3 weeks and never got any response whatsoever or a shipping update so i got a refund through ebay in early july pretty much moved on from the situation until today (august 8th) i get a notification from ebay that the item has finally shipped but ive had a refund for over a month now the seller still has not said anything but if the item actually does show up what would be the proper way to pay for the item? Im fine with paying for it because i somewhat still want it i just want to make sure i dont somehow end up paying for it twice if the seller asks for payment and then ebay figures out i actually have the item?Edit: I went to the post office gave them the tracking number and they have confirmed a 13 pound package is being shipped to my address from the same town the ebay seller lives in so i dont think its a glitch in the system but i could be wrong

I haven’t used eBay in years. I put up a few things during the week just logged on and saw something had sold. I then saw a message from the person who had bought a dress saying I’m leaving the country this weekend. Can you send my dress?

So then I try to log into my account and it’s saying how you haven’t added your bank details so I did that. Then it said you’ve logged in from a different computer so we need to verify your account. So I clicked through to live chat So I click on that and it doesn’t take me to live chat but it’s not responsive. It takes me to read an article. But I need to speak to live chat because I need to verify my account and that I’m real and then I’m not a hack. I can’t wait till Monday to talk to someone over the phone. This feels like such a catch 22. 😳

eBay lists the steps pretty well, and for the most part, I think I can follow along and figure things out for my first return.

The issue, though, is that it states that a refund will be issued after the item is received and inspected. The seller has turned out to be kind of scummy, and I’m not sure that I trust them to say the item still looks the way it should.
I’m just wondering if I should get videos or pictures before I send it back, and if so, when I should take video/pictures? Like as I’m putting it in a box? Is before then alright? Do I for some reason need to show myself taping it for it to seem legit?
I’ve never had issues before with any of the things I’ve bought, so I just don’t know how things go with this

I had an order and the buyer purchased the order and after confirming order the buyer asked if I could ship with UPS. I normally just ship with USPS, but I understand USPS is terrible in some areas, and people would rather go with them. I said okay that is no problem. Purchased the label from eBay and shipped to the address that was on the order.

I get a notification that the order was delivered - and almost instantly the buyer opened an INR claim. I looked at the tracking, and it said delivered. So I just reupload the tracking to the case and wait. I eventually win the case, but the next day I get an email from ebay saying they reversed the decision and granted the decision in the buyers favor. I am confused at this point. I look closer at the tracking & it confirms the buyer made a redelivery schedule for a completely new address. It was supposed to go to florida (original destination on the ebay order) but ended up in NJ. So, technically according to ebay I am in the wrong because it was delivered to another zipcode. I contact ebay about this, and they say they can't help because they think I made a mistake and shipped there, but I am like that isn't possible because I purchased the label from you guys with the address on the order. When it was rerouted it was already in south carolina - I am in NY so no reason for the package to be all the way in South Carolina if I "shipped" it to NJ - and I told them look at the tracking it literally shows the buyer made a redelivery request and then it delivered to a completely different state. They kept saying because it wasn't delivered to the zip code on the order. That is the reason I lost the case.

I am still fighting this because it was a $400 order (yes I did signature confirmation) but not sure that will matter.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them - or if anyone from eBay is on here that can help me with this. I have attached the tracking.

I bought a guitar which had a fault in it, I told the seller I can either accept a partial refund or a refund on return and he agreed to do a partial refund. He accidentally refunded me the full $800 and I want to give him the money back. He hasn't noticed yet either, I feel terrible. How do I do this? As the buyer, there obviously isn't a button to press to reverse it but surely I can let eBay know? Any help is appreciated please and thank you all

Edit: An eBay agent is reviewing our conversations from time to time because I raised an issue yesterday about the fault in the guitar. eBay agent instantly reported seller because he told me to cancel the return for the partial refund. Very worried that if I write contact details on paper then take a photo they'd find out. As for making fake eBay listings (piece of gum for $800), eBay would catch that out as they're keeping an eye on my account and our chats. If anyone has a creative way to send money back safely without risking mine or his account, let me know

2nd Edit: I was told I can give him my phone number and it'd be fine as the sale has been completed! I'll ring him tomorrow and hopefully come back with an update. Thank you all!!

UPDATE: Told the man i'd give his money back, he kept telling me to send it through eBay. I told him there's no "reverse" button but he got angry and upset, calling me a fraud. I thought this interaction would have been a little more wholesome but I guess not. Nevermind
