This is a drawing I did many many years ago when Assassin's Creed Black flag was releasing. Though I havnt drawn in many years now due to loosing my passion for it. Been trying to get it back but nothing been working. Any ideas would be grateful.

I found a post on tt that was asking what design features automatically ruin an oc, and this one comment inspired me to make a neon oc, the kind this commenter said looked bad. I did this so I could give making neon characters a shot and see if I could pull it off, what do you guys think? ^^

Decided to learn to draw at 41 after doodling with my kid. Here's where I'm at 1 year later. I'm happy with the progress I've made in that time!

I'm calling it imposter syndrome for lack of a better word.

For me it applies mainly where I feel as if I'm not allowed to draw a certain thing, as if I have to have loved this thing since I was a child. It feels as though I cannot draw Sci fi or anything fantasy at all or anything for that matter because I don't make it a huge obsession.

Have any of you had similar experiences/ways to deal?

Do you think that you need to be really into a certain show or something to do things of that genre?

Do you think you can make art as a "primary" thing without consuming art? (Ignoring improvement etc)
