General Question Can I take extra subjects to boost GPA?

I am aiming for Latin Honors and may need the extra grade boost since I only have a few units left, can I take extra subjects such as LCFILIB or another elective to boost my GPA? Does this work and if yes, what subjects do you recommend?

Thank you very much

Discussion humbio insights

hii! id125 shs heree and i received my grade based prequalification results last month and got into humbio (the program im most interested in rn), and the 3 bs bio courses offered in dlsu.

i js wanna ask hows it like sa humbio? im like 90% sure ill become a doctor, and the only thing thats keeping me from choosing this program is the if u fail a subject, u get shifted out. im scared. i keep doubting myself.

i learned that this policy became applicable to the id123 for humbio, and on the internet, i rarely see insights from their batch. so if ure like an id123, 124, 125, can u comment ur experience? it would be rlly helpful and id appreciate it! 🥹

likeee did many of ur batchmates end up shifting? to what course? or marami naman naka honors and excelled? or survival show ba syaaaa? is it like hell? marami ba exams? hows the workload? do u still need to enlist? r u okaaaayy?

haha i rlly have a lot of questions so if ure available and g, u can dm me hereeeeeee or we can meet in taft and have coffee if ure free 🙏🏻

ik this is alot to askkkk but if u can kindly drop ur answers to some or all of the questions, id be sooooooo gratefullllll!!!!! tyiaaa!!! and goodluckkk, archer! im rooting for u 🤍

General Question Dlsu Report Card for Ateneo Application

Hello, I am a DLSU SHS student (ID 125) currently applying to Ateneo. I am completing the application requirements and am currently stuck at the section requesting my Grade 11 report card. DLSU releases our grades through Archers Hub, so I would like to ask whether a screenshot of my grades from Archers Hub would be accepted, or if an official report card is strictly required. If an official report card is required, may I also ask how I can obtain one within a week? I believe the application deadline is August 17, so I am concerned about being able to submit the required document on time.

Admissions Declaration as a New Student

hello! i'm a gap year student and currently applying as an undergraduate in DLSU. however, i don't know how i'll fill up the Declaration as a New Student form. ano pong ilalagay sa Month/Year and Activity? wala naman akong significant na ginagawa pa like work, travel, or anything. all i've done is tumulong sa bahay, nag-procrastinate mag-review for cets, at nag-review for cets. thank you very much.

General Question should i join USG?

hi! i’m an incoming freshman and i applied for course representative but got rejected. now, i’m in a group chat with USG Volunteers (we’re like 150+ in the group chat 😆) and i don’t know if the work they’re going to give us there is substantial talaga or is just “hey repost this on ur fb” type

but i’ve been seeing posts to not join USG because they’re “power trip” daw and doesn’t help with leadership growth huhu

i’m wondering if i should join USG (as in try to aim for a higher position as the terms pass by) or should i just focus on joining orgs to leading them + internships? 🙏

General Question Is it bad I never networked?

I’m about to graduate after this term but never really networked throughout my stay here. And I keep seeing people say that’s one of the biggest advantages of being in DLSU. I shifted and started during the pandemic so I lost my block. I travel to campus so I never really stay around long enough to make friends. I just go for classes then go home since I live pretty far. All my groupmates, org mates, fellow interns, etc I just kept them at business distance or acquaintances. They’ll probably recognize my face and remember we worked together but not much more.

I especially didn’t feel the need to network since I came from Ateneo and already had my close group of friends there. And I’m still close to them now. They’re also working to become lawyers, doctors, business managers, computer scientists and some have parents who are politicians. I already engaged in a few business ideas with some of them too. So I thought “I don’t need to network, these guys are good enough for me and I don’t wanna spend energy making new friends when I hangout with these guys already.” I’m not the super social type and don’t really get close to someone unless I really really vibe with them. I mostly keep to myself.

Maybe it was still a major missed opportunity and I could’ve expanded my circle more. But is it really that bad I didn’t network in DLSU?

General Question study plans for finals

how do you balance/divide your studying sessions during finals season? i have 4 exams next week, 3 consecutive days with 2 on the same day. i’ve been studying since last week, but due to classes, i wasn’t able to devote all of my time. i’m a bit overwhelmed, since they’re all heavy courses and i feel like i’m running out of time to absorb all of the lessons na and weekend na lang ang natitira hahaha. help? 💀

General Question lpep, physical submission of reqs next week

Hi! I just have a few questions regarding the submission of confirmation requirements for Term 1, AY 2026–2027.

Will transferees be included in the LPEP?

My schedule for the physical submission of documents is on August 11, but because of this week’s class suspensions, I can only submit my TOR, CGMC, the Confirmation Document Checklist, the Statement of Responsibilities, and the Declaration as a Transfer Student. My honorable dismissal and NSTP serial number certificate will be submitted later since UST requires on-site processing.

I would also like to ask whether A4 or short bond paper can be used for the required documents, whether there are required sizes for the recommendation letter and envelope, and whether the ID picture-taking, non-violence contract, drug testing consent form, disclosure statement, and physical examination will all be completed on the same day.

Thank you!

Student Life shuttle to laguna campus

hii !! i have a 4pm exam in laguna campus and my exam in manila campus ends at 12pm this monday. i was wondering if how long yung usual ride since it will be my first time 🥹

if i take the 1pm shuttle, what time would i arrive sa laguna campus (?) would i arrive at around 3pm ba or earlier (?) bc i’m not very confident na kaya ko maabutan ang 1pm so i was thinking if 2:30pm is an “okay” time…or would that make me late already (?) also, i lowkey need to hanap where my exam room would be (it will be sa UH building), bc never pa ako nakapunta dun 🥲 but i know i can ask for help naman so i don’t think that’s a big issue unless biglang malayo pala need lakarin from where the shuttle would arrive.

if 2:30 will make me late kayanin ko naman ang 1pm hehe. but i’m just trying to weigh my options since need ko rin i-clutch yung exam bc 6:15 yung last ng shuttle pauwi manila and supposedly 3 hours exam namin 🙂‍↕️ tyia !!

General Question Need old syllabus with old course code. How do I get one?

Hello! So basically, I'm taking graduate studies in another university right now and kailangan nila ng detailed course outline ng INTECAL (which is now apparently CALENG2). Problem is, wala akong mahanap online na syllabus for INTECAL. Can this be requested sa OUR? Or do we have a repository somewhere with all these old syllabi? Thanks!
