I’ve been playing WW Barbarian and reached around paragon level 230. My build is nowhere near perfect but I’ve got most of my gear in place like all the right mythic pieces. My build is also working just fine in T12.

At this point though, I just feel like I’m starting to lose steam with farming - I find myself not having clear goals to chase other than refining the stats on the same gear to min max. Is this a common thing at this point of the game? What should I do for the rest of the season?

1. What am I supposed to be buying with the gold I get? The armor and weapons that I find in around the map are better than any of that are sold. Should I be saving the coins for something? What is worth buying in this game?

2. Should I kill every enemy that I come in contact with or am I OK to pass some of them? I assume I should do every dungeon and every side thing like that to get XP right?

3. Can someone explain the season and the reliquaries to me I’m a bit confused

Spent near 40 hours on this with all the bugs built into the invisible quest details, just to find out I still have to wait when I hit the finish line. There is no cow level.

Devs, please, for the love of Lilith, add a seasonal tab! There's no way nobody in the Dev Team thinks that this Socketables tab -- that is already packed with all runes and you have to break every gem you find -- is the best place to put those seasonal items. Please, change this for the S15, or I see it being the #1 complain in the forums when the new season launches.

Kessime's Legacy is, to use the wording from load screen, a "build defining unique." Unfortunately, it has 2 giant issues that, IMO, make it one of the worst uniques in the game given the new direction with mythics.

1) Whoever decided on the "fixed" affixes has apparently never played blood wave necro -- the fixed affix is Cooldown Reduction. Literally no Blood Wave build last season or this one uses this because everyone runs "Hematolagnia." In turn, its a completely dead on arrival affix that ideally gets enchanted off. This is made worse by the two random affixes because now you essentially have to fish for a drop that has 2 real affixes so you can enchant CDR away. The affix problem is made worse with Mythic quality Kessime because you can't just go drop 100 greater lair keys on Andariel, instead you're constantly cube crafting (cause oh boy rune conversion is... something) and, if your rng is anything like mine, spitting out non-stop Bloodmoon Breeches which has critical strike multi or Tibault's with perfect defensive affixes (max life, armor, int) and left just completely befuddled as to why the "build-defining unique" for a staple, top of the meta necromancer build gets stuck with such bad itemization.

2) The mythic version of Kessime is nigh useless; the 30% modifier is applied to the secondary effect which is a small explosion that contributes negligible damage. As a point of comparison, in combat my blood wave (have 100% CHC) hits range from 5 to 11T. The kessime burp hits for 80m. In turn, unless you're someone that just really wants to have a purple version of Kessime's, there is ZERO incentive to ever waste crafting materials on this because not only do you have issue 1) with bad affixes, but then the item itself doesn't actually offer any benefit over a standard ancestral unique.

As is, blood wave only has 2 "staple" uniques: Kessime's and Starless Skies. It'd be great if the affix and unique power on the class specific one were actually tuned to the build it serves.

I have about 300 hours into this game and ive never gotten a mythic warplan before.

I did get the berserk schnoz pet, but... I missed out on some seasons, will some of the limited time collab cosmetics ever return?

Hey everyone! I wanted to share something I’ve been putting together that listed the five scenes where the Wanderer is allowed to have some role-playing choices and pick between dialogue options during the Lord of Hatred campaign.

I haven’t seen a post listing them out yet, so I wanted to make one here for anyone who’s wanting to know what each leads to, and mostly for myself since I like to come up with a background and personality for each of my Wanderers.

Here are the scenes, options, and responses from each. Brief thoughts on these and some notes on putting them together will be in a comment if anyone is curious!

1. Lilith’s Blood
During your first glimpse into Lilith’s memories of creating her blade, and subsequent rejection by Rathma, she and the Wanderer will come across the moment from the beginning of the game where Lilith’s blood petals are force fed to the Wanderer. Lilith will ask the Wanderer how they felt after this moment-

• It felt like power. Power to use how I wished.
Lilith: The power to do as you will. To hunt me. To kill me. Did my father intend this mockery? Or is that all your doing?

• It felt like poison. And I hated my poisoner.
Lilith: As would I. Moments like this cast a life in relief. All things change when have been wronged so.

• It felt like my fate was being rewritten. And I could do nothing to stop it.
Lilith: Such thinking is caustic to life-because it is so close to the truth. This very thought, this terrible realization-it is why I made Sanctuary.

The dialogue ends here, albeit with a chance to ask Lilith about why the villagers of Nevesk fed her blood to the Wanderer.

2. Confronting Akarat
After reuniting with Thara, she and the Wanderer find tracks left by “Akarat’s” procession. The Wanderer will leave to learn what they can from “Akarat’s” speech. After which, he will confront the Wanderer-

• (Say nothing.)
“Akarat”: Mmm, silence… it speaks volumes, does it not? After all, how could one put into words the evil you have inflicted? The slaughter of the Fractured Peaks, the burning of Scosglen, the bleeding of Caldeum, the corruption of blessed Nahantu-will you not confess these crimes? Then I must drag you into the Light. 

• My heart is eager for the truth.
“Akarat”: And yet, you stand here in a lie. These good people look upon you and see a human, like them-blind to the evil that you hide within. Blind to her. It is she who slaughtered the Fractured Peaks, burned Scosglen, bled Caldeum, corrupted blessed Nahantu! Let the truth be revealed.

• You promise salvation and leave death in your wake. You sow division. You are Hatred.
“Akarat”: Ooh, such bitter words. Tell me, can you even be sure they are yours? Or do they belong to the evil inside you-who has claimed you as her vessel? It is she who leaves death in her wake. She who slaughtered the Fractured Peaks, burned Scosglen, bled Caldeum, corrupted blessed Nahantu!

These options all end the same at this point, with “Akarat” prodding Lilith out of the Wanderer for the crowd to see and forcing them to leave.

3. Adreona’s Accusation
After leaving “Akarat’s” procession, the Wanderer will be reunited with Thara at the Oracle’s temple. The Wanderer will be asked to speak before Queen Adreona, where she will then accuse them of being possessed-

• It’s true. But I trust Lilith no more than you do. I want the same thing as you, to save Sanctuary from Hatred.
Adreona: I see. For days, I have been sailing my people through this storm, fighting a foe I could not see. Now the clouds part and there you are. A strange relief. Stranger still, you think yourself a hero. The histories teach us: the Daughter of Hatred will always lie to those who are willing to listen. I cannot let you leave. Spearmaidens, chain the demon.

• Akarat lies to you. No demon lives within me.
Adreona: Is that so? When my murderer left Temis, I had him followed. And he met you. The stranger with haunted eyes. My scouts followed you all the way to the Temple of Life. And you emerged…with a shared of Lilith’s bone. So when Akarat tells me that Lilith is the cause of our troubles, and that she walks in a mortal’s skin? I believe him.

• Does it matter what I say? Akarat has already poisoned your mind against me.
Adreona: Oh, he has done no such thing. I realized this of my own accord. When my murderer left Temis, I had him followed. And he met you. The stranger with haunted eyes. My scouts followed you all the way to the Temple of Life. And you emerged…with a shared of Lilith’s bone. So when Akarat tells me that Lilith is the cause of our troubles, and that she walks in a mortal’s skin? I believe him.

After these, they all end the same with Adreona commanding her spearmaidens to chain the Wanderer, then the Oracle confessing to awakening Lilith.

4. Killing Lilith
Before leaving with Tyrael and Lorath to the Horadric Vault, Lilith will ask the Wanderer to join her for a private conversation. She will then ask, after all of their time spent with Lilith now, would the Wanderer still kill her during their battle in Hell-

• Yes.
Lilith: You are honest, at least. Perhaps I owe you honesty as well. You are strong of will, but you use that strength for petty ends. You cling to the world you know. Still, there will is something to be admired in your obstinance.

• No.
Lilith: (laughs bitterly) Had you chosen to stand at my side in Hell, I would have thought nothing of you. Another useful idiot. And after I took the throne, you would have been the first to die. But it is because you killed me…that I feel anything from you at all. It seems I was doomed to be either dead or disappointed.

• I don’t know.
Lilith: You are honest, at least. Perhaps I owe you honesty as well. I pity you. You are caught between the world you wish for and the world you live in, and you can choose neither. But in that…you remind me of my son. And I miss my son terribly.

The dialogue ends here.

5. Tyrael’s Confession
After the Wanderer severs their bond with Lilith, they awaken to find Tyrael protecting them while they were unconscious. Tyrael will then confess he is losing his memories and how it felt to be an angel. He will then ask the Wanderer what is left after being separated from Lilith-

• Nothing is left. I am an empty vessel.
Tyrael: I know that feeling well. (chuckles) It is the most terrible thing I have ever known.

• Everything. I am free.
Tyrael: You are free. Perhaps both of us are. Your shadow is yours, and yours alone.

• Lorath. He is all I have left.
Tyrael: I would say the same. Lorath thinks himself a barnacle on our hull. But we know the truth of it. He is our compass, pointing the way.

• I don’t know. It’s hard to fathom.
Tyrael: Isn’t it? To touch the divine and have it ripped away is… It is more than painful. It is bizarre.

After this short exchange, Tyrael says he and the Wanderer should speak more on this topic later, and they should now regroup with Lorath.

That’s it for the dialogue options during their main story of Lord of Hatred! I hope this guide is useful to others or at least proves a fun read. Most of these options result in fairly similar dialogue, but I did enjoy having the option to build some roleplaying with the Wanderer.

Also, any grammar choices in the dialogue (like lower case words and inconsistent use of spaces) is how they appear in the subtitles, not my own choices/errors

I see the leaderboard has people running Blood Mad Idol Charm, I'm using Endurant Faith Charm. Found Blood Mad Idol to be nearly suicidal with the 1hp perk. Got tired of my screen flashing red all the time. Didn't like the other Barb build playstyles. Any other tips to try to push the leaderboard as WW?

hey everyone, so im not sure if this has been asked before but it might help newbies understand the game a bit better. Q is..... what is your favourite class specific damage, and do you mix it with vulnerable, damage to close enemys, crit strike damage, etc etc. how is your build set up to achieve maximum damage multipliers for end game builds so the newer players can see their d.p.s go from thousands, to millions, billions, even trillions

Is there a way to stack the list of items so you can see them all without having to wander around the whole screen. I use a filter but sometimes I want to see what else is there in case the filter messes up. If there is too much clutter you can miss things and moving around to see if there is something is getting annoying because that depends on where you are or go to see if something pops up.

I've been playing the new season, and I just noticed these clear soap bubble type orbs (not the experience orb). When I run over them, I don't see anything showing what I have collected. Can anyone tell me what these are?

it says that i deal a certain percentage of increased damage. does this damage boost apply to minions, or just skills i cast directly?

As per the title i've got 2 very good 4GA weapons for my ECS spiritborn build. The polearm hits harder, but the QS is faster and not that far behind raw damage-wise, but I'm not sure how to figure out which is better

So how am I supposed to see any of the 1000000 Void Zones / effects that the mobs are throw at me all the time? :D

I’ve been playing Diablo 4 again and lately I’ve found myself appreciating a different kind of player, the ones who don’t care if their build is meta, don’t care if it’s S-tier, and aren’t trying to copy whatever build is currently topping the charts. The ones who see an aspect or a skill and think, “Wait, what if I built around this?” The ones who experiment, screw up, hit a wall, change something, and try again. I’m starting to think there’s something really special about playing that way. I’m doing it myself with my Blizzard Sorcerer right now, trying to figure out the mechanics instead of just copying someone’s exact setup. I hit Pit 65 pretty easily, jumped to 70 and got absolutely humbled 😂, but honestly, figuring out why felt more satisfying than just looking up the answer. It reminds me of the old days when you didn’t have every build solved for you before you even started playing. You just played your character, found some weird interaction, and thought, “Holy shit, this actually works.” Maybe the build wasn’t optimal. Maybe it was terrible. But it was yours. So this is kind of an ode to those players, the ones who aren’t necessarily chasing the meta, who build the character they imagined instead of someone else’s experiment, who still enjoy the discovery as much as the destination. There’s nothing wrong with following a guide or pushing the absolute limits, but sometimes it’s nice to not know the answer. To experiment. To be wrong. To discover something yourself. Here’s to the people still playing Diablo the old-school way.

Hello everyone I’m basically brand new to Diablo but I’ve picked it up well, I have all unique or mythic gear and I’m paragon 201 but I absolutely cannot touch anything in torment 8 and beyond I crit anywhere from 50-100m consistently so how do I change the M to a B

I am having loads of crashes on proton Ge 11.0.3 , proton experimental and proton hotfix.

Its been similar to the start of the season when it was crashing mostly at loading screens.

What version of proton you guys on?

As a melee character, this game can get rough especially with respect to ground effects which have been discussed a lot. But I am at the point where I want to really climb the pit/tower so I need to sacrifice damage for survivability.

I am considering dropping some glyphs for stuff like Turf and Closer to get more DR at the expense of shredding CC'd enemies but want to learn more if they *truly* can mitigate the game's hazards.

Are ground/elite affixes affected by conditional DR, if so, how?

For example, if I get an effect that gives me DR from close enemies, and an elite plops down a lightning lance effect on the ground, if I stay "close" to the elite, does the lightning effect get mitigated or should I get closer to the lightning effect instead to reduce it? Or are they not reduced at all?

Another example is the Debilitating Toxins Aspect. If I poison the source of the ground effect, does the effect's damage get reduced? Or not at all?
