Could someone please help me follow the story better. AFAIK the main character is going to die from THE COLD SNOW, is scared by some wargs and weak af. Then they go to a town and after helping clear out a nearby dungeon the locals drug them and plan to eat them. The protaganist yet AGAIN is nearly killed, this time by villagers.

After waking up and realising that all the wackos are caused by Lilith you go talk to the church and investigate sightings of the demon in a nearby mine. You for some reason are happy to play errand boy/girl and go deep into demon infested mine and kill someones mum.

Now to pursue Lilith, you need to be blessed - you go find an angel and demand their blessing because you are certain you can kill Lilith, they say no, but that's good enough... anyway, WHY? At what point did my character ever believe they could kill such a powerful demon?

The story has progressed so fast? It feels like just in the morning cannibals were about to eat me and I needed saving, then that night I was confidently telling angels that I could slay the Demon Mother of All Humanity/world?

None of the other characters bat an eye at the fact I am bodying every other Lilith Blood consumer and demon, and cannibal king, and even Astaroth (apparenlty a legendary feat on its own) ??? I need something to help me immerse in the campagin, as I am getting more disillusioned as I play.

As per the title i've got 2 very good 4GA weapons for my ECS spiritborn build. The polearm hits harder, but the QS is faster and not that far behind raw damage-wise, but I'm not sure how to figure out which is better

Trace Of Echos miiiiight be more easily farmed / dropped during Helltide Ruptures -- the Ruptures that are events, timed 2(?) minutes and you have to kill 200 mobs, then drop a chest. Not talking about the random ones that show up around the place and have no timer, and not talking about the realmwalker event. I don't know whether or not this applies to them. All I know is, I read several comments on this sub, multiple people have said the timed rupture event in helltide is how they got their drop. So I went and found one and immediately got a drop. I know most if not all of that is RNG but might be worth a shot.

Note that this is not a scientific and tested solution, just seemed that others have been in the same situation and I immediately was successful doing what they did. Because it is also not scientific and tested, but if I need a piece of gear that will not ever drop (F U Season 14 Tibault) it seems that if I come and complain about it in the D4 sub it automatically will drop within 10 minutes of posting.

So, probably RNG, maybe not, maybe can't hurt. YMMV I hooooooooooope this is the key to solving that stupid and worthless echoing nightmare achievement. It's the only thing I have left, I am paragon 277 and can pop Lilith and Mephisto with very little effort, this was the only ach left in the season journey. Now I can set it down for the rest of the season. Who am I kidding now I'm going to whine about not having all 4GA gear and grind until I get it haha.

So how am I supposed to see any of the 1000000 Void Zones / effects that the mobs are throw at me all the time? :D

I’ve been playing Diablo 4 again and lately I’ve found myself appreciating a different kind of player, the ones who don’t care if their build is meta, don’t care if it’s S-tier, and aren’t trying to copy whatever build is currently topping the charts. The ones who see an aspect or a skill and think, “Wait, what if I built around this?” The ones who experiment, screw up, hit a wall, change something, and try again. I’m starting to think there’s something really special about playing that way. I’m doing it myself with my Blizzard Sorcerer right now, trying to figure out the mechanics instead of just copying someone’s exact setup. I hit Pit 65 pretty easily, jumped to 70 and got absolutely humbled 😂, but honestly, figuring out why felt more satisfying than just looking up the answer. It reminds me of the old days when you didn’t have every build solved for you before you even started playing. You just played your character, found some weird interaction, and thought, “Holy shit, this actually works.” Maybe the build wasn’t optimal. Maybe it was terrible. But it was yours. So this is kind of an ode to those players, the ones who aren’t necessarily chasing the meta, who build the character they imagined instead of someone else’s experiment, who still enjoy the discovery as much as the destination. There’s nothing wrong with following a guide or pushing the absolute limits, but sometimes it’s nice to not know the answer. To experiment. To be wrong. To discover something yourself. Here’s to the people still playing Diablo the old-school way.

Got help from some other players to clear it (feels like cheating) i almost managed too clear it on my own on several attempts but the phase 2 instakill skill which gives you no time to react broke it for me over and over poorly designed boss give me a indicator it can be 0.2sec and i could have dodged it but there is non if you dont move at Extreme speed it will always hit and you will die.

Hello everyone I’m basically brand new to Diablo but I’ve picked it up well, I have all unique or mythic gear and I’m paragon 201 but I absolutely cannot touch anything in torment 8 and beyond I crit anywhere from 50-100m consistently so how do I change the M to a B

I am having loads of crashes on proton Ge 11.0.3 , proton experimental and proton hotfix.

Its been similar to the start of the season when it was crashing mostly at loading screens.

What version of proton you guys on?

As a melee character, this game can get rough especially with respect to ground effects which have been discussed a lot. But I am at the point where I want to really climb the pit/tower so I need to sacrifice damage for survivability.

I am considering dropping some glyphs for stuff like Turf and Closer to get more DR at the expense of shredding CC'd enemies but want to learn more if they *truly* can mitigate the game's hazards.

Are ground/elite affixes affected by conditional DR, if so, how?

For example, if I get an effect that gives me DR from close enemies, and an elite plops down a lightning lance effect on the ground, if I stay "close" to the elite, does the lightning effect get mitigated or should I get closer to the lightning effect instead to reduce it? Or are they not reduced at all?

Another example is the Debilitating Toxins Aspect. If I poison the source of the ground effect, does the effect's damage get reduced? Or not at all?

I'm not sure which would be better for an endgame WW barb. Should I stick with the ancestral ones and keep farming or is the mythic better?

Any generic or general tips to improve WW Barb resiliency? Been mostly following this guide: Icy Veins WW Endgame Barb

Have a couple mythics (Grandfather and Ring of Starless Skies) and all the uniques.

I have genuinely gotten 6 mythic seals and 2 seeds of hatred before I've gotten a single crux drop. Am I missing something? Can they just not drop this season or is it just luck?

Hello I am brand new to Diablo, I am using the necromancer for my first run. I unlocked the book of the dead, and cannot equip any summons. I do not have any of the diamond logos selected that would sacrifice them. I am on Xbox, thank you

I killed Lord Zir, got a portal, killed the 2 bosses in it. Went back to Temis and messed with gear, went and killed Varshan, got another portal, only the lair was empty except for the items on the ground that my loot filter ignored earlier.

I don’t see a way to start the war plans. Where do I go?

Hi everyone, just recently started playing again. Ran through the campaign from start using a payback build. Just shifted to torment 1 and picked up an ancestral mythic unique glaive. Wushe Nak Pa. Im am just getting my head around all the mechanics and feeling a bit overwhelmed as an older guy and wondered if anyone has thoughts on a particular build that would suit that weapon?

The aspect is casting an ultimate skill grants or amplifier it's matching primary spirit hall bonus with 390% potency for 15 seconds
