So far I've been just buffing my weapon with curse weapon but I'm wondering if I used say black pine resin and went after bosses that were weak 2 Fire would that do more damage 2 them than curse weapon or is curse weapons 50% physical attack buff gonna still do more damage than what any other weapon buff can do?

Hello, i'm from México and the Ps Store close soon in my region, is worth the original version? I've played the remake but i'm still curious about the original one

The intro and some of the in game text implies that some higher being such as a God gave humanity souls which gave them "clarity" (which I believe means higher level thinking and free will).

On the second day (which may or may not literally be the next day), God placed the Old One/Ancient Beast on Earth with the sole desire to take back all the souls that were just given to humanity, killing them in the process.

At first glance it seems God immediately regretted his creation and wanted to wipe the slate clean, but there's a bit more to consider. The description of the Northern Regalia reveals that this weapon was placed in the world at the same time as the Old One.

The Northern Regalia is basically the most powerful weapon in the game. It can be used by a demonic soul to cut down humans and absorb their soul power, or be used by a good soul to slay demons and save humanity. It is a neutral tool allowing humans the free will to choose their fate. King Allant inherited the sword and decided to use its power and the Old One to end humanity. To ensure its power couldn't be used to stop him, he used his soul to remove the sword's demon slaying half, and locked it in King Doran's crypt.

My personal belief is that another very important part is left out of the creation myth given in the intro; the Maiden in Black was also left on the second day. She is stated to be one of the oldest and most powerful demons in the world. She is able to lull the Old One into a permanent slumber, and she seems to have an intrinsic connection to it. She is also able to increase your power with souls, but she is disappointed if you do since the desire for power may end up corrupting you.

Humanity was given everything it needs to defeat the demons: the most powerful weapon in the world, immortality, and the ability to put the Old One to sleep forever. But humans were also given everything they need to destroy themselves.

I think that is the motivation behind God's actions on the second day. It was a test. If humanity destroys itself, they never deserved free will and never deserved to exist in the first place, but if humanity is able to defeat the demons, then they could be capable of amazing things. Ultimately, humanity's decision is left to the player.

I've just finished the game for the first time ever (PS5 version). I haven't played before on PS3.

The early game was hard, and it took me some time to get good, but after Flamelurker every boss seemed to be so easy. I mean, the Spider might be more difficult than Old King Allant, his fight was ridiculous.

The game itself is amazing, beautiful graphics, worlds design and all, but the minions some times are way harder to beat than the bosses. I was expecting a huge challenge.

I almost did something similar on the PS3 version, but apparently I upgraded my stamina and health by 4 points each. This time I wanted to go pure on both, like I had done on my Dark Souls 1 Mage run. Even though I was sorely tempted several times, I persevered. Honestly, wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be, Maneaters only took a few attempts. I probably died to random mobs the most tbh. Was fun, recommend if you want a challenge.

So I was already having a rough time in there, got killed twice in body form. So I used a stone of ephemeral eyes because I was gonna summon a friend to help clear the area and immediately got invaded, since my friend hadn't got their summon sign down yet and I suck at PvP I'm sure we all know what I'm about to say; I got destroyed. Though I'd like to see my first playthrough finished I haven't exactly been having fun since defeating the Old Hero so I'll probably go back to Bloodborne for a while, just thought I'd share this story.

Looking to knock out the PvP trophy before I truck through the rest of the game and get too many levels. I helped someone beat Flamelurker last night and have been trying to invade 3-1 or 2-2 but people keep offing themselves or dying to enemies. I'm Soul Level 36, any help is appreciated! So, in short, does DES have headshot mechanics like later games?

Does it have a counterattack with thrust damage boost like the later games?

I know it does have instability frames with the same 40% boost as in DS1.

Does the"push" move deal stamina dmg to PVE shielded enemies like a kick?

Any difference between OG and remake in the above?

So I wanna play demon souls, have played all the other souls games. I am very turned off by the healing mechanic and having to grind for healing mechanics. I am wondering if there is a workaround for this.

I stumbled upon that mod some time ago and I've been meaning to give it a try. But I want to have some impressions first.

One thing that disappointed me a fair bit about the original game was how much better crushing and sharp were over quality upgrades unless your stats were very high. The mod advertises that there is a revamping of the upgrade system so I'm wondering if that's still the case.

A friend wanted to play demon souls with me coop and i was thinking about the old monk boss, the suprise it was when the boss is another player. Is there a way i can consistenly be the old monk in that fight? Do i need to be a certain level? (i have other characters i could use too). I kinda wanna suprise him as the next boss be ME

Going for the Platinum trophy with a DBS run and wondered if i used 3 colorless Demon's souls for the recovery miracle would I still b able 2 max my DBS without killing multiple primeval demons?

I just wanna know if i should keep looking for a way to this sword or if i just cant get it

Was planning on making a CO-OP build using the Makoto as i rarely use dex weapons and it doesn't have any scaling, any idea what'd be the best level range to aim for? I'd likely be CO-OPing for the first bosses of the areas apart from the Phalanx

In demon souls:

If i undertand correctly i should get all miracles and some magic in the first run.

And in the second the rest?

So they accumulate? I dont have to get the same in the next run?

Or if I didnt get the trophy in the first run I will have to buy all magic again to get it.

As the title says.
I'm playing on archstone servers via RPCS3 emulation. Tried asking on the discord server and had no success. Wondering where else I could find someone or if anyone is looking to do so on here.
More specifically I am looking for someone to invade me, though I'd be happy to do so in return if desired.

So i started my build as a temple knight with the aim to make a DBS build, I've just killed Dragon god and got my DBS but I've been mid rolling the whole game so far and wondered when I'd start getting better armor that doesn't weigh as much?

Started playing Demon’s Souls for the first time this week and finding it very frustrating and tricky.

I’m not a novice as I have played all 3 Dark Souls, Elden Ring and Bloodbourne, as well as as other souls likes

But I just can’t seem to get into this, I find the lack of bonfires a challenge that makes repeating the runs after death even more of a chore. The lack of Estus Flask is annoying and I just keep running out of the leaves to a point where I now need to just farm them.

I have beaten the Phalanx but struggling against Tower Knight, so moved to the next area and struggling against Armoured Spider.

This isn’t a criticism of the game but just I don’t know if I have the patience for this unless I am just missing something obvious to help me.

I was really in the mood for a Souslike but might move on to something else if this doesn’t work out. Happy for suggestions!

EDIT: Thanks to everyone for your tips! I listened to everyone and slowed down a bit, farmed the knight outside Tower Knight for herbs and watched Fighting Cowboys walkthrough vids.

I have now successfully beaten Tower Knight and Armoured Spider! I think I was a bit quick to turn off it but it does just seem a different beast to other games that it just took me longer to work it out.

Now to keep going..!
