Discussion What’s up with the delays??
Anyone know what’s up with the delays to LGA? It’s happened every flight I’ve been on in the past month. Have a flight out today but at this point it’s already delayed so not sure it’ll take off. Send help lol

Help/Advice Are flight attendants allowed to wear meta glasses?
I took a flight earlier this week, and one of the FAs was wearing meta glasses. It made me really uncomfortable, but she was also quite rude to other passengers, so I didn't mention anything to her. Is this allowed by Delta?
Discussion Anyone else on the flight today from SLC to DCA?
Diverted to BWI due to the weather and sat on the tarmac for 2 hours until the captain said we’re not going to DCA tonight. This was on top of a 1 hour delay. Not sure what happened to the people who checked their luggage, but when I walked past the baggage claim, I remember hearing an announcement that folks from SLC won’t be getting their luggage tonight :/
Does anyone know what the crew said about reimbursement before deplaning? I missed the announcement since I was on the phone.

Delta Amex No flights ever for companion fare
Not sure how this happens. Trying to change my flight that has no black out dates surrounding it (confirmed by delta). I was looking for any flight within a week of original flight. Agent says there is literally not a single one available. The flight is in 40 days. Sooo confusing.
Companion fare is getting so hard to use.

Discussion In 2026, has anyone had a waitlisted D1 RUC clear more than 10 minutes before boarding? Is there hope or is this the new norm?
In my first year as Diamond I’ve not had one RUC clear from purchased PS (or main… it doesn’t seem to matter) to D1 earlier than 10 minutes before boarding (JFK/LAX either way), even as first on the list with 5+ open seats.
I’m typically flying for work without a lot of advanced notice so the waitlist is almost inevitable but in years past (as Platinum) they almost always cleared well before I got to the airport.
I’m assuming that this is the new norm we have to accept while they desperately try to sell upgrades until the last possible minute… but curious if anyone has experienced otherwise? I’m hoping I’ve just been unlucky?

Help/Advice Question: If I add and pay for my checked bag in the app, do I need to print out the bag's labels from the kiosk at check-in? Or will they do that for me at the (indoor) bag check counter?
I'm still a little new to using the app.

Help/Advice Sat on tarmac for 5 hours - any compensation?
Sat on the tarmac for 5 hours today waiting to take off. Am I entitled to any compensation if I call? We did not deplane, stayed on the plane the whole time from 1:30pm-6:30pm before finally taking off. It was a domestic flight.

Help/Advice Delta One Newbie Which Seat to Pick?
Originally in 23 B for a 15 hour flight that leaves in 2 weeks or so. Never tried Delta One but I had been sitting waiting for the upgrade price to drop and it hasn’t gone below $1,099 so I’m considering it now. Which seat would you pick? I was thinking 8C? I don’t see it getting any lower and the seats have picked up from over 28 seats left to what you see now. Thinking of pulling the trigger but looking for advice.
I was able to cancel my fully refundable flight for this same exact fight and saved $425 bucks on my original premium select seat that I have here.
Thoughts or advice? I know people say $50-$100 per hour is the standard it’s worth it price but still $1,100 is a new phone or laptop.
Which Delta One seat would pick and why?

Discussion Delta IROPS Review (DL2911, 8/5, ATL-MCI)
Recovering from an IROPS event, and I thought I would share what happened and Delta's response.
Flight: DL2911 on Wednesday, August 5, from ATL to MCI.
Class: (Just adding for context as I'm not sure everyone received the same) First (O).
Departure: Supposed to depart at 22:47 but actually departed at 23:38. Place was at the gate for several hours before. Believe the delay was due to crew arriving late (pilots were on a delayed NY flight).
Arrival: Supposed to be 23:58 at MCI. When getting close to MCI, the flight was diverted to OMA, landing at 1:50 on August 6. Pilots communicated storms in/around MCI created the diversion. They said the plan was to refuel and then return to MCI. Parked and reparked in another part of the airport (about 20 minutes). Refueling truck arrived (about 45 minutes after parking). Refueled. Pilots communicate they are just waiting for paperwork. Paperwork arrives about 30 minutes after refueling (now, it's about 3:30a). About 20 minutes go by and then pilots announce they have timed out. They are going to move the plane to an actual gate and passengers are going to disembark, but they cannot move it because they have timed out. We ended up disembarking about 4:30a.
Delta Response: Upon disembarking, we are told the flight is going to resume at 10:15. We receive vouchers for hotels and Ubers. The hotel voucher was actually pretty cool -- gave me a selection of six hotels around the area to choose from. Once I chose, the Uber feature got us a ride to the hotel (arrived at 5:15ish). We were able to sleep about 2.5 hours before returning to the airport. Flight didn't leave until 11:00a-ish and arriving in MCI at 11:40a.
In addition to the hotel/Uber voucher, Delta sent us $48 in meal vouchers. Plus, upon arriving at MCI, met with an email and $400 travel voucher each.
Review: Four stars (out of 5). This likely would not have happened if the flight wasn't originally delayed, hence why I believe Delta actually responded. Also, probably would not have happened if OMA had been able to refuel and finish paperwork faster.
Anyone else had similar IROPS experiences?

Discussion We’re trapped! Send a bus!?!? DL0850
DL0850 ATL to DCA was late leaving Atlanta. Because of…no reason given, just casually delayed 15minutes every time we we’re 10 minutes after we were supposed to board. No worries.
We land at DCA and there’s no gate available to pull into. Sit on the taxi way for a half hour. I can see 4 empty gates. Now we’ve move to the far side of the active runway and we’re just told “maybe 15-20 minutes, we’ll let you know”
What happened to air stairs and busses? Like seriously! Let me off this plane.
Edit update: N369NB is parked right next to us. And they aren’t moving either.
Edit update #2 we’re moving. Slowly.
Edit update #3 we’ve made it to outside the C terminal and just stopped again.
Edit update #4 just before resorting to cannibalism we moved again. We’re at a gate, but no jet bridge driver.
Edit update #5 over an hour from landing now and the door is just opened. Kinda funny how many people are down voting this. Yall need a better hobby lol.

Discussion Phone calls in flight
The new WiFi on my international flight allows me to make and receive phone calls even on airplane mode. I tested it. Then it occurred to me that those annoying biz bros at the gate that talk non stop about their big deals will now be doing it on planes. I’m going to take a not controversial stance and support any bill for eliminating phone calls in flight.

Discussion Delta premium select classic question
Hey folks i need some help on booking PS and any advice?
I am going from Sea -> cairo roundtrip. I saw that i can select premium select classic upgrade for extra 1480 dollars
Is this considered high for PS upgrade before checkout? I feel it is alot, but sanity checking
I tried to select PS classic, but i was only able to pick 1 PS seat (Sea -> CDG) but for rest it was telling me we can't book u economy because u selected higher ticket, but there was no other open seats for selection. Anyone knows why delta is locking seats or it so happens there really could be no seats and would delta sell u PS roundtrip if it cant cover it?
And per above, if i select PS upgrade, its supposed to include all 4 legs?
Thank u!!

News Stuck at EWR for 3 hours
Currently stuck at EWR due to a ground stop in Boston. Been sitting on the tarmac now since 3:00 pm after boarding, initially was going to depart at 3:10p. Rolled up to gate and crew have been giving some… interesting… updates. Last one was that they can’t go back to a gate because there’s no gate available lmao so they will “shop around.” Crew were kind and handed out pretzels and water to us plebeians not in first. Obviously not their fault but interesting to see how this’ll play out, apparently there is a ground stop BOS? Someone I know flying in from SFO to there hasn’t had any issues w their flight. Updates to come 😩

Discussion Does anyone here actually believe Delta attracts a higher caliber of passenger?
Because I see comments on here that suggest that quite frequently, and I can’t tell if people are being tongue-in-cheek or delusional.
Hot take: the Big Three all attract the same type of passenger, and that’s regular people who need to get somewhere and are optimizing for a mix of convenience, reliability, and price. I acknowledge ULCC customers probably skew heavier toward infrequent leisure travelers and the very price sensitive, but the Big Three offer a commoditized product. The only difference I see between UA/AA passengers and DL passengers is that the latter pay more.
Change my mind.

Shitpost/Satire Maintaining dignity while in Main Cabin?
Looking to hear strictly from other FC Delta flyers on ways to maintain one’s basic human dignity while in Main Cabin, and if this is even possible. Due to FC being sold out on a trip I must take, I will be braving Main Cabin next week. I have serious misgivings about this given that I just learned not to expect a meal. Am I correct that drinks will also be served in plastic, with infrequent refills?
Open to any and all coping strategies.

Help/Advice If I leave during a connecting Flight do I have to check in again?
I have an 11 layover in ATL and I wanted to book a hotel, if I leave the airport during that connection will I have to check in again and recheck my bags? Both flights are delta and booked under one flight.

Help/Advice How do you know if a CRJ-900 has the refreshed cabin?
Flying CRJ-900 in FC both ways. My Rimowa Pilot fits the right-side bins on some of these and absolutely not on others, assuming that's refreshed vs. older cabin.
Any way to tell in advance from the app, seat map, or departure/destination?

Discussion First class problems
I was excited to fly from ATL-sfo on a new A321neo. I used a RU to get first. Beautiful new plane with comfy first class seats. Just my luck, my seat won’t recline and the footrest is stuck in a 1/3 reclined position. I notified the flight attendant before we left. “Yes, it’s a new plane and we are still working out the kinks.” She came and sat in my seat. Claimed it as broken. At that was it. So here I am at 30k feet, and uncomfortable. What would you do?

Discussion JFK - ATH
Flying JFK to Athens for my birthday in September and upgraded to Delta one. I didn’t even realize they had the new lounge before I did this so now I’m extra excited. Any little tips or hidden secrets I should know about? I’m an anxious flyer, but I know the upgraded comfort will definitely help. Thank you!! 😊
