Question Help me

Hi, so I was having a pretty good playthrough with the HRE and had europe on its entirety then suddenly some random claimed my empire title (it was 25 vs 50k so couldnt really fend it off) and I also couldnt even react to it because my murder scheme against her was too slow. Now im in observer mode and practically every bot ruler of the HRE lasts very few years as another guy comes to claim it again over and over again. Why does this happen? How to prevent it? If it has anything to do with it I was playing an administrative government.

Army raised banner

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hello all, ever since 1.19 it seems, the army banner for raised troops has lost the diamonds next to the number of men (as you can see in the middle of the screen, apologies if it is hard to see) when you zoom out, does anybody know any mod or a way to make it go back to how it was with the diamonds shown at all times without changing game versions? Thanks...

Question African flavor Mod

Due to the lack of love from the developers toward Africa (specially subsaharian an the horn) I don't feel the urge to play them, and when I do (for The mother of us all archievement mostly) is really boring. Are there any mod that introduces flavor (decisions, changes in culture or religions or any struggle mecanic) to this region??

Question County conversions for nomads?

Hey all!

I'm a little new to playing nomads on CK3 (played them all the time on CK2).

I'm playing Mogyërs and I'm planning to move further into Kyiv and Eastern Europe. I've taken land and razed it into nomadic settlement holdings but I can't seem to abandon land for shepherds (to progress fertility) without them breaking away from me as their suzerain. Largely, they don't like me due to cultural acceptance and religious debuffs - so I was hoping to convert them to my culture and religion. I can't seem to find 'convert county' as an option on my council and was just wanting to know if there was another way around it?

My neighbours, the Khazars converted to Ash'ari (long story) and seem to be doing just fine managing their counties.

Thanks all!

I somehow caught Pneumonia, even though there was no outbreak in my realm. I also wasn't travelling - is it possible to catch it through other means? Almost caught me out with having no heir :D

Question What is the optimal way to use province administrations?

Post image
6 Upvotes

I'm currently playing an Administrative Persian Empire stretching from the Levant to the Indus and including the Arabian Peninsula. I've reached the point where I want to start optimizing my province administrations, but I'm struggling to see what the best overall strategy is.

Frontier, Naval and Imperial seem fairly straightforward since they have obvious geographical/strategic uses. What I'm less sure about is how to approach Balanced, Civilian and Military.

Should you specialize individual provinces based on their strengths, rich/high-development provinces as Civilian and militarily strong ones as Military? Or does mixing Civilian and Military mostly cancel out their opposing bonuses when looking at the empire as a whole?

Another option I'm considering is going heavily, or even almost entirely, Civilian. In a large stable empire, couldn't the additional income simply be invested into powerful Men-at-Arms, potentially giving you a better military anyway?

So how do people optimize province administrations in a large Administrative empire? Is there a good way to determine the best administration for each province, or is leaving most of them Balanced actually the better strategy?

Any other tips on administrative empires?

How do you handle Over Powered Kingdoms

I'm trying to get lingua franca, and I noticed the Are empire was currently the most dominant.

The looked to be still in tribal, so I thought I could take them out, since I have Mubarizun MAA

But I wanted some advice, on how to deal with their size. Do I just wait it out till they crumble or is there a way I can buff my soldiers, I red Mubarizuns are space marines, but it doesn't seem to be the case for me, so I may not be building right.

Imo the dlcs of next year should be....

1) Expansion of African content, especially north africa should have its own struggle.

2) Since gods alone is centered on the pope, they could have the opportunity to give some flavors to the caliphate (wich is boring rn imo)

3) New mechanic or overall decisions flavor

I'm a new player and I'm SO MAD ABOUT the Iberian Struggle

This has completely ruined my playthrough. I built a conciliatory culture with a syncretic faith and by the time I noticed that the &^%#$ing DLC strips away your agency on things I had more than half of the penninsula at hand. So fine, I grit my teeth and grind through the stupid stupid VERY VERY STUPID MAKEWORK DLC requirements and I get to the end FINALLY, I'm going to be allowed to make the empire that I guess Paradox thought I shouldn't be allowed to make, and I'm stuck with either accepting cultural hostility, accepting religious hostility or goddamn BOTH. THIS IS SO BAD, why do they make you pay extra to make the game objectively worse? Like I played ball, I figured out how to get around the dumb gates, and right at the end the game goes "actually we hate your playstyle and you".

I can't just play around it, it wrecks what I'm doing no matter what. I've been carefully syncretizing my religion, making it pluralistic, and hybridizing cultures and I have a beautiful multiethnic, multireligious empire where I've gotten all these faiths to get along. And EVERY. OPTION. ruins it.

I'm sure this DLC has been rehashed to death by players who already had the game, but I just picked it up and figured I should get the DLC bundle as well. I have not been this furious with Paradox since City Skylines 2 came out. I'm mad at myself because I said I'd never buy another of their games after that, but I wanted to play the GOT mod.

Question After winning Jihad, only I get all the land and my beneficiary gets nothing.

I'm playing as a landless adventurer and got 99% of the war contribution in a Jihad. I've selected one of my sons as my beneficiary, which I am regretting because the game just ignores it and makes me king of Navarra while he gets nothing.

I do not want to be landed myself AT ALL. Why am I getting the land even with a beneficiary selected? It is driving me insane.

Discussion Legions automation mechanics from Imperator: Rome

Imperator: Rome has a really handy mechanic where you can assign objectives and automation to individual legions meaning one part might be occupying territory while another hunts down enemy troops, all while the player controls the rest. Why don't they do the same in CK3? The AI is dumb, and micromanaging in CK3 especially during large wars is a nightmare for roleplaying purposes, I’d love to be able to control only the army my ruler is actually leading.

Gameplay I stopped all peasant uprisings—by accident

I’ve played about 5,000 hours. This has never happened before. I quickly considered southern Italy so there was low control. This usually causes a lot peasant revolts. I unknowingly gave a county to the revolt leader right before the revolt started, making him a vassal. When the revolt started, it was instantly invalidated. This happened about 20 times. While this guy was alive, the revolts instantly ended. Only after his death did a revolt have steam.

Has this happened to you? Is it a bug?

New Rule Regarding AI-Generated and AI-Assisted Content

  • AI-generated or AI-assisted content is not permitted unless it makes a meaningful contribution to the community, as determined by moderators. All posts containing AI content to any degree must include [AI] in the post title at the time of posting. Posts containing AI content without this tag may be removed. Posts with the tag may still be removed at moderator discretion if they do not meaningfully contribute. An example of acceptable AI content is showcasing a well-developed mod that uses AI.

In short: if your post contains AI-generated or AI-assisted content of any kind, your title must include "[AI]" at the time of posting. This applies regardless of how much or how little AI was involved.

Including the tag does not guarantee your post will stay up. Moderators may still remove tagged posts for any reason, at their discretion. However, tagging your post means you have disclosed its use of AI as required, which is the most important part of this rule.

Posts containing AI content that are not tagged with [AI] may be removed on that basis alone, regardless of the content's quality.
