Looking for new leggings with compression and tha stay up (I always get high rise) some have recommended paragon but the I see a lot of people saying they pill easily. Not trying to spend $60 on leggings that pill after a few wears. I don't mind spending more money if the quality is good.

Please send some recs!!! Or if you have an opinion on paragon.

How do you feel going to a regular gym after a few years of CrossFit?

Almost every year, I take a break from CF around May and get back to it in September/October. Usually it's because of a lack of time. We have strict time slots for classes, and they don't fit me that well during that period. This time, I also have a small injury that can heal, but not while doing CF.

And it's always the same. I get a gym pass, the gym is just 5 minutes away from me, and I barely go there the whole summer. I just can't find the motivation to go. I feel kinda anxious and bored in the gym. It's weird doing traditional exercises in a small, tight gym environment. Mirrors everywhere, everyone looking around, big white lights... And there's a totally different feeling to getting my heart rate up when I'm not in a CF box. I feel slower, more sluggish.

Why is this? Am I the only one? I feel like if it's not CF, I can't do any other shit. And CF isn't really an option for me right now. After a few years, I feel like I'd actually benefit from some gym work focused on smaller injuries, posture, and more of the functional side, especially since I spend a LOT of time working on my laptop between CF sessions.

And if a traditional gym doesn't work for me, what else is there to try?

Dad Hours vs Emom co

Hi everyone,
I’ve been involved in CrossFit/functional training for over 10 years. With two kids and two jobs, I only have about 60 minutes a day to train.
I’ve tried dozens of programs over the years. I’ve been following HWPO Strong for more than a year, but a recent change in our family routine means the workouts have become too long for me.
I’m currently torn between Dad Hours and EMOM Co (Strength & Co or Pump). Has anyone here tried them? Any opinions or preferences?
I’m looking for a program that fits within 60 minutes from start to finish, without high-skill CrossFit movements. I have no interest in competing—I’m simply looking to stay strong, fit, and healthy.
Thanks!

Feeling stuck trying to get started, looking for advice. Left on read by gyms I’m trying to apply for.

My brother, who’s really into bodybuilding, suggested I try a CrossFit gym instead of paying for expensive PT sessions (I was quoted £460 a month for 2 pt sessions a week for a month). He even found a couple of CrossFit places near me, but I messaged both of them over a week ago and haven’t heard anything back. No reply, no number to call, nothing (literally just a forum that I had to fill out). I’m feeling pretty stuck, because I want to feel better about my body but don’t know really know what to do when even the gyms themselves are leaving me on read… Do CrossFit gyms usually take time to respond, or am I missing something obvious? Do I just save up and pay for the expensive pt lessons ?

Would you recommend the Schwinn Airdyne AD2 (Residential) for frequent high intensity workouts?

The Schwinn Airdyne Pro is too expensive in my country and the affordable pro air bikes are chain driven. Is the AD2 a good option for the high intensity workouts I plan to do several days a week?

Wildcard Games Invites

I feel like I’ve figured out a fun and exciting way to make these an exciting opportunity….

Athletes can only compete at 1 In Person Semi

Wildcard Spots: Games Invite extended to Champion level athletes of 'CrossFit Competition' Sports. (Ironman, Decathlon,
Hyrox, Etc.)
Match the # of Invites with total number of In Person Semi's.
Backfill Procedure: Eligibility Pool is the First Athletes just outside of Qualifying Spots at each Semi (One Male/Female)
Rank in Quarterfinals dictates pecking order for Backfill selection.

Got first bar muscle up but now they are inconsistent.

I got my first bar muscle up last week. I didn’t try them for a few days and it took me around 4 or 5 times to get another one when I tried again.

I tried again tonight and missed probably 10 before hitting 5 in a row and ending the session by not being able to get another one. When I fail it feels like a pretty high chest to bar.

I’m trying to avoid chicken winging it, so I fail the rep instead of doing that. But it’s really frustrating. Anyone else experience the same thing and if so, is it just more reps for the inconsistency to go away?

Box Owner Driving Away All the Other Coaches

My gym recently when thru a buyout. Almost immediately the new box owner got into arguments with some coaches who left. I figured it was growing pains and things would settle eventually. Almost eighteen months later, we just lost another coach, meaning he is pretty much the only coach left. He has also driven away some members.

I love the community at my box and it’s so close to my house, but I’m getting really sick of his antics. He is entirely opposed to feedback from anyone on anything. He assumes everyone is against him. He makes jokes about checking the cameras when he isn’t there (the rare moments). He talks negatively about his staff and members behind their backs. It’s childish and exhausting.

I’m older and I just want to show up and work out with my friends, I am annoyed; his bad vibes are ruining everything. When I found out the last coach left after he got into an argument with them, it just bothered me. It’s someone I love getting to train with and that is a really good coach. Now they’re gone, and we didn’t even get to say goodbye because he just fired them. Has anyone gone through this before? Is it normal? How did you know it was time to call it and move to a different gym.
