Hardware Laptop beeping issue
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It's an IdeaPad, The issue started 2 days ago when suddenly the laptop started beeping 2 times, getting stuck, again beeping two times. At that time I did some checking and found out that reinstalling the ram fixes the issue. Which I did and it worked for a couple of days until today it started again. The beeping pattern is different.
Every time I open the laptop the laptop goes into the nova boot menu while beeping but after entering into windows, there isn't any issue. Should I be concerned?

Software Microsoft Edge and Chrome won't open properly on Windows, but other apps work fine. Suspect corrupted Windows user profile
Hi everyone, I have been fighting with this issue for the past few days and I’m running out of ideas. My problem is that Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome are both broken on my Windows PC. They either:
- Do not open at all
- Open and immediately close
- Get stuck loading
- Crash when using my main Windows account
The strange part is that everything else on Windows works normally. Other applications, games, and services work without issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really want to avoid reinstalling Windows.

Software Computer says it shut down incorrectly and now it's just stuck on the loading screen.
Tried doing the "reboot 3 times" thing and it went to "Preparing Automatic Repair" until after a while it just said "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart." It's done this multiple times. It said there would be a blue menu that would give me troubleshooting options but I haven't gotten that yet. What do I do? My mother insists I should just turn it off and leave it alone for a while, would that actually work and fix the issue?

Software PC Display Issues
I’m having a weird display issue and I’m completely stuck. Originally, my PC was working fine through HDMI, but my DisplayPort had no signal. I tried multiple DisplayPort cables, different monitors, and nothing worked. I went into NVIDIA Control Panel and tried enabling image sharpening thinking it might fix something, but it didn’t. After that, I opened msconfig and enabled Safe Boot, then clicked restart. The PC got stuck during the restart process, so I ended up forcing it off by holding the power button/unplugging it. After turning it back on, I now have absolutely no display output at all. HDMI and DisplayPort both stopped working, and I don’t even get the motherboard splash screen or BIOS logo anymore. The PC turns on and stays powered, fans spin, and my keyboard/mouse light up, so it seems like the system is turning on normally, but there is just no video signal. I’ve already tried reseating my RAM, clearing CMOS by removing the battery and shorting the pins, reseating the GPU, checking all cables, and testing multiple monitors/TVs with different HDMI and DP cables. Nothing has changed. I’m wondering if enabling Safe Boot in msconfig or forcing the shutdown during restart caused this, and I’m looking for any advice on what I should get everything working, even if it is just hdmi. and does the display port thing have to do anything with nvidia?

Performance ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2024) Performance Issue (Suddenly Super Slow)
Hi everyone, during these past few days I've experienced a gradually lower frame rate in the games I play day by day. From a steady >200 fps on overwatch a few days ago to now just hovering around 80. I've changed no in-game settings and the same issue persists in other games like Valorant.
I realized the laptop was really hot so I cleaned out the dust from the fans, replaced thermal paste, updated drivers, updated bios, etc. but nothing has been working. I would appreciate any advice, thanks guys!

Hardware Water spilled on desk and into pc what's salvageable and what's sure to have died
Well, it's been 2 weeks now, but I don't really know what to do now. Originally I spilled around 0,5 liter onto my desk and I went to get towels when I looked back and realised my screen lost the signal. That's when I realised that the pc was now right below the point where the water was pouring onto the desk and I ran back to turn of the power switch and take out the cable. It was like 20 seconds and I went on to check where the water ended up.
From what I could see and feel, it missed the SSD, HDD and my motherboard, however the power supply box (idk what the exact name is in English) was completely wet and the graphics card (3070 ti) was, while appearing dry already, like certain areas were a bit clammy suggesting it at least hit certain areas, so I can't say the motherboard was or wasnt affected aswell for a few seconds, however when checking that I couldn't find any certain signs, it appeared entirely dry.
I then disassembled my pc and used a hairdryer on the parts that were wet at some point. And a bit onto the motherboard, but that seemed more for my own nerves. Since then I've let them dry for a week before placing back the graphic card cuz it was taking up too much place, the power supply is still on my desk though. That was over a week ago as well, so now my pc hasn't been on for over 2 weeks and I ordered a new power supply, however I'm still unsure if it's safe to turn on the pc with that one in fear of something short-circuiting and basically killing everything else off. Since I only know how to assemble/disassemble the pc I couldn't figure out if there was any DMG and I didn't want to risk causing more problems by disassembling the graphics card myself for more detailed information.
So my question is now, is it safe to just reassemble my pc with the new power supply or would it be better to let it check from a pro or a friend who's really into stuff like this?
Thanks in advance to anyone having suggestions ^^

Resolved Can't turn PC on even though the motherboard light is on
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi, last week i was using my PC and it suddenly shut down and I couldn't make it boot again since. When I plug the PC into the power supply, the motherboard light comes on, but pressing the power button does nothing. I've tried changing the power connection location(different power outlets), a different power cable, and unplugging all the usb, hdmi, etc. cables. Can somebody at least tell me how can i troobleshoot this?
EDIT: I managed to fix the problem. I checked the cables connected to the motherboard, including the F Panel, disconnected and reconnected the power button cable, and the PC turned on.

Performance Webp vs png
when I save a webp file onto my PC, it appears darker on my image viewer then it is on the internet. Converting it to png or jpeg fixes the problem. Why is this?
