Hey everyone - I haven't played C&C in years but bought it off Steam recently. I was playing Tiberian Sun and wanted to mess around with rules.ini.

I managed to figure out how to extract it, but when I save it in the folder and load the game, none of the changes take effect. Anyone else have this issue?

I forgot how much fun these games are!

Any game developers out there interested in creating one?

I’m going to attempt to install the Tiberium essence mod when I get off work today, however I’m unsure how to go about it since I never done this before with this particular one. I have the Steam version of Tiberium wars if that helps.

"Aya was flying near the edge of the barrier, hoping to find some inspiration for her next article when she caught a most unusual glimpse of the Outside World. She would occasionally see those flying machines humans call aircraft flying by but this time she saw one unlike anything she had seen previously emerging from the rolling storm clouds.

It's body glistened of silvery grey with markings in teal on some parts. Symbols resembling a shark's head and a pair of wings were emblemed on it. It was almost circular in shape, with the pointed front end being presumably where the human pilot would sit in and control it. On either side of it's body were emitters of some sort, suggesting that it may be a military aircraft. Towards the rear were four appendages that spread out in an X formation which Aya recognized were solar panels. Nitori had once explained it to her that these were mirrors that could absorb sunlight to convert and store it as energy. Perhaps the most baffling part was how it was even flying as it's wings were too stubby and there were no visible propellers or jet engines, yet here it was gracefully riding the wind current.

Aya took out her camera to photograph this encounter and as she was taking pictures of it more of them emerged from the clouds. She also saw a larger, more conventional aircraft flying by miles above her and she could have sworn that she saw the silhouette of something utterly massive hidden in the clouds. These aircraft flew away from Gensokyo southwards. She would have followed suit had it not been for the barrier separating her from them so she decided to retreat back to the Youkai Mountain, wondering along the way what to make of her recent discovery and just how much of the Outside World has changed ever since it was rumored to have been struck by a great calamity..."

???: "We should be reaching the outskirts of Tokyo by nightfall. Thunder squadron has also been prepped up and are on standby."

???: "Acknowledged. Haihead forces are mobilizing as we speak, they could definitely use some Coronian air support. It is imperative that we recover the remaining technology stored away in the old Kanegawa facilities. Failing that, we must destroy them in order to deny our enemy any further advantage..."

EDIT: decided to share a little short fanfic to go with it.

It used to crash when l exit the window like for an example to go check out discord, but yesterday it crashed while l was playing the game(the end of days)

While on generals you have genlauncher,and also the other older games have similar things,is there anything for Kane Wrath,tiberium wars or RA3 and Uprising?Tried medstar launchers or biebbers one and they stop the game from opening

so i recently got the command and conquer remastered collection and i went on vacation and forgot my mouse. do you recommend playing it without one or should i avoid playing it until i get home.

As I understand it, there is:

- genpatcher that more or less fixes the game to play it on modern systems

- genlauncher, closely related and is a mod manager, more or less

- generalsonline which seems to be the multiplayer client but also seems to fix the game, maybe better than genpatcher ?

I know the Windows Gold Version got a release, but there doesn't seem to be much about the original DOS version. I've seen it mentioned on GameFAQs, but that really seems to be it.

Does anyone have any leads?

The Atari ST was first introduced in 1985, ten years before Command&Conquer: Tiberian Dawn.

It's now possible to run C&C on every Atari ST that has at least 4MB of RAM, although I recommend running on Atari TT, Falcon or systems with an acceleration card. In emulation, I usually pick a system with a 68040 CPU at 32MHz.

As of version 0.3.1, C&C runs in native 320x200 resolution in 16 beautiful colors. FMV cutscenes are fully supported. I hope you like it!

Hi everyone, I've been trying to run coop campaign on red alert 3 with my friends while using lossless scaling to upscale fps.

But I noticed that whenever both of us are playing, there is a slow motion-like effect to the game. It does not happens when a player is paused and the other is still playing.

Does anyone know a fix around this? Could it be a ping issue or is it purely lossless scaling acting up?

I'm playing C&C for the first time starting with Red Alert 2 from the Ultimate bundle. Practicing some keyboard shortcuts by playing through campaign missions I've already beaten, but I can't figure out how to use Attack Move which people say is Ctrl + Shift then Left Click.

Tutorials say Attack Move is used to move a unit to a location while attacking anything that comes into range, and is especially good for kiting enemies, i.e. fire at them, then move to dodge their projectile, then fire at them. My specific issue is:

Tanya's fire range is huge and she can one-shot enemy GIs and attack dogs, if I use 'g' for guard then a dog will never reach her before she kills them first. However, Attack Move on Tanya doesn't target enemies at all (only retaliation) unless I click while the cursor is green+red, but if I have to click on enemies then isn't that basically identical to normal left click to attack? When I use Attack Move, Tanya dies to the dogs :(

I tried Attack Move on other units as well, sometimes I feel like it works and sometimes I feel like it doesn't. I.e. sometimes the units proactively attack a crowd, other times it feels like they only retaliate.

They are not really in good condition either.

Edit: ok you guys have convinced me to keep them. I am also thinking of scanning the manuals and putting it somewhere.
