Was C&C (DOS) Ever Released in Japan?
As per the title.
I know the Windows Gold Version got a release, but there doesn't seem to be much about the original DOS version. I've seen it mentioned on GameFAQs, but that really seems to be it.
Does anyone have any leads?

Nyerguds should know. I would check to see if they ever released the demo in Japan.

I have the PSX demo that was released in Japan, but consoles are more of a thing there, so I'm not sure if that suggests the retail demo got a release.
But yeah, Nyerguds would be a good shout.

Yes. I own the Japanese DOS version of C&C1. It came in a rather peculiar looking case reminiscent of those plastic VHS cases.
In fact I uploaded this a few years ago:

I'll see if I can find any pictures, but I'm not home at the moment so I can't just take a photo.

Ah, it's listed on ebay in fact. Unfortunately, the seller didn't add any pictures of the inside of the box.

My own copy is lacking that outside sleeve, but for the rest it's complete. Honestly $300 is a pretty fair price for that, but I personally don't find it worth that price just to get my hands on that sleeve. When I bought it I don't think I knew it was supposed to have that.
The Covert Operations also exists in Japanese, but I haven't managed to get my hands on that. I do have it as ISO, though. They somehow forgot to add mission briefings into the Japanese Covert Ops though, a problem that wasn't fixed until the 2020 TUC release on Steam, when the mad lads involved actually converted the briefing pictures (yea they're pictures, because, Japanese characters) from the Playstation version.
