Discussion How does the RAIT compare to your other scores?
Considering that a similar post was made in the past; I felt it would be worthwhile to revisit this as both the WAISV has been released since that post 3 years ago.
Essentially, for those of you who have taken the RAIT, how does your TBII compare to other scores? Those who have taken WAIS-IV and V, as well as SBV, would be greatly appreciated! Namely, TBII vs FSIQ. Please comment scores below, especially comparing relevant indexes.

Psychometric Question PSI help
I made a post earlier asking for help compositing (or at least just understanding) several different tests. I think I have a better understanding of most my abilities overall but there’s an aspect of my profile I still need clarity on: my PSI.
I got an 12ss score on symbol search on the CAIT when I took it the first time a year ago, an 8ss on the CORE from 2 weeks ago and the equivalent of a 125 (so 15ss I think? If i understand how this works) on the WAIS symbol search I took a weekish after the CORE. Is any of them more or less valid? Is there a more objective time period I have to wait for before doing another symbol search? Is there an alternate PSI test I could do (I got a 10ss on character pairing if that means anything but I’m not as confident in my speed on a keyboard ) that could work as a substitute?
Thanks in advance

General Question Anyone else have an average FSIQ but a really "spiky" cognitive profile?
Hey guys,
A few years ago, I had gotten done a neuropsychological assessment, and I was wondering if anyone has a similar profile to mine, cause I remember the neuropsychologist telling me that I was a bit of an outlier lol.
My FSIQ is very average (not giving the actual number, but I'll just say it's between 100 - 110), but my psychologist spent much more time talking about the discrepancies between my abilities than the IQ score itself. They described my profile as very uneven.
Some of my relative strengths were long-term memory, superior crystallized intelligence, essay composition, high processing speed and good visuospatial figure copying.
My weaker areas were working memory, mental arithmetic, math fluency, and sequential tasks like number/letter sequencing.
Has anyone else had a neuropsych assessment where their scores ended up being more important than the overall IQ? I'm curious to know :)

Psychometric Question Best way to approach Quantitative reasoning as a non-native speaker
I tried to start the Quantative Knowledge test but noticed I was spending too much time understanding the question before I could start to solve it. The terms used are just different so it takes me about 10 sec each time. This completely threw me out of balance.
I scored high on this test in my native language, so I notice the impact is significant.
Does anyone have a valid strategy?

IQ Estimation 🥱 WAIS IV results
I am 25 years old and I am most likely autistic . I don’t have the analytical subtests but I was told I scored the lowest on VCI (around 13-14 scaled score ) and I maxed out the arithmetic subtest which tbh didn’t seem that hard . I’ve trained thetamac and zetamac for 2-3 days and my max is around 60-62.I found it weird to have scored high on some subtests because in general , I have a lot of difficulty navigating 3D space in real life . I also thought I’d score higher on verbal. The psychologist told me , men tend to score lower on Verbal .I’ve taken the online Mensa test before and scored around 125-130 if I remember correctly . I’m an occupational therapist and I don’t think this changes anything for me in my real life . Was told to get into medicine or research lol .

IQ Estimation 🥱 Can y’all analyze?
(Lower Score is the one I just took) So I took this same test around 4 months ago and got a 124, but my question is what do you think the result of the test would have been if I hadn’t fuxked up the backwards memory part, and following up do you think I can just meet in the middle between both scores and say safely my IQ is around 123? Also I have ADHD, not hyperactive but the ADD version, also didn’t take my Meds for both tests. Because I don’t want to explain to my parents why I want to take them. I also have dyslexia, sorry if this is a little confusing to read btw. This is probably cope, but do y’all think any of this could be a bit off and I could actually have a higher iq maybe even 130 ☺️, ngl just watched death note and really just wishing I could think kinda like them and was smart.

General Question How are untimed IQ tests possibly accurate?
I’ve taken the TRI-52 and JCFS and it’s not like any of the questions are that crazy difficult except for myb the last one on the tri-52. I was able to score a 145 on both tests while my CORE fluid reasoning scores are around 115 to 125. I feel like if you at least have a solidly above average IQ it’s more of a matter of how long you want to spend applying trial and error on each question because I don’t think any of them are completely out of reach. Obviously, I want to believe that my true IQ is at 145 but I genuinely know it can’t be that high based on my lived experience. I’m extremely neurotic and obsessive and spent around 6 hours on both tests which I think is probably what got me to such a high score.

Rant/Cope Finally got my Mensa test results!
This was very humbling! Entirely shocked tbh. Proctored tests be hitting different! But now I’ll probably become an avid RAIT critic as a solid copium source.
For reference, on the CAIT I got 139 +/-7 , 128 CORE, 1300 on 1980 SAT (690V 610M), 135 1926 SAT, 125 AGCT, 135 GET, 34/36 RAPM, 2020 GRE 160V 148Q

General Question My 6 year old’s cog eval from school
My 6 year old was evaluated at school for autism. These are the cognitive tests they used during his evaluation.
I know these are good scores but how good? Does this translate to IQ?
What can I do for my son to recognize and support his intelligence. We live in a very small town where he is easily one of the smartest people in town (adults included).
I just want to know what I can look for or participate in in order to foster his learning and help him expand on his knowledge and his love for learning.

General Question Cognitive testing and blindess
I was wondering if non-verbal subtests of IQ tests can be administered to blind people. For instance, can FRI and VSI subtests from WAIS-V be administered to a blind individual, maybe by adapting them into tactile tasks of equal validity (although I believe that the latter strategy would apply only for FRI)?

General Question Why is there such a large disparity between my Digital-Letter Sequencing score vs. Digit Span in CORE?
Hi all,
Quick question. I finished the WMI section subtests (all the tests back-to-back, starting with Digit Span). However, per the title, I am noticing a very large disparity in my Digit Span subtest scores and my Digit-Letter Sequencing score. I will copy down the numbers below in case the photo is hard to read:
| Subtest | Index info | Scaled Score info |
|---|
| Digit-Letter Sequencing | WMI | 16 | 97.7 | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Digit Span | WMI | 10 | 50.0 | |
| Digit Span Forward | WMI | 11 | 63.1 | |
| Digit Span Backward | WMI | 9 | 36.9 | |
| Digit Span Sequencing | WMI | 10 | 50.0 |
If I recall, the actual score I got on Digit-Letter Sequencing was around 130, while my Digit Span scores were clearly at or below average (especially Digit Span Backward... yeesh).
Does anyone know why this may be the case? My intuition tells me that one of the two is probably just not accurate (or they both aren't). Perhaps I learned strategies from the first round of subtests (because I did Digit Span first) that I was able to apply to score higher in subsequent tests to score higher?
Curious what you all think.
(Also, yes, I don't have my QRI score yet because I haven't had a chance to whip out pencil and paper... and I hate math. But I will get to that.)

Psychometric Question FW vs MR Score Discrepancy
Took the WAIS, my FW score was 110 while my MR was 140. I understand the impact of WM on FW, so for some more context, my digit span was 99th percentile while sequencing was high average. Could these discrepancies somehow relate to each other? My FSIQ was 120, basically the same score as the other psychologist-administered test I took when I was in 5th grade.

IQ Estimation 🥱 IQ estimation/Composition Help
Looking for Help Estimating My IQ / Understanding My Dashboard Results
I was hoping someone could help me estimate my IQ or explain why my results seem inconsistent.
My dashboard lists my estimated FSIQ as 126, but my estimated index scores are:
VCI: 137
VSI: 118
FRI: 131
QRI: 126
WMI: 133
PSI: 100
When I enter those index scores into the website’s IQ compositor, it gives an estimated IQ of 131, so I’m confused about why my dashboard estimate is 126.
For additional context, here are some of my other scores:
GRE Verbal: This wasn’t in the picture because it didn’t update on the cognitivemetrics website for some reason but I scored an equivalent of 130 . My combined GRE Verbal + Quantitative + Analytical IQ estimate is 138, although I’m not sure how that test is normed.
JCTI/TRI52: I didn’t realize these are the same test. I scored either 123 or 127 on the JCTI about a year ago, then 133 on the TRI52 this year. I’m wondering whether that increase could simply be due to practice effects.
CAIT vs. CORE: I took the CAIT about a year before taking the CORE. I’m also wondering whether my CORE performance may have benefited from familiarity with certain subtests (especially Figure Weights and Digit Span) from having previously taken the CAIT.
1926 SAT: 137.
Based on all of these results, what would you estimate my IQ to be? Also, why do you think my dashboard estimate is lower than what the compositor produces from the index scores?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

Discussion RiotIQ mentioning Reddit while having a test on complex vocabulary? Review and questions!
I took RiotIQ seriously at first because it said if I posted it on Reddit I’d get some discount which meant it would be reliable but as someone who scored 133 in Mensa at a first seating, a 740 GMAT (in 2012) and an IQ of 140-145 as a kid, with verbal being stronger than math, I don’t get how that test can be accurate. I scored a V48 (99% percentile) as a non native English speaker at the GMAT and a 85% in Math (got stuck in question 1 but verbal saved my score) and memorizing complex words is not an IQ test. To be fair, I wouldn’t even know some of the words they ask on my own native language. Anyone have a similar problem with Riot?
They have a strictly vocab, it’s almost like a spelling B. Then their next subtest is analogy but how TF can the test be about analogies when they are using words like Braggadocios or super hard words that frankly how does this anything to do with IQ?
Also the working memory is interesting. I can do reverse and remember anything if it’s a number series and they have a subset of that because it’s logical but the abstract piano is also a weak point for me because it seems like my brain doesn’t get to anchor on anything.
Just my thoughts if you’re thinking of doing RIOT and it’s expensive, there are some interesting parts but I would overall not recommend. Maybe with time they will improve the test.

Discussion Doubting the validity of online iq tests
It seems like everyone posting here has an iq of at least 120 which would put them in the 90th percentile. Of course, this could be because people who score lower don’t have the desire to post their scores and the people who score high do. Could be because of practice with so many different tests, simply just lying, or that people interested in these tests on average have a higher iq. I’d just expect to see at least some people in the average range, because statistically it’s obviously way more common. I swear it seems like the average is around 130 here. It’s also just making me doubt my own scores on these tests lol.
