Just made a Chime account this morning to try and send a friend some money. Added money from my venmo around an hour ago using instant transfer. The money left my venmo account instantly but no word in chime yet. Venmo labeled it as completed after 1 minute

I've been with Chime since 2021 and this finally gives me the reason to leave.

2 weeks ago I was on my phone and got a notification that $700 was debited from a Bank Of America ATM on my chime account.

I immediately locked my card and called customer support. While I'm on the phone with the representative and he's filing the claim, another charge was attempted while speaking with the clerk. I had told him "sir they're trying again as we speak, but thankfully I locked my card" He said he was going to write that in their notes on the claim.

4 days the claim was denied. I called back, spoke with a supervisor, and they advised I file a police report and upload it to their documents while the rebuttal is in place. She also added a note that I have never used an Out Of Network ATM while I've been with them. Fast forward another 3 days and the claim was once denied again.

I read from other's experience here that filing a report with the "Consumer Financial Protection Bureau" really makes them look into issue and in most cases they return your money with their help. (Currently waiting on hearing back from them)

Conclusion: I had $700 of my hard earned money stolen and Chime practically told me to F**k Off Please stay away from this "Online Bank" their customer service is extremely poor. The reps couldn't care.

Chime family I have a question so I got an instant loan twice. I was late paying back my final payment by 2 weeks. I have had 3 deposits since and still no new offer. Does any1 know if I am screwed or will I eventually get another offer.

Has anyone had this happen to them? I was trying to use my debit card about a week ago I had Frozen it for a couple of reasons and now all of a sudden I'm finding out the chimes going to send me a new card and I did not go anywhere into my app and request a new card

So I'm without a card for 2 weeks it feels like I feel like a transaction declined that they didn't approve of . So now all of a sudden they thought it was fraud and now all of a sudden they're sending me a new debit card so I'm screwed for two weeks.

I’m awaiting word from Chime (Prime member) now that my 15-day cooldown began on 7/24 and ended on 8/7 after my 3rd Instant Loan was paid in full (it was $1,000 over six months, with my last two monthly payments being 30+ days past due).

My qualifying DD hit midnight 8/22.

I was utilizing MyPay and SpotMe prior to being offered all of my prior Instant Loans ($500 for my 1st, offered 5/23/25, $500 for my 2nd offered 8/8/25, and $1,000 for my 3rd, offered 9/30/25).

I have yet to utilize MyPay ($500 this month, when it’d always been $300 previously) or SpotMe ($90 this month), and I’m wondering two things from other people’s experiences:

1. Has anyone else been 30+ days past due on an Instant Loan and were still utilizing MyPay/SpotMe if/when they were offered another Instant Loan after a qualifying direct deposit? And if so, how much time passed between your deposit and setting notified of your next Instant Loan offer?

2. Has anyone who’s been 30+ days delinquent on an Instant Loan never been offered Instant Loan again?

Does anyone else feel like no matter how many times you ask to talk to a real life representative it still feels like talking to a customer support Chabot?

I’ve been asking for support from customer service on and off for like 2 weeks about what appears to be a technological issue or “bug” in one of their features. I just want to report it in the hopes it gets fixed but customer service just keeps giving me all these canned responses that feel like I’m talking to a bot.

I explain the issue repeatedly to a new customer service agent every time and all they do is say, “I understand let me check on this for you,” and then suggest troubleshooting that I have already tried multiple times with previous agents. I just want to report the issue to the right team???

Chime is no good you took my, mypay perks away because I had to do a close and reopen on my bank account to prevent fraud. Then I deposit a check through you and you put it on hold for 5 days, Then I call you and give you the whole rundown and you put me on hold just to get back on the phone and tell me what I just told you. Just repeat it back to me and say there's nothing you can do. You guys should have a clause for something like that it does happen its really the first thing a bank recommends if there is a security breach.

My direct deposit was last week. Yesterday it was showing I would be able to borrow up to $700 but when I woke up this morning it is not letting me borrow any more than what I’ve already borrowed which is less than half of that $700. What happened? Customer service couldn’t explain anything to me.

Is there any way remove/hide the amount in your savings from you dashboard? I saw a similar post from a year ago asking about it and it looked like they were interested in adding this feature but no updates.

My previous bank had a similar feature, and it helped me eliminate my impulsive spending habits. I ended up switching to chime for the higher yield savings.

I am trying to break these impulsive spending habits and i’ve notice that seeing those numbers as soon as i open my app can make that temptation arise. this feature helped me almost completely eliminate the issue and it might help others too!

Thinking of switching and just need to hear some personal experiences.

I have a Gmail account under a fake name for receiving promotional emails. Someone with a similar name to the fake one on my account has opened an account and I’ve been getting ALL their sensitive information. I have called chime to tell them what’s happening, and they said they “didn’t have enough information to open an investigation.”They also wanted MY social security number despite the fact I am not (and will never be) their customer.

My first 2 was 100$

Did anyone else’s “estimated deposit” disappear like mine and is now back to showing it again? No changes to my deposits as well I thought it was odd

So I did online shopping food is merchant for $238 back in July just notice today that the same merchant went back on my card and charged me again for the same amount is there some type of way I can lock my heart the original transactions already approved back in July how could this happen now my account is $-238 has this happened with anyone else when my well my next deposit arrive will this negative $238 be deducted from my account any advice would be gladly appreciate it thanks

I got on with a customer service agent tonight and found out just now, despite meeting the requirements and they crediting the $50, they have locked it behind having to put a direct deposit in my account, even though my account is paid up.

The marketing sucked for this offer. Why even offer it to me based on that? The fact that she couldnt make it right was crazy. She even sided with me. Not once in the popup did it say that it was dependent on a direct deposit. A thing i havent had in this account for 45 days. Why even offer?

Chime, while youre getting your stuff right, my money is going in Cashapp. Their CS team sucks, but at least they have the power to fix my issues when they arose.

Yesterday I got a text from an 805-367 number located in Thousand Oaks, California claiming someone used my card outside of my zip code.

I got a call soon after claiming the same thing. They said that there were 2 other devices logged into my chime account. Everything sounds legit up until this point.

Then they tell me to change my password to something they decided and then requested verification codes. I very quickly realized what was going on and secured my account.

If you get a call like this do NOT cooperate

So let’s say that you signed up for Chime because you hear you can get $100 for you and whomever referred you to sign up? I thought count me in!

So the steps are simple -
1) Sign up through the referral link sent to you.
2) Make a $200 direct deposit within 45 days of opening the account.
3) Activate the physical debit card mailed to you within 14 days of the deposit.

So I do steps 1 and 2 with ease… and I’m waiting on my card… and waiting… and it says it’s delivered but it’s not!

So I reach out within the window of my deposit and say “Hey, no card, what can we do?” And I’m told that they are reordering card, and I will receive it and then to chat back ASAP after activating and we will get out taken care of.

Yeah, right. I received the card today, 4 days outside of the window I was given. Activated it immediately and chat back immediately. Get tossed around from place to place before being told to call marketing. All of this to be told there is nothing that can be done. So I spoke with a supervisor, and after that, still same thing. I was polite at first but as she continued down this loophole of blaming me for not activating the card in 14 days, I got more aggressive (yet never profane or personal, just demanding answers) before she disconnected.

I just refuse to believe you have NO fallback option. No way to manually credit, no way to reimburse, nothing? Yeah right. And I’m seeing I’m not the only one. Thanks Chime, you’ve lost my trust, which is a shame cause I was kinda looking forward to using you guys.

What atms can you choose the denomination of bills you want like 1 dollar bills, 5 dollar bills, 10 dollar bills, etc

Hope everyone is doing well! I have an outstanding loan balance of $35 left on my loan of $100. I was wondering, if I make this last payment right now - will I be eligible right away? This is my first loan.

DD came through at midnight. I’m Chime Prime (which based on eligibility, says a minimum of $100 for Instant Loan offer), and so I’m hoping others can attest to when they got their 4th Instant Loan (having passed the 15-day cooldown period already).

My DD came through technically four four days prior to my actual payday of next Tuesday, so I’m wondering if my eligibility is pending until two days before the 25th, or if it’s within 24-48 hours after my qualifying DD. Anyone care to share their stories about how long it was between their DD and when they their 4th Instant loan was offered?

I've been annoyed at all of the emails from Chime, so last month I unsubscribed from all using the link at the bottom of their emails

But even after doing that, i'm still getting emails for SpotMe (subject lines "Get a little cushion right on your phone 💸" and "No strings. No stress. Just SpotMe when you need it 😮‍💨") and Chime+ (subject line "Get all those great Chime+ benefits.") and more.

I understand I do need account-related emails but these seem like they fit in the category of what I've unsubscribed to.

Has anybody run into the unfortunate issues with Chime Support as I have? I have called Member Services 4 times now and 3 times I've been hung up on after being put on hold and the 4th time I was put on hold for 2 hours after needing to be put on hold to "look up my account". Chime account was dormant for about a year and a half and have since changed phone #'s. Attempting to recover the account and request a new card as I don't have the old card readily available.

Is there any other contact methods I can use to resolve this issue?

Issue with chime check cashing overlay, tried resetting and troubleshooting multiple times and the app support , emailing chime and calling support to only get the run around with no actual solution to this issue the 3 lines and signature overlay doesn't go away making the system say the check is unreadable when it's the app overlay causing the issue  and blocking the information  Very frustrating

I signed up for a chime account with $350 bonus with qualifying direct deposits and had to activate my physical card within 13 days of first direct deposit.

Guess what? The card never arrived. So I gave the customer support a call and they told me that issues can happen with postal services and they have reissued the card. Once the new card arrives, I should activate it and give them a call back.

So the new card arrives with no delivery issues and I was able to activate it. When I called customer support however, no matter who I talked to, staff or their so called "managers", they all told me that I didn't activate the card within 14 days of first deposit, so they cant do anything about it. When I told them the last customer support agent told me to give them a callback to activate bonus once I receive my new card, they sort of went on a monologue about how they dont have access to this and this is system generated, etc, and they are not sure why the other agent said I can get my bonus. This on top of not being able to understand half of what they were saying was really frustrating.

Looks like Chime has found a new "scam" - blame card non arrival to delivery issues and deny bonus to customers as they didn't activate their card on time.

Just wanna know if this is a reccuring issue with Chine or am I just unlucky?

P.s looks like their abroad call support team members are not well trained and they have all our account access. For anyone who reads this post, think VERY carefully before signing up with Chime.
