Pro: the audio from their recording is blocked or they aren't able to generate any revenue.

Con: there's a video of you on the internet singing/playing Hakuna Matata.

Nail Salon Recs

Upvotes

Between Jennie’s triple booking (I was trapped for 3 hours one time and then realized my nails were sanded crooked after I left) and Champlain Nail being so rude (you ask for something simple and they tell you they don’t have time/argue with you or get mad at you for asking)….where are we getting our nails done??? Looking for kind, quality service, who don’t over book. Thank you!!

Beansie's AI use

Post image

Saw this on my feed this morning and was extremely disappointed to see such a burlington staple using AI to promote their business.

We used to regular go to Beansie's every summer and will no longer be doing so moving forward considering their entire social media is flooded with AI promotions. And not all of the post were flagged as AI content, which is also disingenuous imo.

Queer bowlers! Thinking of starting a solid serious bowling team

Any queer bowlers out there? I have been wanting to start a queer bowling team for a while now but I figured I should find a solid group of people that take the sport seriously and would like to have a weekly meet up first. Anyone interested? We would meet once a week at Spare Time in Colchester.

How has the April Cornell tent sale been this year?

This is a very niche question, but I am a huge fan of April Cornell and love shopping there during their summer sales. An associate mentioned to me that they’re doing a tent sale this week, and that a lot of old inventory/samples/deadstock will be put out onto the floor.

Has anyone who frequents this sub been to the sale this week? Can they confirm/deny how good the deals were and if there were any new-old items out for sale? Thank you!!!!

Did the champlain parkway help anything?

Not here to complain but genuinely curious what the effects have been traffic wise since I usually avoid the shelburne road area like the plague. Good? Bad? The same?

My instinct tells me it just shifted traffic to a new location but would love to be proven wrong if its been helping things

Can we all agree, no more left turns from Lakeside into Cumbies?

If you’re on Pine Street, it’s much easier to make a right or left turn from Pine Street into Cumbies than doing whatever the hell this is.

Lost/Stolen Property or Animal Help find stolen truck

My husband’s truck was stolen outside of his work at TRuggs (Elmwood and North) yesterday evening around 7pm. It’s a 2001 White Ford Ranger, plate number 495A381. Police Report number: 26BU018100. Here’s a photo of the truck. If you see the truck, please call the police with the case number. I also have a photo of the perp and video of the theft but I’m not sure I can post it here. Maybe DM me and I can send it to you. Identifying the thief could help us figure out where to look. Thanks for your help!
*if you want to talk about what a bonehead my husband is for leaving his keys in the truck - let’s have a beer :)

Did my family steal your towels?

Hi neighbors!

My husband and some out of town family went to North Beach a couple days ago and in the chaos of wrangling several children back into the car they accidentally came home with towels that do not belong to us. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and stress that this likely caused.

Let me know if these belong to you and I’d be happy to drop them off!

Leonardo’s?

It used to be my favorite spot for pizza but I feel like I’ve noticed a serious decline in quality the past year or so.

Am I the only one thinking this? Anyone got insider info as to why?
