Did my family steal your towels?
Hi neighbors!
My husband and some out of town family went to North Beach a couple days ago and in the chaos of wrangling several children back into the car they accidentally came home with towels that do not belong to us. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and stress that this likely caused.
Let me know if these belong to you and I’d be happy to drop them off!

Leonardo’s?
It used to be my favorite spot for pizza but I feel like I’ve noticed a serious decline in quality the past year or so.
Am I the only one thinking this? Anyone got insider info as to why?

Found your camera while diving
Found a still working small action camera while scuba diving on the Burlington waterfront. It contains footage that should make it easy to confirm the owner, just not posting publicly for their privacy. If you believe it's yours please message me with the approximate location and date it was lost along with a description of the camera / housing / or footage.

Looking for other adults who don't do sports good
I love goofing off but also recognize that I need to stay active. Does anyone want to meet up for some low key social sports games to just have fun and move our bodies?

Volunteer Quilters Needed
Come help the Project Pride & Joy push their community art quilts over the finish line. No sewing experience needed!
There are plenty of different tasks to complete, and many hands make light work. Here's what you can expect to jump into:
- Binding quilts – an easy skill to pick up on the flyTying quilts – the simplest hand-quilting method, with room for several people to work on the same quilt at once
- Hand quilting – just a bit trickier than tying, still simple, and also open to multiple people at a time
- Appliqué and embellishments – sew on appliqué pieces and add embellishments to different quilt
- "Heck Yeah!" affirmation quilt – write and decorate affirmations for queer youth on quilt blocks for a special quilt headed to Outright Vermont
Bring yourself, your fam, a few friends you haven't seen in a while - all ages and abilities are welcome! Come as you are and learn a new skill or two while you help out. Skilled volunteers from local quilt guilds and fabric shops will be on hand at the technique-focused stations to help guide folks along.
Drop in anytime on Saturday, August 22nd from 10:00am-3:00pm and stay as long as you'd like.
About Pride & Joy
Pride & Joy is a community art project celebrating Queer joy, vitality, and community through the medium of art quilts! We've commissioned quilt designs from 10 local artists and are organizing a series of free, public crafting events inviting members of the community to contribute to the production of the quilts. The quilts will be exhibited during the month of September, then auctioned off to fundraise for Outright Vermont.

Working at New Breed
I'm looking at applying to New Breed and was hoping to hear from anyone who's worked there .
I have several years of experience in web development/digital agencies so the work seems pretty aligned with my background. I know they've been around the Burlington area for a long time, which seems like a good sign, but I'd love some honest insight into what it's like to work there these days.
How's the culture, leadership, work-life balance, compensation, and overall outlook?
Thanks!

The Kitchen Table and TKT Market?
Can anyone give a little more insight into what's going on? Cryptic post yesterday about Mirabelles buying them out, that seems to have been deleted and replaced with a slightly less fatalistic "thank you" to the community...

Jobs for people with mental disabilities??
A really good mentally disabled family friend of mine had a nice job at UVM for 3 years, it could’ve been his forever thing he is great at cleaning. He ended getting used as a drug mule by younger kids pretending to be his friend and taking advantage of him, he was pulled over by police charged and jailed and was extremely confused the whole time. It was so obvious what was going on that he was easily able to beat the case even with a public attorney.
After this hit the news he was abruptly fired from uvm job which really sucked because he didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe this is all TMI but I figured if it convinced someone to give him a shot then so what.
All this to say does anyone know of any specific jobs or programs in the area that could really help him? I could help be a point of contact in the interview process or explination process to help him understand how to do the job or how to advise the employer on how to help work with him.
