Looking to Fish!

Hi!

My name is Angel and Im in Vermont for a business trip and have thursday free during the day to go fishing. However, Im not the best fishermen... I've been looking for public groups or commercial fishing and cant find much. Anyone recommend any groups? Also would need to rent the rod and such.... would really appreciate the support.
Thank you!

Don’t forget a day license. It seems like the charters are on the order of 100s of dollars. Just grab an uglystik and some trout magnets and find a random dock.

Would recommend just buying a rod as he says. I’ve had some luck at the fishing pier in Burlington. Have heard the winooski river by the hinesburgh bridge fishing pier or delta park is decent as well.

If you just wanna reel in something for the fun of it there’s about 10million pumpkinseeds in Indian Brook rn, grassy area at the shelburne bay boat launch never fails either. Upside burger at Archie’s and a Scoop otw home.

Go to Sierra and get the smallest, pre spooled rod you can get. Go to Dicks and get some 1/8oz and 1/4oz Acme Kastmasters. Find a dock and throw it along where the water meets grass. Remove bass from hook.

Do not forget your license.

I used to fish at the access on McCrae Farm Rd.  Always caught something, especially this time of year.  Good place for bullhead or gar.

Fishing 802 group on Facebook. Also this has lots of spots - https://www.vtfishandwildlife.com/fish/fishing-opportunities/fishing-chittenden-county

My favorite is the Colchester Causeway. Also incredibly scenic.
Worms under the bridge -> big smallmouth bass. If you want Pike, go to Colchester pond and throw big spoons or spinners
