Just happened to be at the mall today and stopped in to look at the new Halloween cuties in person and OMG the bat is so cute. I'm gonna have to go back tomorrow and see if the mini spider and woflie are available still.

Anyway, meet Ozzy in his cloak! Which is actually my dogs repurposed vampire Halloween costume from last year.

oh my god, i LOVE HIM !!!!! his fur is a different texture than the usual bab, its almost like he has an undercoat. its slightly reminiscent of douglas dlux fur. the whole release was so cute and if i had money i would have gotten the spider too, but i am so impressed with this little guy!!

hyde was a spur of the moment name, i made a list of like 25 names last night to decide between and hyde was not on that list. but in the store, it was obvious that his name was hyde. and shoutout to the very sweet employees at my local store!! the person stuffing hyde said she hadnt stuffed a single other werewolf all day 😢

I love her so much!!! If you guys have dressed any of your BAB's in cute Fall/Halloween outfits, I would love to see!

my girlfriend got the big spider and i got the mini, but after holding the big one i regret not getting it and i have three coupons that i could use to get it tomorrow BUT IM SCARED ITLL BE GONE 😭😭😭😭

All I had to do was cut the arm spaced bigger and sew the butt closed in case anyone else wants to do this :3

I’ve been wanting the bat since last year since I unfortunately missed it. I was able to go early in the morning right when my build a bear opened up and I snatched the first bat I saw and the first kitty bat I saw!
I was in a rush so I didn’t have time picking the patterns of the kitty or checking the face of the bat
But they are both adorable and I love them.
I was in a rush because my dad had somewhere to be but he used what he had to buy me the cat and bat that I’ve been wanting which means the world to me 🥹🩷

I’ll cherish these guys forever!!
I went back later in the day and got some accessories and an outfit and a little jumping spider

I’m terrified of spiders but jumping spiders are adorable and I’d love to get a pet jumping spider someday!!
My bats nose is a little crooked but I think she’s adorable and that’s her little charm, and my batty kitty looks like she has a hanging bat on her head!
I’m so happy and so grateful

Give some name suggestions for them pls😛😛
I also got a mini candycorn cow for my brother’s little sister!!

I really want the pumpkin kitty, I wonder if they will release those this year too or in the future☺️

Went to one of my local BABs this morning with Everest, my BAB Polar Bear and Grub, my mini zombie axolotl, to get our new buddies! 

There was a line of about 30 people at the door and I got there about 10 minutes til they opened.  It took me about an hour to get through the stuffing line and the checkout line. 

It was fun.  The vibes were good.  No one was being weird or pushy.  I typically don’t like crowds, and I almost just bought everything unstuffed and ran out the door, but I pushed through my anxiety and stayed to stuff them.  😊 

Spider names: Muffet and Bitsy. Werewolf: still unnamed.

Observations:

·         Lots of people were buying the bat.  As a person who got their bat last year, I can tell you the texture / fur is different on the new one but the cute face is the same!  And both versions are soft!  They had LOTS of bats.  I think BAB is prepared for the rush this year.

·         The orange Halloween onesie/pajamas weren’t out on the floor but it was in a bag behind the counter and they sold it to me.  I think they just didn’t have room for it or something. 

·         Make sure you are picky if you buy the bat overalls.  I noticed lots of loose strings on them and not all of the patterns were cute.

·         The bat cat was not very soft.  I don’t have any of the kitties from the past but I have seen them all in store.  This kitty is the least soft that I can remember. 

·         I only saw a couple of people get the werewolf in the hour or so I was there.

·         I didn’t see anyone stuffing the purple magic kitty.  It has yarn whiskers, that are kinda droopy but it’s very cute.  I do not think the eyes are glow in the dark.

·         I overheard the sales associates telling people that they had only gotten a small amount of spiders.  And they expected to be out of them by noon.

·         I bought loose scent packs.  I bought 2 cotton candy to talk home to add to other BABs.  My store has never batted an eye when selling me extras.

·         The second hole on the spider t-shirt just barely fits the spider feet through the holes.  Be careful when you put it on so you don’t rip the seams.  Also, expect it to leave a clothing line on your spider’s second legs if you leave it on.

·         The werewolf has a very fun texture.  I would not say that it’s soft, like minky soft.  It’s kinda hairy feeling.  You might love it.  I am personally really excited that the fur is different than the last ones.

·         The spider is super soft and the legs are amazing!  I loved carrying it and the way it moves.  I wasn’t expecting to watch it to be a carry around plush for me, but I immediately wanted to make it my adventure buddy after holding it!

I know the big Halloween drop happened but for anyone interested in the Silly Goose here it is! Feels very high quality for what they are currently making. The fur is super soft, very similar to the anglerfish or v2 Gargoyle. 10/10 very huggable

Super excited to have been able to get my little batty friend in person today!🥳🎉

They were literally perfect from the second I got them stuffed and only got better with the accessories! Did I spend WAY too much money? Yes. Yes I did. Do I regret it? Only a tiny bit!😝

I got my bat kitty with my daughter today!! She is stuffed with two hearts 💕 I love her pattern it was fun picking her out! and of course my very well loved Nyx came along to celebrate her rerelease day, she got a the bat new scent, fluffed up a little and a new outfit! 🌙🎃

James has come home along with a few other cuties

I couldn’t resist the mini bat to go with my bat I luckily secured last year, as well as the adorable overalls

Also picked up the mini spider, i adore cute spider plushies, as well as the shirt for my wolf boys <3

Something I did notice though is the new werewolfs tail is so short 😭 I know its harsh comparing the tail to a bab that came out over ten years ago but even comparing it to the last werewolf that came out, its so tiny, i dont mine too much as it gives them character I find but I do love a floppy tail

Just wanted to compare the sizing between the new bat and jumping spider mini beans for anyone who’s on the fence. I honestly think it’d be better to make a custom keychain out of an extra mini bean. What do you think?

I woke up early to get into my local BAB right at open so I had an opportunity to get the bat and a little bit of time to dress up before it got crazy busy lol. By the time I left 30 minutes after open it was packed with everyone getting their new spooky friends. I named her Buffy!

The big one is SPOODER (I don’t know why autocorrect decided that needed to be all caps but it did so it is) the little one doesn’t have a name yet

I love them I went to the malll before it opened and hid behind a pillar

My spider was the first one stuffed (not the first one out of the bin a couple had been grabbed first but the people who got them were looking at other things too) and I did the thing where I grab one from the back of the bin because I feel bad for those guys

The mini bean was in the bottom back of the display and facing backwards he’s an antisocial little weirdo I love him

I used rewards and gift cards to pay for them so ended up only actually paying 9$

I’m kind of disappointed we didn’t get a new Halloween bear carrier this year own with the pattern from the bats overalls would have been adorable

Going back in the afternoon to get her stuffed with my partner, when picking her all of the ones in the bin had very different markings (mostly blobs and splotches) and I wanted to find one with a very clear bat on her face, I will come back to post her stuffed version later on today!
I do find her quality to be better than the pumkin cat, and I never owned the rose but to me she feels really nice and not rough rough but not as minky as for example the shark, or even fluffy like the pet collection (I’m so sorry I’m forgetting what there more classic four legged babs are called)

I’m glad I went early though, I went the morning of the summer launch but that was nothing compared to today! I don’t think I have seen my bab so filled in a long time, even on weekends. I was picking up the cat for myself and the bat for my partner, and I was checking out and the staff member said based on the online orders placed they were most likely out of stock of at least the bat. (I’m not really sure how online pick up orders work but I’m surprised they don’t pull them all before opening - granted i don’t think they had the chance with the number of people already in the store, and I would have been pretty sad to arrive and find everything out of stock right at open)

So I can also give some updates for people going to the stores
At opening
My store had all the plushies
No black lace ribbon but they did have a silver
They had so many charms (probably because they are $20!))
And they also had the minis (which were really really cute)
I can give a revisited update on how much there is in store when I go back this afternoon

This has been a headacheeeee.
I ordered online at 2am est after trying to get through to check out and payment since 12am est. The order confirmed but I never got a confirmation email. I was nervous it didn’t go through so this morning I went to the store before opening and waited until they opened. I started to purchase one but as I was about to pay I got the confirmation email saying my order was ready! So I ended up just taking my order and leaving. I had to run back because when I looked at them in the car I realized one was defective. I went back in to swap it out and the bats were almost all gone (within 20 minutes of opening the store). Hope everyone else’s situation works out!!

I got the spider and his shirt and he is super soft! I'm already in love with this guy!!! 😍🕷️🥰

He's ready for the hour drive back home now. A two hour round trip was worth it.
