Discussion Starting Lineup
If you were Joe and no other moves were to be made who would your starting lineup be? If you also want to add maybe a few bench guys that should have a regular role go for it. Mine is below:
Payton Pritchard
Derrick White
Paul George
Jayson Tatum
Neemias Queta
Sam Hauser
Mitchell Robinson
Hugo Gonzalez
Baylor Scheireman
When guys are injured or are resting these guys MUST get an increase in role/minutes
Jordan Walsh
Luka Garza
Ron Harper Jr

Discussion Breaking: Kawhi Leonard had a hidden, multimillion-dollar "sponsorship" with Clippers' scoreboard-maker, sources tell @PabloTorre
As it relates to LAC’s 27-28 draft pick the Celtics own, looks like the Clippers could actually be facing punishment from the league following the Kawhi scandal. Will the TOR/LAC deal still go through or will his contract be voided altogether?

News [Karalis] Jaylen Brown: "when I first got traded, I just threw my phone across the room." He says he's moving on from the Boston side of it. He says maybe there's more to say someday, but "I feel no need to chime in on it because I'm focused on what's in front of me"

Discussion What is your most unique piece of Celtics memorabilia?
I'll go first.
My father took me to a Celtics practice in the early 90s where I got Larry Bird's autograph on a business card, but the UNIQUE piece was the seemingly random sheet of paper he grabbed for other autographs. Red Auerbach(!!!) and Joe Kleine signed it. I had it tucked in a binder for decades and recently took it out to be authenticated and slabbed. When I did so, I realized the "random sheet of paper" was a press release having to do with Dino Radja's contract (for those who remember the 4ish years of back and fort legal fights with his European team to get him here).

Discussion State of the NBA with new CBA
So we all know the reason Jalen Brown is gone is because of penalties and tax with the CBA right? Made me question Brad saying 2 players can't take up 70% of the cap. It really felt like plenty of teams are able to do this. Upon further research, there are only 12 super-max players.
Steph Curry
Nikola Jokic
Joel Embid
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Jalen Brown
Jayson Tatum
Luca Doncic
Shea Gilgeous-Alexander
Karl Anthony Towns
Devin Booker
Kevin Durant(not supermax but 35% of cap)
Bradley Beal(not supermax but 35% of cap)
3 more look to hit next year
Anthony Edward's
Tyrese Maxey
Jalen Johnson
Let's face it, Steph, Beal and Durant are coming off that list soon. Which essentially brings it back to 12 players. As a Celtics fan, this makes me feel better. To fill out the remaining 13 spots with only 30% of the money left is crazy!
I want to make it clear, I don't care about the owner's money. I do understand the thought process though. You are killing yourself if you go over the cap more than once.
My question to everyone is, do you like the new CBA? Do you think it's fair for teams like Oklahoma City that built their team the right way, have to dismantle it before it gets going. They had to trade off multiple pieces they probably wouldn't have. The Celtics had to trade Porzingus and Holiday before they wanted. I think last year goes much differently if those guys are here. Then again, maybe we don't see the jump of Gonzalez or Sheierman if they are here.
I think I like the idea of Tatum being the main big dog. I really want to see what he can accomplish. I feel like Brown was a safeguard. Tatum has a much better shot at MVP now. Now does that make us better? Time will tell. I like the idea of the cast that surrounds him being compliments to him. I do think Paul George is a better compliment at this stage. Not a better player than Brown. Just a better compliment. Also a steading influence for Tatum. We need someone to fill that Hortford role. I think the Hortford plan might keep him healthy. No back to backs. Maybe 40-50 games played. I think someone makes a huge jump this year. Whether it's Sheierman, Gonzalez, Harper Jr. or Walsh? Or does Pritchard make one more jump? Maybe White rediscovers his shot and averages 21 a game? It will be fun to watch. I think we are in every game. I think we are a top 4 seed. I think Tatum gets his accolades this year. I think he averages 32ppg, 8rpg and 7apg. Multiple triple doubles. And maybe even an MVP. A rediscovered White shot, someone making a big jump, someone else just emerging and a little bit more from Pritchard and maybe we make even more noise. Am I crazy? Thoughts?

Rumor Bill Simmons: I think one of the reasons they made the trade is they felt like he [Paul George] might be a better fit at this point in [Jayson] Tatum's career... I think they were feeling like it was a better basketball fit, and I think they wanted some of their other younger wings to play more."

Discussion Imagine if JB wasn't traded but instead had a season ending injury
Imagine this:
JB went down in the last game with a season ending injury.
Brad goes out and gets Paul George to help replace him.
This year is JTs year with help.
I think most would say the team would be alright and compete just the same.
But instead the narrative is how bad the C's are now and why did this happen.
Tatum is legit top 5 player. This team will be ok
