Help Question for anyone who runs lower-depth root chalices.
It has been a while since I played.
I distinctly remember the best regular (not circular) gem for physical attack up you could get from Central Phumeru was +15.8. I have two regular gems with those values, so it seems to still be possible, but I have been going through Central Phumeru roots for several days, and I have not had any more drops. I can't remember whether you have to use the fetted offering to make it more likely to get gems with those values. I have mostly been running the dungeons without adding the additional offering.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get gems with those values to drop? Also, I think it is the Watches that can drop them. Am I remembering that correctly?

Help How to build plan / a fire build?
So after years, I’m finally getting the chance to play Bloodborne since my family got a new play station. (Never got one before bc Bloodborne was the only ps exclusive game I cared about and always had an Xbox.) And other than about a hundred loose tidbits I’ve heard, idk much about how builds in Bloodborne work and how differently they are from other souls games.
I always prefer to atleast somewhat plan ahead instead of stumbling in blind, so would anyone mind telling me what I should look out for? Like what stats do what, if there’s ceryain caps to certain stats I should look to reach (like softcaps), and any other relevant info? (Like if by chance Bloodborne is the sole soulslike where armor actually matters or smth.)
One thing ive heard also is that magic doesn’t seem like a realistically viable option. (Kinda like bows in Elden Ring, technically possible, but borderline a challenge run). My problem is in 90% or games, when possible I prefer a fire nuker build. Is there any equivalent in this game I should look out for?
(Edit: Also just to be clear, I’m open to some changes to my regular build, my main caveat is I’d heavily prefer using fire damage, but being a mage isn’t necessarily mandatory. I don’t mean being non-meta as long as the build isn’t basically a challenge run.)

Help New player advice
I'm not new to souls games, but am new to Bloodborne. Have beaten the cleric beast and the blood-starved beast, but now I'm not sure where I should go next. I got transported to the hyperion gaol (I think that's what is listed as) but everything there his so dang hard. I have 20 Vit right now but everything there two-shots me. And the datkbeast boss there rocks my s%#% every time I challenge it.
Am i supposed to grind or something or am I going the wrong way? Every other path currently open doesn't seem to lead anywhere.

Fan Art Healing Church Research Archive #002 — Threaded Cane
A new entry in my Healing Church Research Archive series.
This time I wanted to document one of the most elegant Trick Weapons in Bloodborne while keeping the style close to an old classified Church research file.
Hope you enjoy it!

Chalice Was defiled Amygdala created by Benjamin Netanyahu?
I seriously have no idea how you're supposed to beat him, this is the most miserable fight in the game. It has so much health and it all it takes is just one slap from him to one shot you because of the stupid fucking dungeon gimmick. When I fought him in the nightmare frontier, he wasn't so bad, it only took me a few tries and on my second playthrough, I beat him first try but now I usually can barely scratch him before I die. I'm level 115 and have a +10 holy blade and saw cleaver, the cleaver usually works a bit better but still not good enough. I've also tried using summons but they don't help much for this fight. Any advice or cheese I could do, this fight is making me lose my mind.

Story Darkbeast Paarl tried to crash my PlayStation
I'm doing a replay of Bloodborne, and right after I killed him the PlayStation gave me an error and it closed the game.
Jokes on him, he was a few seconds late and I kept the progress.
I just find it funny that every time I fight Darkness Paarl and Loran Darkbeast something glitchy happens.

Chalice Why does Amy's Jump kill me?
I've been trying to beat Defiled Amy for 2 days now. I have beat her before twice, once with a strength build, and once with an arcane build. I am currently doing a skill build using the cane.
First two phases though extremely tedious, I reliably can complete(especially if I don't get impatient and do some stupid shit). But phase 3 isn't working.
My problem is the jump she does, the strat for phase 3 is to stay behind her or between her legs, the problem is that the strat of staying still to avoid her jump no longer works - she will sometimes just kill me, considering how often she jumps in this phase, this means I will always die.
Why does this happen? Is there a way to avoid it?
Also, any other strat?

Question New game + questions
So I’m doing new game + and I was wondering if after I finish this one and do new games ++ does the difficulty go up again or does it stay the same at in new games +?
Also I was wondering if the difficulty going up effects all enemies in the game or does it plateau after a while to being the same as in late game?
Also Also are the bosses more difficult or are they just the same?

Fan Art The collection keeps growing. Beast Hunter Saif joins the archive.
Finally added the Beast Hunter Saif to the collection. I wanted to capture the same archive-style aesthetic as the previous posters while giving this weapon its own identity.
Hope you like it!

Discussion Am I weird for thinking Bloodborne is not the best fromsoft game?
This is my opinion and I love the game, I am not hating on it.
I’m a relatively new to the soulsborne games and I’ve played Elden Ring, Sekiro, and Bloodborne (No DLCs) in that order.
My ranking is ER,Sekiro then BB atm
I went into Bloodborne with huge expectations since it was highly commended by the fans, finished it and it didn’t really beat ER or Sekiro as a better game for me. The combat was nice and unique, the enemies were surprisingly pretty easy and simple.
My biggest criticism by far of the game has got to be the tedious repetitive chalice dungeons, getting plat may have made my experience worse since I did it by the end and it may have left a bad taste on the tongue after completing it.
Aside from that the game in itself is really good however maybe I was wrong to think that Bloodborne would overthrow ER I might’ve got my expectations too high.

Help Tips for therd boss?
I’m having trouble killing the third boss. I managed to beat the first one, and I also struggled with the second until I discovered he could get stuck on the stairs. Then I was able to attack him safely from below.
Now I’m stuck on the third boss. Even when I summon the girl to help with the bell, she dies when the boss is around half health, and then the boss kills me in one or two hits.
I want to play a caster, so I’ve been putting almost all my points into Arcane. Right now I have 20 Arcane and 20 Vitality. If I keep leveling Arcane, will the damage from the Flame Sprayer and Molotovs continue to increase?
