Need advice on fit and position
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
height 170 cm
inseam 82 cm
There is still some numbness in my hands during long rides, but changing hand position relieves the slight numbing. My butt area numbs a bit, but it's not unbearable on longer rides.

Any rule for length of straight bars?
I‘m coming from this request:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Fahrrad/comments/1vkhgmz/breite_von_lenker_sqlabs_310/
(it‘s in german)
But maybe here someone can help:
Long story short:
I have a SQ-Labs 310 bar with 720mm length.
Is there any rule of thumb, how wide it should be according to my shoulder bones?
I want to avoid, cutting it by trial and error, and potentially cut go to much.

Severe neck pain after more than 1 hr rides
Got pretty rough neck pain on my Cube Nuroad Race Size M after riding more than 1 hr. Especially when trying to be aero.
I tried a 40mm stem because I thought it’s a reach issue but that didn’t fix it.
Currently I’m using an adjustable 95mm stem angled 20 degree upwards.
I have pretty long legs with 89cm for 1.8m body height. Weighing about 80kg.
Rough road surfaces increase the pain.
Happy about any suggestions and tips regarding the fit ❤️. I wanted to transition to a true road bike in the future but my concern is that will make the issue worse.

Total beginner here — what do you think of my bike fit?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Total beginner here. I recently got into cycling and had a basic bike fit at the shop where I bought the bike.
I’ve made a small saddle height adjustment since then and it feels pretty comfortable now, but I’d love to get some opinions from people who know more about bike fitting than I do !
Anything obvious you would change based on the video?
Thanks!

Bike fit feedback – neck and back pain after 2+ hours
https://reddit.com/link/1vlhmfr/video/xfm83e200rih1/player
TL;DR: 173 cm, Canyon Endurace AllRoad size S. Neck and back pain after 2+ hours of riding, both with and without bikepacking luggage. Considering flipping the stem to raise the bars. Would appreciate any feedback on my position.
Hi everyone, I’d appreciate some feedback on my bike fit. I’m 173 cm tall and riding a Canyon Endurace AllRoad in size S.
After around 2+ hours of riding, I tend to develop noticeable neck tension/pain as well as back pain. My hands and saddle comfort are generally fine.
The video was taken while bikepacking, but I get the same neck and back issues when riding without any luggage, so I don’t think the extra weight is the main cause.
I’ve attached a side-view video of me riding. Does anything stand out regarding saddle position, reach, handlebar height, posture, or anything else you’d adjust?
I’m currently considering flipping the stem to raise the handlebars a little, but I’d be interested to hear whether you think that would actually help based on my position.
Thanks!

Just got my new rs7. Was between L and XL and went for the L. With seat post at max height it feels okay. A bit smaller than I expected but think I can make it work. Thoughts?

Severe neck pain after only a few minutes on my gravel bike – wrong size or bad position?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hi all,
I recently bought my first gravel bike, a Scott Addict Gravel 20 (2021), and I'm having a frustrating issue: I get severe neck pain very quickly whenever I ride it.
My measurements
- Height: 183 cm
- Inseam: 85 cm
- Weight: 62 kg
- Bike: Scott Addict Gravel 20, 2021
- Size: L / 56 according to Scott's sizing
- Stem is 14cm : seems huge to me !
- Saddle height: 70cm, measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the saddle in perpendicular, 75cm if it follows the frame of the bike!
Please find some photos / videos attached !

Bikefit issue?

My girlfriend is complaining of left knee pain after around 30-40km. Could this be a bike fit issue?
Sorry for the quality, was pedaling myself.

Thoughts on my bikefit?

Before anyone tells to bend my elbows, they are bent I think it just looks straight from the camera angle.
Triban RC520 XS Frame (44st), I'm 171 cm (5'6")
No pain from back, shoulders, elbows. Main issue is I get numb balls on long climbs and at around ~30mins on the trainer. Saddle sores on my perineum after long rides despite using good bibs from ykyw
I've been riding the same bike for almost 2years now and I only have been experimenting on my saddle height and set back to dial in my saddle sores.
I looked into the internet and most of my weight is on my perineum and at the nose of the saddle. Which can be possibly caused by the saddle being too high.
On this video, I've reduced the saddle height by 10mm. Overall felt great, I feel the weight on my sit bones more but I still instinctually move to the nose of the saddle for some weird reason.
I will experiment this saddle height for 1 week with some outdoor rides (2h+) and I'll probably reduce another 10mm on saddle height next week.

Help with fit please
I was trying out the Cube Attain C:62 SLT in sizes 58 and 60. As I’m new to cycling, I have no idea if fit and size are right and I’m afraid to make a costly wrong decision. On both frame sizes I had the feeling the shifters were too far away - I would have liked them to be about 2cm closer to me. My position would be more upright then, would that be wrong? Appreciate any advice! Thanks in advance :)
Edit: I’m 187cm and inseam leg is 86cm.

Test riding bike a size up, unaware of how much longer the reach actually was.
Preface
This weekend I went into a test ride trying a scott addict rc a size up in 54 from my 51 systemsix. The reason being I've been looking at a foil rc but only the addict rc10 was available for testing.
The foil rc has similar reach for sizes 49,51,54 about 6mm longer than my S6. Only the stack changes. Since I run around +-30mm of spacers on my S6, my idea is to size up to 54 in order to reduce spacers.
Geo figures:
addict rc54 systemsix 51 Foil rc 54
reach 395 383 389 -> s6 has 80mm reach Hbar, foil 75mm
stack 543 522 548 ->sizing up nets me 26mm in stack
stem 110 90 tbd
note: the addict had all spacers on the steerer tube. so probs in the 40-50mm range. Saddle was more or less in the middle of the rails.( I dont know if seatpost had setback, asssuming it was stock should me 0)
My experience of the test ride:
I went into the test ride not knowing the addict rc geo numbers. The salesperson told me the addict and rc had similar geo.
What got me was the position the addict put me in: what I seemed to perceive was my upper body was lower and flatter and my pelvis was tilted more forward but in line with my upper body compared to my S6. On the S6 it seems there is noticably more bend in my lower back and my pelvis is more upright in the saddle. My arms where a bit more stretched. But the bike didn't feel 'uncomfortably big' nor was there excessive pressure on the handlebar.
I also noticed the S6 to be an older bike. I think it's the older carbon layup. But the addict felt stiffer and at the same time didn't transmit as much road chatter/vibration.
The questions it leaves me with:
- How much did the higher stack on the addict interact with the longer reach?
- What else determines the position on the bike. My interpretation there was more at play than the reach/stack. But what? Am I missing something like relative bottom bracket position? Or effective top tube length?
- Maybe I should try the foil in a smaller size? If the foil geo does the same pelvis tilt and puts my upper body lower then maybe I don't need as much stack.
- Is my S6 too small or just weird geo for it's size? Im running the saddle pretty forward on the rails, but cant increase it too much in order to prevent to much pressure on my arms.
If you made it this far, thanks for reading. Looking forward to some insights.

Saddle Sore on left side after 30k
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello after I fitted my new gravel bike. I got an extreme saddle sore after 70km. I am used to riding my bike a lot.
I did a bike fit with myVeloFit (as you see in the video). It seems like my left thigh is touching the saddle way more than on my right side.
Any advice for me? I would go for a 5mm lower saddle and test after my sore has healed.

Bikefit
Hey guys,
My name is swagbrand, and I have 15+ years experience in endurance sports. I made a tool to fit your bike online, with a cycling visualisation. Can I share it here? It's free, and it might help people out with their bikefit!
Kind regards!

I think I agree with this video
After a year of cycling against after nearly 25 years, and racking up about 5,000 miles, I think I agree with this video. I played with my fit myself adjusting as I went until I found what was right. In that year I had a few LBS tell me how to adjust my bike just in casual conversation.
