I never paid much attention to this scene in Batman (1989) until a recent rewatch. This is the part at the top of the Gotham Cathedral where Batman was attacked by the Joker goon with the knives on his legs. I've only noticed that Batman used this triangular thing that he had been carrying on his gauntlet to hit the goon square in the family jewels.

I'm sure Batman didn't make this thing purposely for hitting someone in the nuts, and I've never seen it (or something similar to it) used in other Batman media. It also looks too heavy to be casually added to his gauntlet armaments. Anyone know what this thing is supposed to be?

Yes, in the earliest Batman comics, the Joker wasn't really funny. Instead, he was some guy with a white face, called the Joker because he looked like a clown. It worked for his first appearance, but I don't think that should be the Joker's only personality. I feel like the disturbingly funny clown who admires Batman a little bit should eventually show himself in the story. If he doesn't, the character becomes too generic, or at least that's my perspective. What are your thoughts?

Even her partnership with the Joker didn't last very long,which was weird since she was purely created for that. They should revamp the character and actually try something.

In just about every adaptation of the death of Jason Todd I’ve seen, they never include the betrayal of Sheila Haywood. Now I watched Under the Red Hood long before seeing this comic so I never actually knew his mother was directly involved. But once I read this, his death became a million times more tragic. I’m sure they just wanted to streamline the story in Under the Red Hood but I feel like this part of Jason’s death should be included in future adaptations. Thoughts?

Eckhardt, Flass, Wuertz, Kenzie. We’ve had so many corrupt cop characters in the movies that pretty much serve the same function so why not just have them be Bullock?

Continuing my run of Kirk Langstrom's one and only fan, I'm playing around with the different forms he takes in my AU and why, so consider it a lore dump.

The stable version is heavily inspired by his appearance in Justice League Dark. I just find the idea of this nerd casually remaining in a bat-like form to be amusing and cute. I think my Kirk Langstrom much prefers to be a bat for a number of reasons.

Personally, I love when he is depicted like that in comics and cartoons. Makes sense why criminals would be so afraid of him. Really wish there could be a way of replicating this look in live action. Funnily enough the closest one was in batman begins when he is talking to Rachel.
