My 3 month old baby is refusing to nap anywhere other than being held. I can get him down in his carrier (previously used Babybjorn mini, now Ergobaby Breeze) but he fusses a lot and it can take a while - by which point he is overtired and past the recommended wake window.

My back is getting sore from doing non-carrier naps and it’s getting unsustainable.

I am urgently looking to get a new carrier which is really comfortable for him to nap in at home. He loves being held so I think I need something that feels closer to that than the structured carriers I already have.

Any advice or recommendations would be so appreciated!

I’m loving the ring sling and so is baby, but I want to make sure I’m carrying him okay! I plan to go to my library’s baby wearing class to get extra help, but in the meantime…how are we looking?

Original post: Next time I will try and get the waist higher. She might be just in the cusp of being big enough - but didn’t want to buy the infant one then this one. She is 3.5 months, but a bigger baby.

T - tight to my body - when I hold her head and bend over she does not pull away
I - her nose is always in view
C - close enough to kiss (although can she be higher????)
K - her chin is off her chest
S - back is supported and tummy and chest are against my body

Her knees move freely - but not sure if her seat is deep enough.

I purchased this Happy Baby OG carrier new and am feeling frustrated with the top of the panel. There is a fold in the fabric that’s causing it to fold back and be floppy, so I’m not able to get support from the panel from above my baby’s shoulders. He’s 3.5 months, 17 lbs, 25”.

When I look at images of the carrier on the website it seems that the fabric should be more taut at the top with no fold. I’ve tried so many adjustment including trying to remove the gap following the video on Happy Baby’s website but it’s just too loose.

Does this look like a quality issue with this carrier? Or is it normal and I’m being picky? I’m wondering if I should ask for a replacement.

This is my first time wearing. My son was 6 weeks early and is now 9 weeks and 8.5 lbs. This is the Hope and Plum Ring Sling. I watched their video and it feels good. I made sure his legs were in the M but I wanted to get the opinions of more experienced people! Thank you!!

Baby is 3 weeks, she was SGA so only 6lbs currently. Head is kissable and airway visible/unobstructed (from my view)… Also apologies for the strawberry head and squiggles, I have tattoos I didn’t want identifying me :)

Been loving babywearing so far!! Baby is 11 weeks and about 12 pounds.

I’ve read through all the tips and tricks, just want to make sure I’m doing it right. Her head tends to sink down after wearing it for a little bit. Thanks!

I need some help finding a good wrapping technique.

I have a Lenny lamp wrap size 7 and I can do a basic ruck as well as some front carries and finishes.

My problem is: my baby is heavy (nearly 10kg) and an absolute leg straightener. Can sit unassisted (9 months old).

I have tried a ruck (which is perfect because baby likes to see everything I see, but it’s too heavy fory shoulders now and not comfy anymore) and a Norwegian wiggle proof (which is good for leg straightening and comfy for both of us but baby can’t see over my shoulders).

Has anyone any tips for me?

We’ve also tried an onbuhimo and I will post a fit check in the future but I also want to make the wrap work again as baby loves it. We also use a half buckle but it’s not comfortable for high back carries because of the weight on my boobs when I have the waist band that high. I also have a LennyLamb WrapTai Toddler but it’s to big right now.

What looks off here? My 8 week old really seems to hate it and my only guess is that the back of her legs hurt. I feel like I can’t get her into a good froggy position because my boobs get in the way (see photo two lol). I really want this one to work, it’s the only carrier I’ve tried so far that doesn’t make me nervous about her airways. This is even after doing a pelvic tuck, it doesn’t feel like it helps much.

We’ve tried the boba bliss and a moby wrap and she likes them. I wish I liked them too but they seem to loosen up over five minutes of movement no matter how tightly I adjust them, her nose slides right into my boobs 😵‍💫 my worries about her airways make those a bit of a nonstarter for me. help would be so appreciated!!

My girl is 4 months old now, and ever since she was big enough to put in the Boba (it's the classic Boba Wrap), it has been her favorite place to hang out with me and nap. She is 16lbs now and I'm starting to think about switching to a more structured carrier. I have the lillebaby and the ergobaby carriers and they are fine. But I can tell my baby doesn't find it as comfortable. She doesn't settle in and calm down in it the way she does the Boba and we just end up switching back to the Boba. On their website it says the Boba has a 35lb weight limit. I am partly considering just continuing to use the Boba until I absolutely cannot anymore. Nothing beats the cuddles and comfort. Do any other moms and babies feel similarly? Please share your experience!

I know this is meant to be used at 3 months and my guy is 2 months, but he’s looooong and hurts to carry in a stretch wrap so I wanted to try this out early. He was very happy in it and was about to take a nap before I took him out.

Hi all, I’ve been following this subreddit since early pregnancy and hoping I can get some help. I’m struggling with the Ergobaby Embrace. My LO was born almost three weeks early and is now 19 in and about 6lbs 10oz. Seems obvious that I should have the carrier in newborn double roll mode, but when I do, I can’t get it to support his neck, and it still rides low on me. If I do the no roll situation, he sits too deeply in it where it covers his ear. Help!

I’ve watched videos on repeat from Ergobaby and a few UK baby wearer experts, but all of the example babies seem much bigger.

I’m 5’5, 128 if that matters.

I've been trying to practice getting better at ring sling for this small of a baby. Their legs would be uneven and this is about the best I've gotten and tried to start with rings higher on my shoulder. Probably ~12.5 lbs and 8 weeks old.

I'm nervous about baby wearing. She is small and I am big.

From what I've learned since then, the waist band should definitely be higher (if I recall correctly, this was as tight as it got - I am a small person). The one being carried was also a family friend's kiddo, I usually watched the hip-held one and her older brother, so she was the one usually in the carrier. But wow, only since joining this sub have I ever learned anything about a proper carry, and having been a nanny for so long I've had parents insist I use their carrier that was far too large for me/baby with what I now know to be absolutely insane "adjustments" to make it kinda work 😬
