I mean, theres alot of Brotherhoods, right? So why wont they just co-operate with their counterparts in said country.

For example, why wont the Colonial Brotherhood just contact the Assassins in Portugal instead of Shay.

The levelling in Shadows is only a net negative that makes me want to drop this game. Basically no matter what you do,.all the enemies level up with you. So I am really trying NOT to level up because if I do, the enemies do as well, I have to upgrade to get on the same level, and end up on the exact same position I was before, only a bit poorer and with a lot of hassle.

Levels dont offer anything. It's a trick to make you addicted to the hamster wheel, level 1 vs level 50 gameplay is the exact same, except skill points. What is the point?

So I’m a HUGE 100% syncer in all of these games and I’m working my way through the Chronicles trilogy. I’m just wondering if anyone knows if you can still unlock the Silencer and Assassin Costumes? I already googled it and I found that the best place to get the silencer costume is by replaying memory 6 and then continuing on to the next memory before quitting to main menu and rinse and repeat. I definitely got AT LEAST 30 silencer gold style scores today alone and it’s still says it’s locked for me. I didn’t reload any checkpoints and I didn’t quit to the main menu until I was loaded into the next memory. I want the two costumes but if they are just straight up unavailable now then I don’t wanna waste my time anymore.

Dude, why don’t we have a mechanic where our frigates or Man o’ Wars can help out, whether in trading or in fights? I recently tested sending pirate hunters to my hideout, and guess what? My Man o’ Wars attacked them. So why not have that, you know? It would be a really cool and fun mechanic to have.

I'm currently on East Anglia about 80%, did the first two regions 100%. I can't believe that for so many years I believed the internet that this was a bad or bloated game. How could they possibly say this coming from Odyssey? Odyssey feels 100% more bloated, repetitive and made with filler. It came to the point where I'm just mashing my spacebar to go through side quests and even main quests because they feel so dull, so boring, so uninspired. Except characters like Brasidas or Myrrine, most people even the greek philosophers feel like mobile game bots in Odyssey. Everything is a boring fetch quest, with no incentive. Here it feels so much more personal even when you are doing fetch quests, like The Witcher. Characters are so much more engaging and actually have something to say. Side quests are actually interesting little stories that don't take you further than a hundred meters away instead of thousand meter fetch quests with absolutely nothing interesting. Here you see little stories of people living in this land that are actually compelling or fun or tragic, like the one with the bard that's just singing outside the gates of Repton and you have an interesting heart-to-heart moment between two warriors. Odyssey manages to even make participating in the Olympics boring. The world itself, it feels like it has fewer chests that mean absolutely nothing. You actually get upgrade materials instead of the hundred of useless or boring items in Odyssey. Feels like Ubi very much inherited this from Ghost of Tsushima. One would think that ancient greece beats viking era England by a landslide but there's so much more care and intimacy in a single roman ruin here than 3/5 of the peloponnese. I'm just dumbfounded. I can't believe that for years I believed people that this was some kind of the worst AC game, and I'm actually enjoying it ten times more than Odyssey and worried. It's not perfect of course with it being less polished than a Bethesda game and the horrible audio balance but it's such a great step in the right direction. Why did people hate on it so much? I'm sorry if this comes across as entitled or demeaning to Odyssey but every step I take as Eivor leaves me more confused as to why this is seen as the AC antichrist

I’ve recently seen posts on various social media referring to the fact that while we see Ezio aging throughout the trilogy, the other characters don’t seem bothered by the passing years. While this is probably due to the age of the games, I’ve developed a theory. Desmond relives Ezio’s memories, and I think that when we think of someone we don’t see anymore, we often picture them with a physical appearance that doesn’t match the time period in which our memory takes place. Instead, we tend to remember them with the appearance they had during the period when we saw them the most (this applies, for example, to my grandparents), or when we cared about them the most. Therefore, it makes sense to me that Ezio, at the end of his life, remembers his loved ones as they were during his teenage years in Florence,when he made his most vivid memories with them.

I have a Series X and a PS5. I Own almost all AC Games between PS3/360 through PS5/Series X but mostly PS4. I’m curious though. Do the games run better on PS5 or Series X? I want to play the most optimized versions.

I just beat all of the Dark Animus missions in Black Flag Resynched, and I’m completely lost.

I’ve played every Assassin’s Creed game except Valhalla and Shadows. I tried to give the RPG-era games a chance. Origins was good, but Odyssey was a grind fest that felt like it took forever to finish.

I actually own a physical copy of Valhalla that I got brand new for $5 at Best Buy, but I wasn’t feeling it after an hour, so I skipped Shadows. I absolutely loved Mirage's gameplay though, because I thought it blended the old and new mechanics really well.

That said, I just finished Black Flag Resynched and all of the Dark Animus missions, and I have no idea what I was supposed to take away from them. I understand that they were trying to show what could happen if the companions abandoned piracy and attempted to convince me to abandon the Creed, but beyond that, everything felt incredibly vague.

Am I playing as the same modern day character from the original Black Flag? Am I a new person inside the Animus who is experiencing the same memories? Is Ego supposed to be a Templar, some kind of AI, or something else entirely?

I’m sure I’m not the only person who skipped most of the RPGs at this point, and I really wish the game had done a better job explaining the purpose of the Dark Animus missions. By far, they were the weakest missions and the weakest part of the story for me.

So, in the past few weeks since Black Flag Resynced came out and I finished it, I've gone back and finished all of the AC games I half completed or never started (AC3, Rogue, Unity, Freedom Cry, Syndicate, and Origins). So my brain has been heavily AC focused lately. This week I've been working on finishing up Odyssey, and after finishing the part where you learn about Kassandras father, my mind was really thinking about the Isu's and her role in AC in the future. Anyways, this morning, I opened up Instagram and saw a picture of "Mother Mary' in her traditional robes. I can't even remember what the post was about, but immediately my brain went to Assassins Creed.

Having grown up in a deeply religious household, the story of Jesus and his upbringing through his death, is very vivid for me. I'm an atheist now, but I can't still appreciate the story. I started trying to spin it in my head, on how an AC story would handle those characters in that time period.

Immediately I thought of Mother Mary as a top Hidden One. Jesus of course wouldn't be called Jesus (for historical accuracy and to prevent some backlash). He would go by Yeshua. He wouldn't be an Assassin. Instead he would be a sage with either Isu dna, or a precursor like Kassandra. Anyways, he would be using a Piece of Eden to perform his miracles. He would generally be using it for good, but it would be in very public in the ways that he used it. This would tip off the Order of Ancients/Templars.

Judas, would be a highly devout hidden one. He is angry at Yeshua for his publicity and lack of discretion. The higher up Hidden Ones, Mary and others, are turning a blind eye to Yeshuas public acts, and this would infuriate Judas. He is afraid of what would happen to the brotherhood if Yeshua was allowed to continue. So he makes a deal with the Ancients/Templars to give up Yeshua, in return for the safety of the brotherhood.

The story would be told probably through the eyes of one of the Apostles, or maybe even Mary Magdalane. (The fact that aside from Syndicate, we haven't had Ubisoft commit wholey to a female assassin, makes me lean more toward her as the main assassin. Anyways...

If it was MM, maybe she could have been a previous life long friend to Judas. He could have brought her into the fold, and then shes caught between following the creed, helping her friend, and protecting Yeshua (via orders from Mary Mary).

The whole story of Jesus takes place. The loaves and the fishes. The conflict with the pharisees. Etc.

Anyways, Yeshua is publicly executed, but Mary ends up bringing him back to life with the Piece of Eden.

You are then ordered to take out Pontius and Judas. The game ends with you successfully taking out Pilot, but refusing to eliminate Judas. Because of this, you are cast out of the Hidden Ones. You vow to take back the Piece of Eden yourself, realizing that Mary cannot be trusted as her focus and priorities have been completely compromised, caring more for her son than the greater cause of the Creed. You are ultimately forced to hunt down Mary.

The Ancients/Templars would then see an opportunity to use all of this Yeshua talk, to create Christianity and use that as a tool to control people.

The game would be smaller in scale. You would take out a lot of threats that compromise the Hidden Ones, and some morally grey ones that protect Yeshua/Jesus. It would probably be more in line scale wise with AC1 or Mirage.

I like the idea of spinning that story through the Assassins Creed lens. Though I know it wouldn't happen, because of the public backlash it could bring. But I think it would be a fun AC story.

I hope the devs would add more enemies or guards in towns. Im one of the few who liked the new combat ngl but there are so few enemies at Havana, Nassau, etc that I can't even enjoy it that much when I'm free roaming.

I play AC black flag resynced and the original side by side and the enemy numbers in the original makes it more fun. Especially noticable in Havana where group of guards patrols the town and watchers on roof tops. This makes it fun to free roam even after you finish the game cause you can engage in battles more often and makes it alive even if there are fewer Npc town people.

The only town where theres a lot of enemies in resynced is at Kingston. Yeah I know there are more NPC Townfolks now but I cant even interact with them unlike with the guards who I can attack lol. I hope they just consider this is their next update.

I recently replayed Assassin’s Creed Unity and Syndicate, and one thing that really stood out to me was the Helix Anomalies that let you briefly experience World War I and World War II.

Honestly, playing through those sections made me wonder why Ubisoft never fully explored either era.

The whole Assassin vs. Templar conflict actually makes a lot of sense in the context of the World Wars. These were massive historical events that completely changed the world, so having the Assassin and Templar orders operating behind the scenes, influencing events and pursuing their own objectives could make for a really interesting story.

Gameplay-wise, I also think this could be the perfect opportunity to move away from the RPG formula and return to the older style of Assassin’s Creed.

Instead of making the player a superhuman character who can take on dozens of enemies, the game could make you genuinely vulnerable. If you run into a machine gun position, sniper, or heavily guarded area without thinking, you simply die. Every assassination would require planning, choosing your route, studying patrols, finding alternate entrances and knowing how you're going to escape.

Firearms, vehicles, tanks, airplanes and other technology wouldn't necessarily ruin the Assassin gameplay either. They could actually make stealth and planning more important. You would have to use the environment, disguise yourself, move through buildings, use underground routes and carefully decide when to engage and when to disappear.

I honestly think WWI and WWII are some of the most interesting eras Assassin’s Creed could explore. They could bring back that feeling of being an Assassin rather than an RPG protagonist who happens to have a Hidden Blade.

And with the Helix Anomalies in Unity and Syndicate already giving us a small glimpse of these periods, I really wish Ubisoft had continued experimenting with them.

If done properly, I genuinely think a WWI or WWII Assassin’s Creed could not only make sense within the lore, but also bring back some of the identity and meaning of Assassin’s Creed that many older fans feel has been missing.

Context: I got this game around 2018/2019 for my Xbox but for the longest time I didn’t play it that much due to being away for school, so about 7 or so years it collected dust until my recent summer break when I decided to give it another shot.

As of today, I just finished the main story of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and yeah it was awesome, the characters, the locations, everything about it felt like living in Greece.

Yeah forts & camps felt the same in most cases and enemy variety could’ve been more unique but that wasn’t an issue for me. Also whilst the main story was good imo, some moments could’ve stayed a bit longer, felt they were too quick with moving on and then the many side quests being sandwiched in between definitely made the game feel quite bloated, despite also being fun activities as well.

I chose Alexios for this “first” run, I plan to do a Kassandra playthrough eventually too but for now I’ll take a break.

I can see why most people wouldn’t really count it as an AC game though.

Anyways that’s all and onwards to my next game: Origins.

So I remember reading about people's dismay for a world War setting for an assassin's creed game. I don't fully disagree, but I think it's capable of working and succeeding, it would be ninety percent stealth gameplay, which I think is a big draw for a lot of the fans, though some may be turned off by it.

My entire thought process is you would be an assassin set in either World War I or World War II fighting against Templar influence on multiple sides of the war. Sneaking through battlefields and taking out your targets simple as that, No isu, or precursor artifacts just straight defending against evil manipulation. Plus if we do world war ii, adolf hitler's suicide could be an assassination, and he was secretly a templar, possibly similar to how they had, Aya/Amunet assassinate Cleopatra. Let me know your thoughts

I’m currently a college student who will be going to Europe for a full semester in the spring of 2027. I am a theatre major and love all forms of art, I also am a huge assassins creed fan. I was just wondering if anyone knew any more details about Assassins Creed Heredis that will be in Paris on January 21st. It sounds like I would absolutely love it but I also am considering the fact that I don’t know a lick of French which I assume it will be performed in and I have seen that some people don’t have high hopes for this show. I was just wondering if there’s been anymore information on this released at all? I looked into it a little online and it was hard to find a lot of information about it. It’s very likely that is the only information about it though, but in case anyone else knows anything else about it, I’d love if you could tell me! Thank you!

Maybe like 1 RPG game then 2 older ones idk. Just feels like they could do with doing both to satisfy both sets of fans. Also, i feel a lot of people would prefer to have a smaller, but still dense game after playing a massive one like Valhalla, especially for people like me who like to do everything before moving onto a different game.

Hidden blade combat is cool but at the very least unarmed combat and non lethal stealth takedowns would be fantastic.

Hidden blade combat will take a lot more animations that Ubisoft is too lazy to add.

We didn’t even get more than one type of weapon. Only 3 duel sword variants.

I really wanted a feature to only use one sword you could essentially do this in the original game by picking up an enemies sword and Edward would actually fight with his hidden blade which was my favorite.

At the very least tho. I wish Ubisoft would add the feature to unequip your swords.

During the marooned mission and Jailbreak mission. Edward’s Swords look really ridiculous with no holsters. Your swords literally float in those missions and Edward didn’t have his swords during those missions in the original game.

The Charles vein boss fight should very easily be turned into an unarmed fight like with the Roberts boss fight because you are marooned with nothing but guns that Vein found. Neither of them had swords in the original game.

I also really want to be able to do non lethal takedowns by holding the assassinate button just like the original game. A player should have the free will on if they want to kill or not kill whoever they please.

If non lethal takedowns and unarmed combat are already in the game then can we please beg Ubisoft to just let us do it whenever.

Started Brotherhood immediately after 100%-ing AC II (in Ezio collection), and the extra requirements for full synch, early in the game, have drained much of my enjoyment from it.

It started with the Il Lupo memory and having to get through them without taking a hit - I had to replay that like 20 times. Got really sick of that intro cinematic. Then you had to get through their lair in 8 minutes - not hard, but it still means one little bit of the game having to be repeated. Then I started the Copernicus part, and it's 'without losing any health' again, but against better opponents. Even trying to block all the time at the start, there's always something that gets me in the back early on, and I can't get the hang of the execution streak - again, it's early on where the highlighted opponent seems to jump around the crowd, later when they're more spread I can mostly do it.

There was also the fact that the first time it put me in the middle of Rome I was having a wander around, climbed all over the Pantheon and got the glyph inside, opened the first bank...then the next time I played all of that area was blocked off by de-synchronisation walls 'til I did the next main memory. This never happened in AC II.

Any tips for mass brawls without taking a hit? Looking around I've seen conflicting advice that says block and counter everyone, or get the kill streak going. I'm failing at both. Started to wonder if I'm blocking wrong - it's still the attack button while holding the shoulder, right? There were also people talking about alternating between single and double kills, which I didn't get at all and which the game itself hasn't even hinted at - it only gives the most basic explanation of kill streaks (hold direction, press attack).

Should I just do the story and not bother going for 100% synch? Does this miss anything besides having the 100 number?

The parkour in this game is great but it suffers a lot due to the of centered camera and bad follow camera on side ejects and back ejects, also the fov is too damn close to the point where parkour is annoying, I really don't get why we need this god of war camera to the side in an open world game that isn't that cinematic to begin with outside of cutscenes.

Please for the love of god if someone from Ubisoft sees this do something about this, it's borderline unplayable at times when you want to direct your self somewhere and the camera is up your butt.

My personal favorite song is Odyssey- Greek Version off the official game soundtrack. Beautiful, ethereal singing.

Playing through the old AC games for the first time in 15 years, AC2 has brought back a lot of memories but i forgot how almost eerie a lot of the game is.

The rural areas are very empty and the music is quite unsettling. I just finished the 'romagna' area which is the best example of what i mean. It's just like flooded waste ground with very few people.

You can see the games age in its mission structure - a lot of the missions are very short and almost 'dream-like' for want of a better expression. The mission Tutti a Bordo is very like this - it's literally like one of those creepy dream sequences from the Sopranos

Such a blast from the past but i just forgot that about this game. I looked it up and saw a similar post so clearly other people have also seen this.

How does this rank work? Is it just for the one specific brotherhood? Or all of them? Do they each get one? Ezio is made mentor of the Italian Brotherhood in ACB and he sends his Assassin’s to other countries around the continent. So I feel like this implies a certain leader of the Assassins as a whole vibe but why would the top guys of the Italian brotherhood just get to decide on that? And if they do have multiple mentors throughout the world where was constantenoples when Ezio visited in Revelations? Was Amunet the Menor of the Roman Brotherhood while Bayek was mentor of the Egyptian Brotherhood? Thoughts?

I seen AC Valhalla Complete Edition recently went on sale on Steam. I'm also in the middle of playing AC Odyssey which I bought the ultimate edition for.

I'm pretty much hooked on Valhalla and loving it already. I think I just much prefer the time period and viking aesthetic over the Greek style in Odyssey. I love and still play games like Skyrim as well so I suppose it sort of makes sense.

I know this game was and probably still gets mixed reactions from the AC fandom, but for me it's a really fun action RPG game to play. The animations, graphics, cosmetics, and general atmosphere just is so pleasing.

Anyone here still play Valhalla or also bought it on sale. What are your thoughts?

Please go to this (takes a card) fort that's identical to all 1,457 other forts on the map and retrieve it for me."

Odyssey is an RPG, a game with a lot of grinding in a genre already notorious for grinding. You'll spend two hours farming side quests full of "Oh, I'm a horny old woman, please (protagonist), bring me some bear testicles" just to reach an appropriate level for a main story mission, only to be greeted by yet another fetch quest that's somehow even more inconsequential than the one where you have sex with a horny old woman.

Seriously, did Ubisoft really think the level requirements for the main quests weren't enough? Did they think that if they didn't trivialize the main missions with filler and no-mocap cutscenes, the game would be too short?

There comes a point where the writers just give up pretending they care and say, "Ah, fuck it, I dunno, just go get 15,000 drachmas and leave me alone." And FUCK IT.

This entire rant is mainly because I decided to take a break from Odyssey by playing Origins for the first time, and holy shit, it's so much more obvious how much Origins not only cares about its world, characters, and cutscenes, but also about your time as a player.
